"Being alone doesn't mean you're lonely" such a powerful and true statement, sometimes I feel more lonely when I'm surrounded by people not when I'm alone.
As a fellow Black woman in LA, I’m so happy you found a place to restart, recharge and be independent of whatever was holding down your energy negatively. Every woman knows what that is - you’re glowing sis 😊😊
@@MisakoEnvela that would be lovely. All the best with your plans and dreams, and with film school. As a film studies graduate I can say any means of storytelling opens the door for more understanding and compassion
I absolutely love Mexico! I might move to Tijuana because I have tons friends down there & I already go there every month to do humanitarian work in poor communities so your videos actually inspire me to do it ❤️
If I may, you should try and go farther south! The border states and cities are more Americanize, let say. The southern states are a lot richer in every sense, culturally, astronomically, etc Oaxaca, Chiapas, could be great for the humanitarian work that you do. God bless you
That bit about having to earn enjoyment . . . ouch. Ouch in a good way. Didn't even realize I had embraced that way of thinking but that hit home. Thank you!
Can you do a video on how to meet people when living abroad? Other expats or locals? Thinking about going to Mexico City sometime later this year or next year as well
I totally understand leaving a place where your heart was broken. I cannot wait to retire abroad. I live in Jacksonville. Objectively it is a wonderful place, full of opportunity, but I simply don't want to be here anymore. It doesn't feel like home.
This video totally reflects everything I've been thinking about since I decided in January to move to CDMX in a couple months! Even after just making the decision to leave my home city, Ive felt so much growth and change within myself that I can only imagine will further once I get there. I appreciate your perspective and videos so much.
"I found my balance here". Goodness gracious! Happy you was able to find your/an environment where your mind, body and soul can thrive and unfold. Journey well.
7 out of 8 of these lessons happen to be things I've known but have really being needing to _learn_ since 2020. Number 4 might be reason enough for me to bounce from the US right now.
I have been in Mexico for 12 years. I started in the Yucatan, I moved to the state of Veracruz 3 years ago. The hot weather in the Yucatan was getting unbearable. I pray that I will never be forced to move back to the US. Living in a foreign country is not for everyone. But I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity for this very wonderful experience. Hasta la vista baby have a good day no matter where you are
My husband has been thinking about going back to Mexico and, of course he Is the love of my life, I would follow him anywhere. I appreciate you making these videos because it’s been giving me insight. You e opened my eyes a lot and I can definitely write down more cons. Especially coming from another vegan.
Hey, Sunshine... You seem a lot happier and more refreshed. I noticed in a lot of the pictures you took here in the States that you appeared unhappy and sour? I no longer see that now... Growing up in Los Angeles and spending time in Asia certainly changed my life. I came back with a greater sense of balance and appreciation.
Gosh ur videos always make me smile, i juste love ur vibe and ur energies ! I was absolutely not surprised to hear that you’re a cancer 🤍 As a french woman learning english and spanish, and dreaming to live in México one day, I send you huge kisses from the middle of the Indian Ocean 💞
Your videos radiate lots of positivity and good intentions. I appreciate your content a lot and it’s certainly helped me sift through some of my thoughts/feelings as I prepare to move to CDMX this summer. Thank you, Misako!
I had the feeling you were a cancer before you mentioned it. I am as well and you remind me a lot of myself. I love your videos, thank you for sharing what you've learned so far.
Thank you for your transparency. I am currently working through a really rough break up and the place that I am is all I've known my entire life. I came across your video, as I begin to plan my next move, which includes relocating. Not sure where, but Mexico is at the top of my list. As you shared your experience of relocating and the freedom that is has brought you, it truly blessed me. It gave me a wink and a nod that I can do this and it's just about what is best for me at this moment in my life. Thank you! I look forward to reviewing your past content and your future moments. Stay well!
I love how happy you are :') .... you're one of the you tubers that inspired me to move to Mexico too! I got in a car accident the day before I was going to buy my tickets, so I'm currently healing from my car accident injuries...but after I'm healed I'm getting the heck out of the US and moving to Mexico!! :') I can't wait!
Thank you so much for these videos. I am really considering to make the move. Life should not have to be such a struggle here in the United States. Life is meant to be enjoyed and to be lived not live to work. you are truly an inspiration.
What an inspiration! I left LA for Oregon in 2018, bought a place on Mt. Hood in late 2019 & BAM.....the rest is history and I’m thinking of Mexico next, or back to Malibu. I found your channel tonight & wow what an inspiration👏Single ladies we are stronger than we usually realize & YOU are the example so thank you for your brave heart and soul❣️🔥💝
Back to Malibu?? You must be rich! I grew up there when it was a cool little beach town where a middle class family of 6 could afford to live. It has been destroyed by American greed. Breaks my heart what's happened to this once amazing country.
New to your channel, you are beautiful-,so calm..Your honesty is appreciated and well said. I am retired and thinking of spending the cold winters of Toronto in Mexico-2-3 months.I have been watching videos about making that move recently. Want to start researching now,for this winter. Have been to Mexico once, years ago ,with my Daughter, after a divorce,so I can relate to the feelings you are referring to, after a break up.I loved it in Puerto Vallarta for a week .Hope to get some advice from you.
Dear young Goddess. You are perfect. That is really the radiant person you are. Inspiring testimonial. Thanks for sharing your beautiful thoughts and experiences. Sending you lots of love.
Wow. This is such a peaceful and authentic video. I have just found your channel and trust me I will be watching all of your videos. Thank you for being here and giving such a beautiful conversation. Looking to study abroad in Mexico and I feel like your entire channel is radient and calming and the type of videos I need in my life. Thank you. Hope you are having a nice day!
Thanks for sharing, I certainly can identify with so much of what you spoke about. It takes courage to travel, to be alone & to allow oneself to be open to change! The more videos I watch, it appears that Mexico has been a platform for so much spiritual awakening, for so many people of colour. I can’t wait to get there!✈️🌍🙏🏽
These were great points, I actually resonated with some. I came back from mexico city a month ago, loved it! Although I only knew some words in spanish and very little conversation phrases, I really felt the vibe of the place, despite a language barrier, I feel that is true most of where you go. I think a lot of the points you made are due to the Culture we have in the US, so its so different from Mexico. The thing is too we seem to associated Mexico as so dangerous and nothing good about it, as if america is the best in every way and american culture is the best and right way for everything, not true! I cant wait to go back and visit again.
Misaki I must say, THANKYOU for this video! You said so many simple things that my heart needed to hear on today. I appreciate ur transparency like honesty I just do. So refreshing. I love you and all your videos. How have you been able to meet new people? I also moved to MX alone and the thing that’s been holding me back the most is my fear of going out alone, especially to bars or clubs (where I would want to meet people my age) but as a woman I really fear getting attention from people I don’t want it from, and I would rather avoid the whole situation altogether. I didn’t move here just to spend all day in my apartment, but when I don’t have a specific place to be this is what I do...I would love to hear about your favorite and safest ways to meet new people

I’m Mexican American my parents are from Mexico and I dream of living there☹️ we go every year (pre-covid) but my parents expect me to finish college in the US, find a job and make a lot of money😪 I’ve brought up that I want to move to Mexico and my dad is supportive but my mom shuts down that dream real quick because I’m a girl and I have never been independent, far from my family, and for fear of cartels. Last year I lived 4 months with my grandma who lives on a ranch in Zacatecas and I told her how happy life in Mexico makes me and she just tells me to stay but my mom will NOT allow me even though I’m an adult lol😭 my only fear would be trying to find a job and be financially stable on my own.
I'd finish school and find a virtual job and move wherever I want. Your mom's experience of Mexico is hers not yours. There's a saying in Spanish that says "cada uno habla como le fue en la feria". The fact that she couldn't find herself in Mexico is her experience. So sorry but it's true what she doesn't know is that time changes people, locations and this pandemic and technology has opened new opportunities. If you don't like Mexico you can always come back but what you can NOT change is the things that you never did when you wanted to. Good lucky and be strong!

How do you compare CDMX to Playa del Carmen? Which one would you recommend for the first trip to Mexico?
Mexico city is huge, beautiful architecture, green spaces, alot of museums, mostly nice weather
Playa del Carmen area, caribbean beaches, mayan ruins, more touristy, humid climate
If you dont speak any spanish maybe places like playa and surroundings might be easier, also cities like San Miguel de Allende, Puerto Vallarta, Merida
