There are so many books here that I want to read so I’m excited to see what you think of them! You definitely don’t need to read S&B before Six of Crows - it helps with some of the world building and understanding who a few characters are, but if you’ve seen the show, you have all the info needed. I love the original trilogy, but the Six of Crows and King of Scars duologies are WAY better.

The Maidens is a very polarizing book. People either love it or they hate it. I fall in the "love it" camp. I think the key to enjoying The Maidens is remembering that it is a psychological thriller not a mystery. It's not so much about who done it, but why they done it, and how far are they going to go. It is fairly obvious to the reader who our bad guy is right from the get go. It also feels like it should be obvious to our main character, yet it's not. Focus on why our characters are behaving the way they are and I think you will enjoy the book. Either way I look forward to hearing your thoughts.😊

as someone that read shadow and bone..... don't even waste your time lol its only helpful to read first if you want to understand the world a little better but I feel like if you watched the show then you know what you need to know lol

@@harmshoney I actually do think shadow and bone trilogy is worth the read. But the six of crows is definitely the better series.
