I'm really glad I found your channel. I'm always in search of great christian booktubers and feel we have a lot in common. I appreciated your thoughts on the value of myths and fantasy stories and on C.S. Lewis. Thank you for sharing and keep up the great work. Also I just bought Once Upon a Wardrobe for my mother-in-law, so I'm hoping to borrow it now soon!

So much to comment on! All wonderful. Thank you for sharing. I was doing laundry, dishes, and vacuuming while watching this. So, I totally get to need a clean space to relax lol!! You have definitely peaked my interest in this book and I'm really excited to read it. I'm in need of a good fiction to kick my reading off again. I'm in a bit of a slump! But also am in non fiction/personal development books ATM. I tend to bounce back and forth. Also, I wanted to give you a big ol hug seeing you bawl!!! 🤗 *hugs*!! 💛✨️

I really like what you're saying here at the end. We as humans won't get every aspect of Christianity "correct". So it's odd for people to expect Lewis to have all the answers. It's like how people have the assumption that we will become angels when we die and go to heaven. That's not biblically sound, but i don't see people getting up in arms about that. So yes, we can appreciate C.S. Lewis and his works because i think he does get a lot of things right.

After watching this I feel bad that I didn't like this book as much, though I sometimes wonder if I was just not in the right mental headspace to enjoy it. I plan on rereading it in the future though.

It's hard to consider what people say about C.S Lewis because it comes from a condemning standpoint and believing you're sitting on the throne of God and get to decide who goes to hell and who doesn't based on what they said or did which is completely contradictory to Jesus since He died specifically because nothing we said or did could get us to heaven so He had to SAVE us that is the whole point.
