I’m looking after a ladder for a builder. They were doing some work on the houses on my street. Asked if he could leave it in my garden untill tomorrow. Said yeah no problem. That was about a year and a half ago at least 😂😂 did start to wonder if it had been a joke on the apprentice, hiding his ladders. Either way, I have ladders.
It’s based on a common apparently British insult, comparing someone’s hair to a birds nest. It’s not normally used in a harsh way, more just making fun of someone’s appearance
@@AshwinRamdinPlease tell me how I can work instead of claiming benefits. After 25 years of working as a teacher, (paying all my contributions,) I became severely disabled because of a brain injury. Doctors say if I work it could affect me very badly, but also I can't work because I can't learn anything new, (anterograde amnesia,) have extremely limited mobility and get severe sensory overload if I am anywhere where there is background noise. Loud noises cause hyperacusis, (pain in the head.) I also can't concentrate on anything for more than fifteen minutes at a time. Every morning when I wake I am extremely disorientated for around two hours. What would you advise? I loved my job and I still miss it after 8 years of being disabled. I am sure there are people who could work but don't, but many people actually cannot work. I hope you never find yourself in such a position. I never wanted to go on benefits - I had a well paid job that I spent years qualifying for.
This is exactly why I take it with a grain of salt when people talk about "benefit scroungers". Doing something like occasional paid babysitting can be enough to have someone legally branded as a someone who "doesn't need the benefits" coz "look, they're working!". Only 2.7% of people on benefits are considered not to need them, but even out of that 2.7% it wouldn't surprise me if many of them were in a similar situation to mandy here (Edited as it previously said "2%", but the statistic on fraudulent benefits claimants is 2.7%, so rounding down to 2 is a little inaccurate)
@@nakkadu the DWP Report: "Fraud and Error in the Benefit System for the Financial Year ending 2023" reported that Overpayments Due To Fraud in 2022/2023 accounted for 2.7% of benefit expenditure. I actually made a minor mistake in my comment - I got mixed up between the statistic for total fraud percent calculated (2.7% as mentioned above) and the statistic for fraud percent related to false reporting of self-employed income (2.3%). So rounding up from 2.7, the actual sentence should be "Only about 3% of people on benefits are considered not to need them". Not that these two numbers are very different, but still, 3% is slightly more accurate
@@dolphinloser6546 Ok so that's people who have been found to be fraudulent. You said people who "don't need the benefits" which is different. I personally witness people on benefits who are perfectly capable of working, I also know of many people who use the benefits system and who have plenty of disposable income; I believe these are the people referred to as "scroungers" rather than the actual criminals who defraud the system.
@@nakkadu the DWP criteria for fraudulent benefit claimants is if a claimant asks for and receives benefits and then it turns out they don't need them.

Less people to claim benefits means more money in corrupt pockets.. If every person worked and didn't claim, they'd still take even more taxes and hand contracts to their chums. How can you fraudulently claim your own money back? That's a brain teaser.
Always thought it was Queenie. She did bail out sweaty but does not sweat prince Andrew for 12 million to a girl he never met. So the mind boggles on the truth.
The system in Australia is the same. Probably worse. People are killing themselves in record numbers from the sheer poverty and being patronised at every step. (Lowest unemployment benefit in the OECD).
"... drinking caviar and eating supermodels" is permanently burned into my memory now.
Yesssss... I had to play that part back agsin to make sure i didn't mishear! 😂😂😂

Her acting style and comedic delivery make me so happy.
best monologue I've ever been blessed to hear

Like the old saying goes ‘In England they’ll hang you for stealing a loaf of bread but if you steal a kingdom they’ll make you a prince’
If you steal a loaf of bread you will be sent to bondi
pretty much like every other damn country
It was the same in USSR
If you can steal a kingdom you are a prince.
Takes more effort to steal a kingdom
Looking after a ladder for a friend sounds about right

Only billionaires or rich people with lobbyists can get away with making money and not claiming it.
The bird in the hair always works.
what is about the bird in the hair? is this a british joke? help me to understand it! :D

The government needs to stop benefits. People need to start working for a living and stop being laze and entitled.

That's not her real ladder. It's her step ladder.
His moustache though… 😂
The Hitler moustache was a nice touch.
I wonder if he looks at that in the mirror and simply says, "my struggle."
