    I'm so glad to have finally found a sensible packing video where everything the lady owns doesn't have to be pink! :) Ya'll have to stop giving the camera guy a hard time for breathing. He did a great job as well!

    Someone once said they each pack an outfit of their partner's in each other's bag. That way, if one is lost or delayed or stolen, the other will have at least one outfit!
    I always put my shoes at the bottom (when the suitcase is standing) since they are heavier, and will smoosh stuff otherwise.

    Instead of washcloths, I pack the reusable dishrags handiwipes. Usually blue in color. Ultra thn. Cut those in half. Super small and lightweight. Dries completely in no time at all. Can toss before coming home.

    So smart about the bright shoes. I was only lost one time as a kid and it's because I started walking next to some other grown up who was wearing the same color blue jeans as my mom.

    For me? Tinted moisturizer. Works great in place of foundation. I don't usually wear a lot of makeup anyway, so I pack tinted moisturizer, a mascara, and a couple of lipsticks.

    That's so cute about the coloured shoes for your kiddos! I highly highly recommend the dry shampoo that Lush make. it's powder so doesn't count towards your liquids and won't be an aerosol going off in your bag! and it lasts forever :)

By the time I get out of here, I'll have to repack because of the change of season! One of these days. Use packing cubes! If security needs to check, it's much neater. JS.

    I have heard this video on more than one occasion (I'll have TH-cam on while I'm working so I can hear but not see it, first time I had read the comments, I never heard "the breathing". lol I did use the washcloth tip on my first trip to Europe(bought a pack of four at Dollar Tree so I could just pitch them)and was glad I did. Also used the laundry drying with towel tip from another video. Worked out great especially since housekeeping left their cart parked near our room all the time.

    I have been over to Europe twice now and one thing I would suggest is get a collapsible duffel bag and pack it in your check bag. So when you fly to Europe you have your one personal item and one check bag. When you fly back you have your one checked bag, your duffel which you carry on the plane and your one personal item

  • @woltersworld

    @mimcofied, it depends on when you are going. i always take a versatile dress or 2 except in the dead of winter because they are a whole outfit in 1piece of clothing, they also cover a myriad of body flaws ;) ive never known my european friends to wear yoga pants in public, id pass on those and find another pair of pants or leggings. jnxw

    If you're not a tampon person, you can take some Softcups with you. You could take a reusable menstrual cup with you, but keep in mind that you will need something to clean your cup with like bottled water, pH balanced disposable wipes, or even some TP. You will also need to sterilize your cup. Sterilizing tablets like the Milton brand ones would make a good travel-friendly option.
    If you don't want to use typical store-bought menstrual pads (or can't use them because of an allergy or skin sensitivity, as is my case), there are brands out there that make disposable pads made from organic cotton and don't contain any plastic or toxic chemicals. Natracare, Maxim, Organyc, and Veeda are some brands worth looking into. You could bring some cloth pads, but again, you need a way to clean them.

    6:40 carry on??? If you try to bring all these liquids on a flight as carry on (inside the cabin) you will have to throw all the liquids on the trash bin. The regulation is 1 liter maximum, and each bottle cannot contain more than 100ml (even if it is not full). I am surprised that you travel so often and still recommend it.

      There is no limit on liquids in a checked bag. You can pack all your full size products as long as you check the bag. Your carry on may contain liquids as well but it all needs to fit into a quart size bag and each item is required to be less than 3.4 ounces.

    • @marjoriejohnson6535
      @marjoriejohnson6535 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Stephanie is correct ad far as any international flight...(maybe 3 oz. Per container). But that does not include p erscription liquids which must be put in with prescriptions and has to have proper labels.

    I'm a size 12, and while I didn't see this video before packing, I was able to fit more than the weeks worth of clothing in my carryon. I had brought a backpack too but that was more for my laptop and then bringing souvenirs back home. What I was actually more surprised in, was that I fit MORE clothing tossing my clothes back into my luggage rather than the original roll.(fluke) Tip, depending on location, you can reuse certain pants as well like jeans if need be. I also had 3 pairs of shoes.

      Wendy Velazquez I love them! I still usually roll my stuff, then they go in a cube. Also, if TSA or customs wants to check inside your bag, you can get it together much more easily afterwards. Nothing pops out that way, or gets lost.

    • @jocelynwolters293
      @jocelynwolters293 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Wendy Velazquez I have. I'm on the fence with them mostly because I pack 4 ppl in 2 carry-ons and that is a lot of cubes...it makes it more confusing for us somehow. Probably bevause I've never found 4 seperate colors (of my fav cubes) to differentiate easily. Also, this video is from years ago before I had cubes. 😉

Mark you seem like a super nice guy, and it's really none of my dang it business, and it's not about the looks either, but you have a beauiful wife and a couple of wonderful kids who love you to pieces, so please do something about that weight so you could all enjoy each other for many more years to come. The rolling your clothes debate again....I personally prefer to have my clothes flat in a travel flat envelope (not the new cheap soft box ones). When we are staying for a few days the ‘parcel’ of clothes comes out and easy to find certain items in a controlled way. Just my preference but always always less is more

    Very helpful because when I travel I tend to bring everything but the kitchen sink. I'm going to New Orleans in July (I've watched your NOLA videos they're great [and I'm prepared for the heat and humidity]) and I was wondering would wearing my Skechers for arriving in and packing along my gladiator sandals and Converse hi-tops in my luggage. Would that be packing along too many shoes? That being said do you have any advice for people who tend to bring with them everything they've ever owned? I like to be prepared but I don't like my luggage to weigh more than an aircraft carrier

    Do you recommend a steam iron to take along in luggage, for that wrinkle- free experience?

    Oops ! It looks like you have some pretty large bottles of liquids in your little ziplock. You're only allowed 100ml containers(up to 10 of them eg 1 litre) in a carry-on !

    why is it when I watch a video on how to pack , no one ever tells you what size they are using or do they talk about weight. I am always wondering are they not worried about weight , so this is when i see how much you have makes me think ok she knows about the weight Thank you for sharing

    But you can't take the big bottle of contact solution through security, right?....you have to check that....that didn't make sense to me. But otherwise a helpful video, thanks!

    I was wondering the size/dimensions of your carry on and what kind of purse you take? Do you take a camera in your purse then? Thanks.
