Nitroglycerin was use to blast the oil wells for more production flow.
Again ,thank you,Old Cool JOE 🙃🙃👍👍👍👍
Thank you Dennis 👍😁
Enjoyed the video!!
Thanks 👍 Diane
Great video. Likely the wagon carrying 1400 pounds of nitro blew up when the guy hit a bump in the road and the nitro was not packed well. Nitro will do that. My father often told me the story of when he was a young man (maybe a teen, I do not recall). Dad was born in 1909 in Titusville. He said a local nitro wagon blew up and he and some friends went out to the scene when it happened. He helped in the search for the driver. He said the largest piece anyone could find was a small piece of thumb. Nitro is extremely sensitive. Especially when it is warm. The slightest jarring can set it off I was told.
That’s interesting 🤔 Thanks for the info and story I always appreciate your insight 👍 If I lived back then that would be one job I wouldn’t do. Love these crazy stories about the 1800s and early 1900s
Thats odd on the Jury Duty. When I had it, I had to go to the courthouse to see if I got picked or not. But then it was a 3 year free period. I thought you were the Blue Bonnet spokes character for a minute the way you were bundled up lol, almost twins. I have gotten the train from that lower angle before, its a great shot. But with it closed off it makes it too hard to get the shot and still catch anything else on the trip.
Yeah, I figured I was safe for awhile from jury duty 🤔 I could be the blue bonnet spokes person I would make a good one😁 I thought about you when I was down by the bridge 📽
I use to be the Schwans man back in the mid 80’s. I was trained in Titusville, Pa
That's awesome I love there food, but man, you better have a pocket full of money to buy from them.
@@oldskooljoesdailyjoe3734 Yes ! It was expensive back then !
Agree, My grandmother had a huge freeze of Schwan's right to the top of food I Wonder how much money she spent 🤔
@@oldskooljoesdailyjoe3734 You did mention that I heard. I worked there and I didn’t pay a cent. Just did a damage box write off. lol Not sure if that is allowed today .
