These are the top 5 resin issues that mess up your polyurethane resin casts! In this video I explain the common problems and how to avoid them. Overall, Polyurethane resin casting is fairly simple, but there are several common casting issues you need to understand and avoid.

1. Mixing Off Ratio
2. Poor Mixing/Under Mixing
3. Moisture Contamination
4. Incompatible Additives
5. Wrong Release Agent
These common mistakes lead to bubbles, warped parts, and oily parts that will not take paint.

Now I know why my resin is foaming!
I just thought it was old. It's been sitting in my hot Texas garage and taking on moisture.
Strange thing is the caps are so tight I have to pry them open.
Any way to uncontaminated resin?

@@AlphaProto I have heard of people pulling a vacuum on the individual components to remove humid air, but usually the damage is already done. 😕
