Handpan Chop Shop: Volume 01

Really exciting to be releasing this project with my friends, who are also super talented handpan players. The idea was for each player to write a melody over the beat, and then to solo over a slightly different version of that beat. Volume 1 features David Charrier, Alexandre Lora, Reo Matsumoto, Jeremy Nattagh, Adrian J Portia, Jacob Cole and myself. Enjoy!

Did you arrange the sequence of players according to the flow of the overall music, or was it random?

hey peter. yeah it was a matter of arranging everyone based on what they sent...actually a lot more work than i anticipated haha! trying to keep an order a little bit so its not like people when first on the melody and last on the solo, but also blending based on how the parts started and ended. trying to let the parts spill over into each other a little bit to make it more of a "jam" feeling, but there are some editing things i'll do differently next time.
