That's a racist attitude. We have no idea what life is like for the people there or what kind of problems they have. I have a friend who is Inuit. She said that it was racist for people to want them to live as they used to. She said, "The tundra is there. If I wanted to travel with the cariboo, I could. We wanted warm houses, snowmobiles, and education and adventure for our kids." You have no idea what people would want or how hard their lives are.

The fisherman were not "persecuted". They aided John Chau in breaking Indian law which forbids people from landing on the island.

I'm sorry to be a downer,but I have read this man's story, and it seemed to me that he had a "martyr's death wish." I don't see where he asked the Lord for wisdom or to guide him in this decision,but just barged ahead making all of his own plans. Did God tell him to go? I have learned the hard way to wait on God for spcific direction especially in a matter so huge. Even Paul was told no about some places he wanted to go-this is just my insight and you could say the men who gave their lives for the Auka did the same thing-but Ms Elliott stayed behind and GOd did use it wonderfully.

Did you even watch this video in its entirety? Didn't you hear what Todd Nettleton of Voice of the Martyrs Radio said about the misinformation in the earlier stories about John Allen Chau? How John Chau spent 9 years learning the language & preparing to go to North Sentinel Island? Were you there during John's devotional time with the Lord? Did you overhear or read all his prayers?
Pls don't judge this martyr based on some story you read!!!

Even a small handshake with a tribal there risks wiping them out to extinction. He even bribed some fishermen, now im not a christian but i do know bribery is a sin according to the bible and he did it even after being a so-called MISSIONARY. I know you're not God so you don't know. But I would love to hear one good thing that comes out of continuing to go to an island that is isolated and kills EVERY human that lands on it's shore before anything can even been said and understood. That's not dying for the sake of the Gospel or Christ. You can't even get that far. We need to find the few people who leave the island and learn other languages then God has to save someone like that who CAN go back as a former native who can speak the language to bring them the Gospel.

I also believe that all people need to follow the laws of the land, it’s a criminal offense for anyone to go near north sentinel island, punishable by imprisonment and a fine. As you know these people have been isolated from all other people and their immune system is very fragile just one human contact could decimate the whole tribe😭
I pray that churches and parachurch organizations stop encouraging people to go to an island where no one knows the language and where the island people are always killing anyone who comes near. You cannot spread the Gospel if you cannot speak the language and they kill you within hours of landing there. I find it very tragic.

@@devintaylor8702 I get the heartbreak of not being able to tell people about the salvation of Jesus. But if people kill you before you can speak to them, and do this to EVERYONE (so they don't even know what the message might have been) there is no sense in continuing to encourage people to go to an isolated island. We can pray for them and look for any who might leave the island. Find out who would then be best equipped to return as a native islander (of that place) and be able to bring the Gospel that way. Otherwise, it's really a suicide mission that never has even a chance to tell anyone about Jesus. Would you agree?

They taught them about clean food so there is a better chance they will not get sick. Some missionaries have taught the tribes to stop fighting each other and the tribes made peace with each other for example Papa new Guinea. When the Catholic church that came to North and South America they were very bad and used weapons to convert the natives. Not all missionaries are like the Catholic church. A long time ago people did not know how diseases worked. But today they have modern medicine to help sick people.

John Chau was not a martyr but an obsessed fanatic who valued his obsession more than life. His life was wasted on that island and he knew it would be that way. Perhaps he had a death wish. Those people just want to be left alone. John's life could have been better spent ministering to people in prisons or inner cities. He could have taken at risk kids on nature hikes. But no , he deliberately chose death. His death was more like a suicide.

Telling someone about Jesus is not "converting" anyone, Noone has the power to convert anyone its simply telling them about Jesus. However, if it so be that the WORDS of GOD cut thru and a person has a change of heart.....that would be all the better.
@@here545 It is converting if you try to use force. This man kept going to the island to "tell" them about Jesus. They made him leave twice. It was his third attempt to the island that he ended up shot. He was not going to stop trying to impose his beliefs on the tribe.

*John is a true martyr because now that he has been killed for the Gospel, God's judgement is upon that island. God may humble the island like He did with Egypt and they will become desperate for His forgiveness and His salvation. He Broke the law of my country, as per indian govt laws, it is illegal to go near the island as Those tribals dont have immunity to even common diseases like flu. Even a small handshake with a tribal there risks wiping them out to extinction. He even bribed some fishermen, now im not a christian but i do know bribery is a sin according to the bible and he did it even after being a so-called MISSIONARY. My advice: leave those savages alone! During the Tribulation, the angels/two witnesses will be preaching the everlasting gospel, so they will hear it then. Anyone who has not heard the gospel before the Tribulation will hear it during the Tribulation. They will have the chance to repent.
There are people that will die before that happens. A lot of revelation has been going on since the beginning of time, some people don't fully understand that coded language of the Book of Revelations.

I have been thinking this all along. God saves, we don't save. If humans can't reach a people group with all these heroic efforts, God will make sure they are told the Gospel in their own language by those angels will be proclaiming it before or during the Tribulation.
