Do you prefer DMZ the way it is now with No Gear Fear or more like it was in Season 1 when dying was a real penalty?

Yeh I think ALL games need real (in game) repercussions for dying. It adds major drama to the choices you make.
Love the ligth penalty from dying make the game more casu friendly.
I don't feel the need DMZ as to become a Tarkov like game.
The casu/lose part is what make DMZ a great game
Gear fear in season 1 had more to do with the constant crashes than anything else. The rng was completely different, and it felt like you could pick up a three plate and a bag much easier back then!

I couldn’t agree with you more.Honestly I never quit at anything and I’m very competitive but I’m also a solo so it makes it so damn difficult for me to complete missions.Id literally have to find 2 or 3 players that play DMZ for missions and not just to hunt players.That alone is difficult cause they’re all out to hunt players like you stated….and that’s the reason i call myself a DMZ quitter 😢…reason I only play alone is because I can’t stand a teammate that is demanding and thinks he can tell everyone what to do.Look I’m all for good advice and teamwork but I’m not for demanding teammates that just like to power trip….id like to think I’m not asking for much in a teammate but maybe from someone else’s view I’m too picky 😂

You know, I see a lot of videos claiming this kinda thing, no gear fear in DMZ. But as a player that sucks at the PvP aspect of DMZ, I have a lot of gear fear. I have my cash stash maxed out but I dont like to waste it, I can drop in and insta-regear, but the MOMENT I run into players I panic or screw up almost every time and die then lose everything I Just gained, even if its easy to get the gear, I dont care to have to every single time I drop back into DMZ. So skilled players that PvP, no fear sure. Bad players that prefer to PvE, I feel like theres a difference personally.
And I wont pay $70 for MW3 to play Zombies, I was interested in that but, the investment wasn't worth the money to me.
Regardless of differing opinions, watching youtubers in DMZ is still fun, more fun usually than trying to play it myself XD I never even finished my missions either and just mostly moved onto other games since DMZ went hardcore PvP mode when it lost the little 'love and care' it was getting from the devs.
Playing with random squad fills is 99% spawn rushing and your teammates dying immediately almost every time. Half will complain “man come get me there’s only 3 of them” and the other half backing out instantly. There’s no gear fear because they’re coming in with trash gear hoping to somehow take on any teams, often those having fully kitted out operators.
The game was much better when it was being updated but also when people actually tried to do missions.
I still do missions and pvp at the same time.... usually pvp with newbies and have to save them or guide them.... never give up on missions and final exfil. Great comment so true....
I never squad fil now. I might only play a raid or two each time I play now so I don't care to spend it taking the chance of either having to babysit or play medic to a bunch of noobs. Unlike most I still attempt my missions and I often get away with it, but that's half the fun.
I love it so much when someone wants to aggressive push then get angry that you pulled out the dub.

People are more worried about wiping everyone from the map than actually doing missions or just trying to enjoy the game. I feel like I'm constantly having to regain my characters I mean granted I'm not the greatest player but I still enjoy playing the game more than anything. It's literally the only game I play anymore. But either way Keep up the content man 💯 % always a good time when you play with Westie and Stodeh

Love watching you guys. I do have one question though. How do you know how many plates someone has left? I’ve heard you mention it a few times on vids but I’ve no idea how you can tell. Feel I am missing a trick with it when I’m in DMZ.

Dying was never a penalty.
Getting geared has always been exceptionally easy - always been my biggest gripe with the game.
Coming from The Cycle where losing a purple plate or w.e would legit feel bad haha.
So you had to pick your fights etc.
What are your PC specs, Phix?
Gear fear made this game fun. As much as I think exploits and glitches are lame, I feel like since I play normal like you do I have more fun when I’m able to take down these cheaters

Yes but you need to look at the nose of the chopper when taking off and during flight. If you turn to look into the chopper it can kick u off
I run the WANG clan tag but I only engage if players are hostile.

I want my gear and doing in game contracts get perks. If you get up to ghost i think it stops spotting scopes marking you.
Hey, love the content. We've probably crossed each other in a match or two 😊 I get heated & angry when I get taken out. Gear Fear, that, makes sense. I bust my butt sometimes for days dong it solo because alot of randoms have no coms/com skills, or ping incoming threats lol. Therefore, solo it is. I apologize if we met on bad terms before! The worst kind of teammates are the ones who push blindly at every fight without any comms, until they die then turn on their mike and start yelling at you for not being with them. Look man, I can't read your mind, and I am not gonna push every team we see. I take fights I think I can win. Does that make me a coward? I don't think so but everyone's welcome to their opinion. :)
Yes, gear fear would have changed the entire game play. I would like to add, in reference to DMZ not providing enough $. I'm not aware of any promotion of the DMZ at launch. We literally stumbled upon it season 1 and we were confused on what the mode actually was. Truely the best immersion game imo.
They had a play test for creators at a cod event and a trailer or 2 is all I can remember
@SevenToes I wasn't very involved watching creators at that time, so from our viewpoint, it was very unknown. Glad they did something. Dmz is what opened our crews eyes on extraction shooters from console. We want more! Have a great day buddy.

bra that was yesterday so i come from school high eshi its like 4:50 i hop on dmz i join a game at some point we were at a gas station if i can rmb than a whole team comes and pushes our team we didnt even have good gear just 1 plate vest they got clapped and i was like what the hell just happen im like im high eshi bruh cause i suck cheeks and i barely get kills when we exfil i ended up getting 2 kills my teamate gets 4 and my other teamate gets 2
No gear fear? I don't necessarily agree with that. Perhaps to you there is no gear fear since you're a high level player. I would hate losing my contraband stash.

This game is just a spotting scope, snipe and push when they are at a fisadvantage fest. It was more exciting with missions. Last two games I got rushed by an invisible player who know exactly where I was without a uav. Then I got sniped through walls and chased down while running through buildings. A bit pointless playing at all if there's too many hackers.
If anybody wants a veteran DMZ player to get missions done let me know.
