.Thats a nicely put together amp Martyn. Selmer used to make some tasty gear back in the day. Just the transformers and tubes alone in that are worth a bit. It's a shame you didn't get to restore that one. I love the compact layout!
Now that is an amp worthy of bringing back. I'll wager in good nick it would take pedals extremely well. Mores the pity. Offer a discount for the channel!
Is this the most 'compact' 30 watt valve amp ever made ? Sounds like it had plenty of potential and probably worth spending a few quid to get it back to it's former glory. Shame the owner didn't want to go ahead with it's resurrection.
Hello Alan. Thanks for that. I never really delved in to it much. I couldn't really see much inside it without taking it to bits. I just assumed it had the pre-amp tubes under the power tubes. I never pulled the schematic for it. I should have done for the video really. I will have a look now. Thanks again Alan. Take care.
There is a very curious amp IMO Martyn. I wonder if the slight hum I am hearing has anything to do with the low output. Or is non-operating tone pot bleeding off some signal strength??? A curious amp indeed.
Hello Michael. I think there were several things wrong with the amp. The first stage was a transistor. Probably blown. The caps, in bad shape and one of the tubes damaged internally. It would have made a good video, but alas, the customer didn't want to shell out the money. Take care.
Hello, sorry for the late reply. I have had the flu. I am two weeks behind with everything. Can you drop me an email? I will give you some details. vintageguitaramprepairs.co.uk/repairs/ Thanks. Take care. Martyn
Has a very clean tone tone. Would love to hear a bass through it. Thanks for sharing. Cheers!

Hello. I did offer to buy it for the channel, but the customer didn't want to sell. Thanks for watching and take care.

My first real amp, bought used from Bristol Musical… with a 2x12 cabinet - early 70s
It was always going to be a 13A fuse in that plug.
OC71 input stage!

Hi. What do you charge to have a look? I've got a Selmer that blows fuses and I'm not too far away from Mansfield.

It looks like a bit of lab equipment!
Hello Chris. It does a bit. Like something made by Tandy, if you are old enough to remember. Take care Chris.
