They are hungry. Put out sugar water on a plate. They will devour it. I get so excited when I see my first bumble of the season! Late summer they hatch in my garage, so I pick them up off of the floor and carry them out to green plants. They are so sweet when they are first out of the nest. Very trusting.
I've seen you can cut open fruit for them also. And you can put a bunch of pebbles in a shallow dish or bottom of a flower pot and poor water in it for them durning the summer months, the pebbles keep them from drowning. . This is so awesome
Hey Y'all. Jami your Mom did an amazing job teaching you to be a gardener!! You've come a long way and I love it. Prayers for a successful growing season. 🙏💜
Sad, And yeah, the bees can eat the fruit. We didn’t have much snow at all in the northern middle part of Minnesota. But then yesterday a bunch of it dumped in a few hours. For us it’s a very typical thing~~ But the bees are safely tucked in their hives around this time. Don’t worry too much though God’s got their backs and I’m sure they have a storage in their hive. It’s nice that they’re still alive in there.
I could not be among all those bees. You are so brave to get right up in there with them. I don't know a thing about bees, but I would build your bee box and see if there is a queen near by. I think if you can get her in that box you are golden
I saw a video recently that showed you can buy these holders that look like flowers and you put them in your garden but it is for bees to eat out when you don’t have flowers for them. It was really neat.
You artichokes will come back as long as they have green in the middle and they do better each year. As long as there is no crown rot, they will be fine and at least in my experience, artichokes do better the older they get. Those bees will probably get into those papayas and they will be happy as can beeeee...ha, ha. Since they are not in a "swarm", they most likely already have a home so no worries about that. Showing your garden at this stage is real. Mine still has snow on it but it would look the same. I am jealous of your brocolli. I just can't get it to grow. It is either too cold or I get those nasty bugs. And asparagus is so fun. Does take a few years before you get enough, but it still is so cool. Enjoy your warm weather. We have months before I can start thinking like that in Massachusetts.
Turnips are great low carb alternative for potatoes. You can make turnip salad just like potato salad and it won’t spike your blood sugar. Such a great veg!
Good Monday morning Jami fur babies and bees. I feel for the bees. I'm glad to see them as they had a mystery issue going on before where many were dying and didn't know why. Don't know how they are now. Hope you have a wonderful day 😊❤❤
Most peppers are tender perennials. They can live for multiple years if you can bring them inside for freezes. I have 2 jalapenos and a habanero that I move into my garage anytime the forecast looks too close to freezing. I have a floor lamp with grow lights that I just leave on for them.
How did I miss this video!? Lol it's definitely crazy you have so many 🐝 hopefully they just come for food and don't start being a problem ❤ bees scare me because I got stung 1 time ever when I was in highschool and the whole right side if my face swelled up... but according to the dr I'm not allergic but I will most likely be the next time 🤨 idk 🤷♀️ idk how that works but I definitely don't want to find out lol
Hey Jami. Maybe this is a sign to get your bee box sooner rather than later. I can't wait to see the outcome. As always, sending love and prayers ❤😊🇬🇧✨️
When we moved to Florida 15 years ago I had a papaya tree that got knocked down in a bad storm. We tried the papaya and it tasted yucky! I was disappointed as when I was a little girl in Detroit we actually had papaya juice delivered to us and was so delicious.
The only thing keeping me from going into a full blown panic attack with those bees is this is a video. I still am panicking for you. I pray I never have to experience that many bees. I would not step a foot outside until they are gone. You are 100 times braver than I could ever be. Just saying. Be safe ❤😊❤
It looked like there was a rotting papaya at the top of the plant smash that one-the bees will on their own will find cover. It was hard to tell what kind of bees they were? if they were honey bees or hornets
GET THE BOOK CARROTS LOVE TOMATOES. This is a good book tried and tested by my own mother that works. This is a direction on what plants grow well with another and why.
I would be more concerned with them burrowing a hive in your ground. Maybe they'll eat your cutter ants. I would put a large cardboard box out in the grass next to the plant. I bet they would swarm it, and you could box them up to the hive once you get it.
Y es i would cut the papaya that fell onto the ground i would put some sugar water in a bowl and I would also put a bucket of cold water out too and try to leave it in the shade
They are smelling the scent of the rotting Papya. They have no food and they will go to any scent that seems like food to them. You have to get rid of the the fruit. Burry it.
Thank you Jami for helping the bees that have arrived early, I would think about a bee box they would be an asset to your garden this spring ❤

They will only stay in a bee box with a queen bee. You order queens. They send a few and you can let them hatch in your hand. So fun!
I've seen you can cut open fruit for them also. And you can put a bunch of pebbles in a shallow dish or bottom of a flower pot and poor water in it for them durning the summer months, the pebbles keep them from drowning. . This is so awesome
Jami, that is so sweet of you to help the bees. Have a wonderful day.
Good Morning Jami 🌻🐝. Thank you for helping the bees. Your heart is so kind. I hope you have a great Monday. Love y'all ❤️

Why did You Tube just put this in my notification box. They should have done that 6 days ago! Wow! Interesting phenomenon.
Same here only just got this notification

Jaimie try cutting open the papaya… take a wedge out in a few places and let the bees feed on it
Yes set up a bee box now Jami. Stephanie can help you ❤❤❤❤

There must be a Queen around. Bit early for them. Watch out for hive building see if there a honey farmer locally to help. 🐝 🐝
I heard the bees just as the video started. You have a big heart So concerned for the hungry bees. I hope we have a part 2of saving the bees. 🐝
Maybe you can spot the hive, they may be starving they will live the sugar water 😂❤😂❤😂❤😂❤

Bees nest in the ground and leaves that’s why it’s suggested to wait awhile before you start cleaning up your yard.

Thanks for helping the bees
Steve we need your help come save the bees and help out Jami. Love my farm family.❤❤❤❤❤
Hello Jami. Good luck with your gardens. ❤
Bee happy but papaya sad. Subscribe, like, and comment to help the garden thrive.
Yes, call Steve about the bees.❣️❗️
I know bees are so important for the environment, but they scare the bejesus out of me because I am highly allergic and have to carry an epipen.
You need to put rocks in the water for the bees to stand on so they don’t drown.
The bees 🐝 look like they need a home. Maybe Stephanie would help you out. ❤
That plant is called camelia we have loads of them all with open flowers open on them.
I have 6 or 7 of them.
Maybe split open the fruit on the plant 🌱
Looks like you need to get ahold of Stephanie and have her come and set up a bee hive for you soon there later...
Maybe Time oUt Tuesday can be with Steve comin out and do a walk about, and just throw some ideas aroud💋💨🥰
You need to have a Queen or they will fly away. 😂
Pawpaw is the bee 🐝 expert
That’s the first thing I thought. She should call Paw Paw.
Jamie you are awesome taking save the bees to whole new level!!!!!🐝❤
Good Monday morning 2/3 Jami ☕️☕️🤗🤗
Oh my gosh I've never seen that, or heard that before!😮
Add some of the horse and goat poo to the garden when you clean the stalls
Dill is wonderful to have for swallowtail caterpillars 🐛

You need a bee keepers suit and head gear Jami. Be careful you don’t get stung.

Be safe ❤😊❤
I would definitely put up a bee box! And put out sugar water! You’ll have honey in no time!
I would grow my Papyas in the greenhouse where they would be safe from the coldest temps. Then you could eat some.😊
Must be a sign for you to get the bee box❤
I don't think all plants are dead so don't totally give up on them. Wait a bit and then cut back
Camellia is pretty and pink
I was ready for spring after the first cold day . Yes, I know we need the cold, but I don't like it.
You should give the pigs your pumpkin, they like them
Hungry want food, yes have Steve come get them or start a home for them.❤ leave a container of sugar water out for them.
Maybe Stephanie can help you set up a hive for them.
Put out sugar water like you said..as long as it's a shallow dish they won't drown
Call Steph, because they have Bee Hives, she may know what to do.
The dead parts will help with new growth. Leave be for a bit. Oh you need banana plants.
Did denmans replace their bees yet? Maybe she or pawpaw could help you build a couple boxes
It looked like there was a rotting papaya at the top of the plant smash that one-the bees will on their own will find cover. It was hard to tell what kind of bees they were? if they were honey bees or hornets
Good Morning Jami. Do you think they have a nest in the ground. I hope Your animals do not run through the bees.
Ask paw paw he will know what to do or Steph would be good
That garden looks really good considering the weather!! Really you just lost tropical stuff🤷🏻♀️💚😊
I heard a chainsaw, possible a feral hive just lost their home.
Cut the papaya, maybe?
I am not sure but I use to hear that honey Bees are becoming more extinct but I never researched this
Yum! Sliced turnips sliced with salt.
There must be a bee hive somewhere in the woods
Steve's allergic to bees.
Call Brooke, she fed bees in the winter before
Maybe you should talk to Steph about putting up hive boxes.
They are after that sweet papaya, cut all that fruit in 1/2, which is probably no good, put the fruit away from your door because they will sting you!
I’m surprised how big the fruit got
GET THE BOOK CARROTS LOVE TOMATOES. This is a good book tried and tested by my own mother that works. This is a direction on what plants grow well with another and why.
That's alot of 🐝's!
Stephanie can help call her❤
Is it a sea I’m. Tell Steph to come get them.
Hi 👋 Jami 🫶🏻
morning jami
❤❤
Flowers are camillea japonica 🌺
👏💕🙏🏻
I would be more concerned with them burrowing a hive in your ground. Maybe they'll eat your cutter ants. I would put a large cardboard box out in the grass next to the plant. I bet they would swarm it, and you could box them up to the hive once you get it.
What about Pawpaw maybe he wants to aet up a house for them. This thaught just came to me Jamie.
Jamie please put out sugar water that is what pawpaw does
How’s have I not seen this video for 6 days. I’ve just gone back to look, it’s not come up in my notifications 😡
Wow, get Stephanie to bring a starter bee box for you. It's a swarm looking for a home.
Yes ❤❤❤❤❤
Y es i would cut the papaya that fell onto the ground i would put some sugar water in a bowl and I would also put a bucket of cold water out too and try to leave it in the shade
Hear them.
Slice the papaya on the stalk
Looks like a Camilla tree jami
They are smelling the scent of the rotting Papya. They have no food and they will go to any scent that seems like food to them. You have to get rid of the the fruit. Burry it.
