Benitta thank you for speaking about this.
I'm in Australia and can relate to some of the points you made.
It is so lonely out here and I miss speaking my language 🥲

Hey Benitta, I am a grade 11 girl who wants to move to America to study nursing, but my mother always tells me that America is not a place, you want to live in forever. This video helped me to understand better what it is like that side and is definitely motivating me to move there after all.

We appreciate your vulnerability 🥺 also this helps many people stop over-romanticizing moving abroad.

The culture shock of humanity makes it very hard to live in America. The fact that people don't greet and not friendy makes it very lonely. Yeeer they pass you like they are passing a pole😂 Ka tika nyana🙆🏽‍♀️😂

It depends on which state you move to, if you move to southern states, people usually will greet you and talk to you, but not the northern cities.

Benitta, please talk about things like sim cards, airplane experience, transportation, bank, and university in terms of dorms, bathrooms, and food for international freshman students in the USA

I get you with the not being able to let family in on things. I am here in SA but very far from home, I struggle so much to let them in on what is happening on a daily or call them every time I have problems, most times I just think they won't be able to do anything about it anyways because they are far so might as well put on big girl panties, deal with it and keep moving. They mostly hear about things after they have happened and even after weeks or even months, I am really working on it man because they call me out on it oko (especially my dad😂) Also you would be surprised how much prayer over the phone changes things.

Ayyy😂😂 it’s like you’re speaking on my behalf. Sometimes my fam finds out on TH-cam 😭😭😭 and that’s always months after the event 🤣 but you’re so right, even a prayer is something helpful and can lift your spirits

@5:40 there was a lady who recently made a TikTok, she’s black British and thought “Karen” was something Americans made up but she came to America & a 👱🏻‍♀️- lady randomly started harassing her. So she was like 😮 it’s real?
Also in African American & the first time I understood police brutality was when I was 12, my friend came to school sad , said her brother , a teenager, was knocked down and jumped by the police just because they told him, they looking for a black guy with black sneakers. And she and her brother was Nigerian 🇳🇬. They are looking for ppl with brown skin, not just African Americans.
