The irony is that the scrubs, plants and grass are trim at to frequent intervals this deprive the butterflies, bees, Beatles, ants and birds to feed and germinate the flowers and seeds. There is total lack of fruit trees like rambutans, chiku,Jambu ayer, jackfruit.star fruit and mata Kuching that will attract more birds and squirrels to our parks. NEA can also introduce rabbits and fowls. Most trees planted at our parks does not give enough canopy to the birds and other tree dwellers cover from the elements.Wild undergrowth should be left alone not ripped off bare.

I live in a very cultivated region (on a golf course ugh) so I keep dead wood in my yard and plant fruiting species, im even going to graft female branches onto some of my native male trees to establish a fertilizing pair on our property, it's not a lot but it's better than nothing

What an amazing video. However one small concern I have is people taking these specimens home which is happening in our tidal zones now

I would keep the specimin that was fruiting already for another year to get seeds from it, if this plant is passing down the genes for fruiting more quickly that is something we want to cultivate in this situation. It mught delay getting that phenotype into the wild slightly but it will more greatly increase the population of it to cultivate the variant a bit

I wonder if rooftop farming at HDB estates/MSCP's will take off in a big way someday. I've seen a few examples in ST over the years but nothing widescale.
Imagine all you neighbours pitching in everyday, I think if people fear loss of kampung spirit, this will bring it back.

Unfortunately rewildibg is much more difficult than planting monocultures and the majority of those trees didn't even survive the first year lol
Don't get me wrong it was great to see people caring about the environment but planting non native monoculture can actually hurt the environment
