Hello guys, Kristína is singing about Horehronie, a region in Central Slovakia (mountainous part). How it´s trees are the most beautiful and thats where she goes when something saddens her and she lays in the grass dreaming in a gentle breeze, when the sun is at it´s lowest.

I used to think why do people even like this song, but after it getting stuck in my head and listening to it for a while, i'm a total convert. It's amazing.
One of the best songs never to qualify for the final of Eurovision Song Contest. I have been looking on TH-cam for ages as this is one of my favourite entries in the history of Eurovision. Brilliantly choreographed incredible music and vocals. Could have been the winner.
Slovakia sent 7 songs in the past (8 if you count Milstreet), but overall there are only 2 good ones. This and 2011. Compared to Slovenia who has sent greats songs since 2011..... sorry :/
The Slovak entry in 2011 was RUBBISH! Just some average pop song in English, which was really lame. The best were 1998 (Modlitba), the one from 2009 (Nela and Kamil) and Horehronie.
@@MmeKastaffiore well lemme tell u about the story of Slovakia in Eurovision: As soon as this country became independent from Czechslovakia, in the same year of 1993, Slovakia attempted to make their first apperance in ESC, but failed. Slovakia however, made it to Eurovision final for the first time in 1994, marking their first appearance in Eurovision. However they were in the bottom 7 in the contest that year and not eligible to participate the following year 2 years later, in 1996 Slovakia successfully made it the final for the second time. This year also marked Slovakia's best result in the contest til this day. However, they were in the bottom 7 once again and was relegated the next year ESC 1998 marked Slovakia's last appearance in the contest for a very lobg time. This year also the last time Slovakia performed in the grand final Slovakia did not comeback to Eurovision for 11 years (1999-2008) However, Slovakia finally decided to make a returning in 2009. Their comeback was very unsuccesful when they finished second last in the 2nd semifinal with 18th out of 19 countries They however sent a talented singer to the contest in 2010 with a BIG hope that she's gonna make Slovakia back to final again. But no. Everything was a downfall to them. Not only they failed to make it but they, once again, like 2009, second last place with 16th out of 17 countries In 2011, Slovakia first ever song performed in English cuz they might know that bc of their old school music style was outdated so they thougt they should change their type of music than still have a slight hope of qualified to he final. But not again, they still didn't make it to the final the 3rd time in a row. However, since their returning in 2009, 2011 is still by now Slovakia best result in the contest so far 2012 was the last time we see them in the contest before they decided to leave the contest for the 2nd time. This time, they decided to change their music style completely. From ballad to rock. But still they not only didn't make it to the final 4 times in a row but this time Slovakia ended dead last place in the 2nd semifinal. Since 2013 to now, Slovakia hasn't made a decision to comeback to ESC

@@tom_4546 2007. That was Andorra's biggest hit that didn't qualify.
I’m sure Europe wasn’t ready for such a masterpiece like this.... but anyways this is the most underrated song of the 2010 edition.... listening to this song make me feel like I’m in middle of the forest running for something important like trying to save someone
I think, that Slavic countries had to support Kristina. This language is understand a little for slavics. Underrated. :c
Арсений Гогерчак That's true. I'm from Poland and I understand about 50% of this song.
Hello guys, Kristína is singing about Horehronie, a region in Central Slovakia (mountainous part). How it´s trees are the most beautiful and thats where she goes when something saddens her and she lays in the grass dreaming in a gentle breeze, when the sun is at it´s lowest.
The real winner
I need Slovakia back in the Contest along with Turkey and Bosnia. 💔
It's an absolute travesty that this didn't do better, I had it down as potential winner back in 2010.
It is official! Slovakia will participate in Eurovision 2025
Hope andorra will follow
It’s not official. Slovakia is hoping for a 2025 return but nothings confirmed
Watching this video and thinking about this not qualifying, breaks my heart
Me too . It breaks my heart. It should've come top 3
it's been years and i still can't believe this didn't qualify
No final = crime. Best song from Slovakia.
I don't understand a word, but I like it.
I don't understand how she didn't made it...
Madalin Constantin she’s singing about a part of Slovakia - Horehronie ... 🌲🍂🍃🦔🌲🍃🌳🌳🌾⛰⛰🏕
Oh man 2010 had such amazing songs😍😍😍😍Probably my favorite year ever.
Such an underrated gem
Keď sa slnko skloní na Horehroní
Chce sa mi spievať, zomrieť aj žiť
Keď sa slnko skloní na Horehroní
Túžim sa k nebu priblížiť
Na tráve ležím a snívam
O čom sama neviem
V tom vánku, čo ma kolíše
Keď je slnko najnižšie
Najkrajšie stromy sú na Horehroní
To tiché bratstvo vraví poď
Sem sa vždy vrátim keď ma niečo zroní
Vravia to stromy: z piece zhoď
Raz sa to stratí do čiernej hory
Na tráve ležím a snívam
Oči tíško plačú
V tom vánku, čo ma kolíše
Keď je slnko najnižšie
Á… á… á… á…
Na tráve ležím a snívam
Oči tíško plačú
V tom vánku, čo ma kolíše
Keď je slnko najnižšie
Najkrajšie stromy sú na Horehroní
Глеб Горбацевич thanks!
Very good song but very underrated and it is one of my favourite of esc 2010.
Still can't believe how this entry finished second to last... Love from Greece ❤❤
Sumfwnw
Should have won the whole contest
One of my favourite ESC songs ever :) Slovakia come back! Poland thought it through, improved and came back, now we do well (in light of our results over the years)
Thank you for your support ♥ greetings from Slovakia
Dearest Slovakia,
Please come back to us.
love, Europe
Edel-ann Tafalla :-(
I voted for this and was so shocked that it didn't pass throught to final! :O
Who's here after knowing that Slovakia will PROBABLY participate in 2025?😍
My real winner of this 2010 edition
Most underrated song EVER
I used to think why do people even like this song, but after it getting stuck in my head and listening to it for a while, i'm a total convert. It's amazing.
Should qualify i hope Slovakia comeback
This deserved top 5. At least. Europe didn't clean their ears that night.
Nejlepší song našich bratia v eurovizi🇨🇿♥️🇸🇰
One of the best songs never to qualify for the final of Eurovision Song Contest. I have been looking on TH-cam for ages as this is one of my favourite entries in the history of Eurovision. Brilliantly choreographed incredible music and vocals. Could have been the winner.
The best usage of the simple stage design this year no doubt.
22. Oktober 2017 and i'm still mad as hell that she didnt make it to the final
This should have won, it's literally the best song ever!! Love from Spain, please come back Slovensko!!!
One of the best songs ever of all Eurovision's years.
Slovakia
Slovenia
united in under appreciation
Collision SC- I meant in general
Slovakia sent 7 songs in the past (8 if you count Milstreet), but overall there are only 2 good ones. This and 2011. Compared to Slovenia who has sent greats songs since 2011..... sorry :/
The Slovak entry in 2011 was RUBBISH! Just some average pop song in English, which was really lame. The best were 1998 (Modlitba), the one from 2009 (Nela and Kamil) and Horehronie.

@@MmeKastaffiore well lemme tell u about the story of Slovakia in Eurovision:
As soon as this country became independent from Czechslovakia, in the same year of 1993, Slovakia attempted to make their first apperance in ESC, but failed.
Slovakia however, made it to Eurovision final for the first time in 1994, marking their first appearance in Eurovision. However they were in the bottom 7 in the contest that year and not eligible to participate the following year
2 years later, in 1996 Slovakia successfully made it the final for the second time. This year also marked Slovakia's best result in the contest til this day. However, they were in the bottom 7 once again and was relegated the next year
ESC 1998 marked Slovakia's last appearance in the contest for a very lobg time. This year also the last time Slovakia performed in the grand final
Slovakia did not comeback to Eurovision for 11 years (1999-2008)
However, Slovakia finally decided to make a returning in 2009. Their comeback was very unsuccesful when they finished second last in the 2nd semifinal with 18th out of 19 countries
They however sent a talented singer to the contest in 2010 with a BIG hope that she's gonna make Slovakia back to final again. But no. Everything was a downfall to them. Not only they failed to make it but they, once again, like 2009, second last place with 16th out of 17 countries
In 2011, Slovakia first ever song performed in English cuz they might know that bc of their old school music style was outdated so they thougt they should change their type of music than still have a slight hope of qualified to he final. But not again, they still didn't make it to the final the 3rd time in a row. However, since their returning in 2009, 2011 is still by now Slovakia best result in the contest so far
2012 was the last time we see them in the contest before they decided to leave the contest for the 2nd time. This time, they decided to change their music style completely. From ballad to rock. But still they not only didn't make it to the final 4 times in a row but this time Slovakia ended dead last place in the 2nd semifinal.
Since 2013 to now, Slovakia hasn't made a decision to comeback to ESC
Best Slovakian entry ♥️ I love this song, I still listening in 2022 ♥️ love this so much from Turkeyyy 🇹🇷💫
One of the best Eurovision entries ever
Slovakia! ❤ We miss you so much! ❤ Come back to the Eurovision! ❤ And remember it is one of my favourite Eurovision songs! ❤ Greetings from Poland! ❤ We love you Slovakia! ❤
Ahead of its time. Genius, one of my all-time favourites.
I just found this a few days ago and wow this is amazing, can't believe this didn't qual! She looks like a nymph. I can understand that Slovakia still doesn't want to come back to Eurovision after having been robbed like that.
This is the most underrated Song ever!
trop triste qu'ils ne se soient pas qualifié pour la final!
tout y est : le visuel , la voix, le rythme .
c'est frais !
bref , quel gâchis.
moi j'aime toujours autant
This is real winner. 12 points from Poland !!!
These comments make me so happy that people still listen to this song :)). Its kinda sad that a lot of people dont know about our country and also other slavic countries. I remember when i was really young i was OBSESSED with this song and other songs by her. Sending love to all of you from Slovakia
Amazing song !!! Should have qualified !
Amazing song.

I'm still watching this amazing performance, i love Kristína and her song it's beautiful, she deserved to be in the final and to 5 for sure. 😍😍😍
