he’s not playing the violin lol all backing music in eurovision has to be pre recorded. everyone that plays instruments on the stage is just pretending. the bow string just broke and he just had to keep pretend playing.

@@redundantopinion705 The singing is not pre-recorded, but all instrumental music is. I'm sure he can actually play the song really well, however the violin that you are hearing is mostly, if not entirely, coming from the recording. He does play the violin here, but he is dancing around a lot with it, the violin is likely not miced up, and if it were it would likely not sound nearly as good as a recording. For all I know the violin that he is performing with could be muted, as to not disturb the recorded music in the intermissions between singing, or perhaps his microphone is turned down heavily when he is playing and not singing.
@@sylphercat6099 sadly true. Live instruments aren’t allowed but at least he is good at making it seem like he is actually playing. The vocals are definitely live tho! In Eurovision, only instruments are fake and they aren’t actually playing them

I disagree, there are many better songs historically from the Eurovision. You may think it's the best, but that doesn't mean the majority of people agree with you.

the fact that he wrote lyrics and the music himself, and now is one of the most popular songs of the 21 century, that is wild in a good way, i’ve been a fan since 2020, and i still love and find this song song to be amazing💙✨
He's in love with a fairytale meaning he's in love with the idea of his relationship with her. They had a terrible relationship, clearly from the song, but he's romanticizing it because he misses her. The "fairytale" aspect is a version of their relationship that only consists of the happy parts, a sugar-coded, rose-tinted version of them, and he's in love with the idea of it.

The most impressive is that Alexander also composed, and wrote the lyrics of the song. Then he sings, and plays the violin. Not many other ESC winners did the same.
Surprised that he wrote the lyrics-- I assumed he was singing phonetically and didn't actually speak English. The song is good, but I'd like to hear it by someone else. He's not the best singer.
Thats what i was thinking. I just randomly stumbled on this video. Im an American, and i was saying his vocals alone are no where near the best (though not bad at all as well), but his entire performance is very well done. He has a nice level of charisma and a wonderful star quality. He performs the violin magnificently as well. I can definitely see the appeal in him. Is he quite famous?

@@emilycobb9875 yeah, its a singer thing to have to sing while a little under the weather, but its an amazing thing to see when someone can actually pull it off. also with english not being his first language is p good for his pronunciation (i.e, vowels, consonants, longevity, etc) but its not uncommon to see "foreign" singers sing well in english

If you look at the violin bow the strings start snapping as he has to play so loudly. Mad respect
he’s not playing the violin lol all backing music in eurovision has to be pre recorded. everyone that plays instruments on the stage is just pretending. the bow string just broke and he just had to keep pretend playing.

I'm sure he can actually play the song really well, however the violin that you are hearing is mostly, if not entirely, coming from the recording. He does play the violin here, but he is dancing around a lot with it, the violin is likely not miced up, and if it were it would likely not sound nearly as good as a recording. For all I know the violin that he is performing with could be muted, as to not disturb the recorded music in the intermissions between singing, or perhaps his microphone is turned down heavily when he is playing and not singing.

They had a terrible relationship, clearly from the song, but he's romanticizing it because he misses her. @@emilycobb9875 yeah, its a singer thing to have to sing while a little under the weather, but its an amazing thing to see when someone can actually pull it off. also with english not being his first language is p good for his pronunciation (i.e, vowels, consonants, longevity, etc) but its not uncommon to see "foreign" singers sing well in english
