Really good content. Very much appreciate you Craig taking the time to make all of these videos about Cape Coral, Fort Myers, Estero, Bonita Sprints...etc. Very informative.
As someone just starting to scout the SWFL area - your videos are very helpful. This one as example was great at giving a taste of what Cape Coral has to offer good and bad. Nice job
Awesome video/ content. I’ve stayed twice in the Cape and while we’ve visited several of the places you highlighted there are many more to visit. Thanks as always Craig.
My Dad had his home built in Cape Coral -1979. We had the benefit of knowing the builder Mr. Rosen and his family and he did a special upgrade on our house as he built his next door. Cape Coral was wonderful at time and for many years it was pleasant and enjoyable. My family lives in Nevada, and would spend several months each year in Florida and know it well. Sad to say, in the late 80's it changed, and never regained the charm it once had. My wife and I took possession of the property 3 years ago and I kept the house up to November 2023. The taxes, insurance rates, Nor-Eastern's, substandard law enforcement, including (Drunk and HIGH driving all over the place), the rip-off culture associate with most contractors & services, water supply & pollution, etc. has made this once wonderful paradise, just a place for day- to - day survival. The WEATHER is Nature and if you like living in a Tropical environment you can't complain.
Great informative video. Looking forward to the Ft Myers version. Also would be great to see a video showing some of the beaches around the area and current conditions post Ian.
The Cape is a great place to winter. Was once a great place to own a second/vacation home. Do your homework before buying in Florida. The last 5 years Floridas cost of living increase is the highest in the US. Partially due to real estate costs but mainly due to the states mismanagement and greed. Cape Coral is in further trouble due to its crumbling infrastructure and aging canals. Pre Ian canal front owners were looking at an average of 250 to 300K to replace their failing seawalls on a quarter acre lot. I'm hearing 400 to 500K post Ian. The city has over 400 miles of these canals some going back to the late 50s. Tip of the iceburg, too many other issues to list here. DO YOUR RESEARCH PLEASE.
I prefer Hallandale Beach Florida beautiful city good beaches and restaurants and growing businesses and communities and a good nightlife respectfully.
Great video. Has a Canadian spending 18 winters in Cape Coral all I can say its a GREAT GREAT place to spend the winter. Has Canadians we are allow 6 months one day in USA. If I had my way I would love to spend 8 months CC and the summer months in the lakes of Canada. That was a excellent presentation of CC. again Thanks
If wanting to eat in Cape Coral iguana, Mia is a great place to go for Mexican food. Italian food there’s a restaurant called the meatball that is really that is really good.
That place is amazing, we stopped in while visiting the area a few weeks ago and were super impressed by the whole store. Kind of like a combo of Whole Foods and Trader Joes with reasonable prices. Meats, cheeses, breads, fruits, veggies and even a little ice cream shop too.

Farmer Joe's has great 99 cents/pound produce on sale weekly.
I'll be visiting this year
How about a video about the hot rod/ classic car scene?
Excited about development!
Where was that Gym located on the map thanks again Craig!
Pine Island Rd - West side
Estero east of I75 is where you want to be. Cape Coral does not have a selection of retail, restaurants, or entertainment. No beaches in CC either.
Estero great for shopping, but more expensive homes and takes forever to get on the beach. Cape is surrounded by water.... get a boat and go anywhere!
I have been dying to go to Coopers Hawk..when did they come to Fort Meyers !
Roughly April of 2023
Coopers Hawk is awesome ❤!
Is there a Home owners insurance crisis developing in Florida? I keep seeing videos stating that. Thanks
I just has another client get her insurance yesterday, so I can't confirm that at all.
@livinginfortmyersflorida have you seen home owners insurance skyrocketing since the Hurricane? That seems to be the claim being made.
@@damiandemarsico8469 I can only speak form my experience and there has literally been no change, even with a claim for damage.
Get to Jaycee Park before the city DESTROYS IT! Waste of money Cape Coral to "renovate" this park. Goodbye whispering pines and quietness.
Not approved just yet...
Farmer Joes has an awesome bakery !
That place is amazing, we stopped in while visiting the area a few weeks ago and were super impressed by the whole store. Kind of like a combo of Whole Foods and Trader Joes with reasonable prices. Meats, cheeses, breads, fruits, veggies and even a little ice cream shop too.
Stuttering John Melendez of The Howard Stern Show lives there, currently...
Farmer Joes is awesome ❤

Just some advice, leave us locals alone.
Isn’t Cape Coral the toilet of the south west Florida ?
Seriously? Who are you and who are your friends? Hahaha
