I’m quite convinced they pump meats full of water these days to increase the weight and charge more for the meats, even though they swear it’s to make it more moist. Chicken is the worst of the lot here in Australia, the amount of water is horrendous, you can’t fry your chicken, it just boils. Your chicken pot pie looks delicious. Definitely putting that on the list! 🤤
The chicken i get from my local supermarket isn't to bad although there is some added water, but the 'continental' Halal butchers near me are terrible. The breasts are huge, abnormally so and impossible to roast or pan fry. OK'ish for curry but anything else, no chance.

Over here in Japan, I recently found a supermaket that sells celery. Absolute Godsend. Carrots, poatoes, celery, meat and stock. Best comfort food every time, my kids love it. Great ideas Rik, Thanks.

I love chicken pot pie. I normally make single serves in ramekins, with pastry on top. I absolutely LOVE the idea of cheesy mash on top! I also love the idea of making a large serve like that in a casserole dish. There's Thursday nights tea taken care of for me! Another cracking video Rik, thanks so much!

Dear Chef, Another variation of this dish would be to add Worchestershire sauce to the chicken, mustard, and vegetables, and then to use cornbread for the top versus potatoes. It's soooo good!!! Please try!

From a certain age and a certain waist circumference, the chicken no longer makes any difference in terms of calories. You are happy if you can still eat and drink everything and add something in case of illness. Nice dish! 👍

They inject 18% of water in chickens. They are selling water. It’s a scam.
