my Grandpa struggled for many years from Parkinson’s. I did not realize that it would trigger some memories. I am taking on some research I suppose in the matter Thanks for the video and professional Demonstration.
The term is “festinating” when referring to the progressively accelerating gait in Parkinson’s, not “fenestrating” which is a reference to window placement in a building!
Hi Belal, great video! I am a nursing student and for a class assignment we have to create a website about neuromuscular disorders and I wanted to know if it was okay if I used your video for my particular Parkinson page. Let me know, thanks!
I think having this guy demonstrate would be better than having someone with the disease. If I had Parkinson's, I wouldn't want to be asked to walk for a video in order to showcase my difficulty. Plus, it's not like he is making fun of people with this disease: it's an educational video.
My pops started festinating badly this last two years, they told him he has PD but I had to break it to him that the thing he has isn't the avian from of PD. It turns out that he might have MSA.
good for you. however, this is an educational video. good for foreign med school student whose school do not have the resource to train them as well as doctors in the west. take your moral battle else where please. there are many urgent issues that you can care about.
To all you guys debating. I think for the purposes of board exams and education. This video serves the purpose. Didn't make a difference atleast to me, whether or not the demonstrator actually has Parkinsons. So lets all listen, watch and learn! :) Good luck to all
I've watched a couple of these. This dude is really good at demonstrating different gait abnormalities
I've tried to explain this to my older siblings --- this is a perfect example of how my father walks.....breaks my heart.
We all try to explain this to our father, but that stubborn old goat does not give a shit. (litteraly, constipated)
Well ,what can u do, life is life.
Dad brushed off all responsibility.. yet he is designated primary care giver. He said, "She's your mother.. she's just a piece of paper to me."
My dad had Parkinson's and this is just what he walked like the last 9 or 10 years. Makes me so sad to even watch it is so close to the real thing.
shit this guys going for the oscar, good presentation.
I love this guy. How nice of him to do this for people trying to learn.
Thank you so much for that. It was extremely helpful.
EXCELLENT DEMONSTRATION. YOU ARE RIGHT ON POINT.
WoW Ive seen this "walk" and didnt know what it was. Thanks so much !! Very Helpful. You did a great job too

narrow based, hypokinetic shuffling gait with stooped posture

Do people in early stages wobble on their torso so when you look at them it looks like their hips won’t go then they will do a few quick steps

festinating gait* not fenestrating
hey kiran
Oh hey
+Kiran Mysore Fenestrating..I thought that was something to do with windows or apertures!
great demonstration, thank you :-)
just amaing demonstration thanks a lot
He's good.
wow you are awesome sir
Much respect!
it's fenestrating gait, meaning shuffling. festinating is a broader term to described flexion of hip and knees. Not particularly for Parkinsonism.
I know it's late but doesn't festinate mean 'to hurry'. So isn't it supposed to be festinating gait instead of fenestrating gait?
Man looking up all of these neuro problems is sad, but I gotta know if I'm gonna help people.
Light bulb moment! Thanks!
Too good..thanks for uploading
that was really helpful.

Not at all. My parents are both over 80 and they walk like 50 year olds.

Fenestrating gait- that's what burglars do when getting into your house through a window.
