He’s just pissed off that his wife died and he expected his wife to be the one to take care of the kid now he hast to do it by himself. I think his wife dying taught him a lesson that you can’t expect other people to take care of your problems.
At first I thought the father was being a jerk but I agree with what some people in the comments section have said that Ollie should have just hired a babysitter to take care of his daughter while he works or stop working everyday at 5:00pm.
