Hey Everyone Im doing a Q&A to celebrate hitting 3K subs, so if theres anything you want to ask me reply to the community post: th-cam.com/users/postUgxyhwXCqwd-bDLiu8t4AaABCQ Or Reply to this comment, Thanks!
Off beat reminded me of Cuphead. The music, setting and enemy design really fits, a very welcome addition. Still hoping this game gets to PC one day...
A quick correction I want to make: while talking about off beat I mention it a "day of the dead" esque setting, where as this is actually not the case, the theming is inspired by the festival Mardi Gras and it has some really intriguing history behind it that toys for bob have really done well to pay tribute to
I 100% agree with your top two picks. I got sucked into the challenge of Cortex Castle so much, because as hard as those sections with the masks towards the end were, the challenge itself was completely fair and doable, and it was a ton of fun to try get right despite the 100+ deaths it took me to do so lol. And Off Beat... what a level. It gave me a feeling like no other level in the game came even close to giving me. It's so endearing and captivating and unique even for a Crash game. Brilliant level, might even be my favorite Crash level of all time. Bless your soul getting all those perfect relics too man, good lord I can't imagine how hard it's gonna be for me to try and grab all those. Great video as usual!
I think cortex castle beats off beat to the #1 spot. I love the detail of the background and theme along with how all of the masks are utilized to perfection! And I think how you described the last bit as the “final gauntlet” if your fingers aren’t hovering over the buttons constantly then you stand no chance. It is truly an epic experience and very fitting difficulty as the last level in the entire game that is awesome hype for the final boss. The past unmasked was unfortunately quite easy for me. Especially compared to 4th times a charm and a hole in space. But a true finale to crash bandicoot 4! Edit: I forgot to mention the music, and I’m actually shocked you didn’t. It is my second favourite to a hole in space
I just reached the 106% completion yesterday, and I totally agree: Off Beat is the best level. Personally, I don’t like very much the Tranquility Falls levels because it feels that it takes too long to finish that dimension for me, but all the other levels in this list are great as well.
Hey Everyone, hope you all enjoy my top 10 favourite crash 4 levels! just to let you all know the next video will be my review of crash 4, how long its gonna take im not exactly sure, but im gonna be working hard to get it done asap!
Cortex Castle/Seeing Double was a bitch of a level. Died like 20 times before making it til the end. Ended up getting three Wumpa gems and that was it🤣
I’d also include Building Bridges in that as well. Tawna’s my favorite character to play, but lordy, that level just isn’t fun due to how crazy small the timing is for the electric floor/walls. That and you have to repeat the Polar section AGAIN, and while the crate placement is less asinine than in Bears Repeating it’s still not fun in the slightest when going for all of them.
I’d also include literally every cortex level, seriously unlike AU Tawna and Dingodile, who have the basic move set of crash and coco with an extra ability or two to spice up the gameplay, cortex has no double jump, spin attack, or body slam, the stupid puzzles you have to solve with him are literally the most unfun thing in the game, and his dash attack gives you no control, although I can forgive cortex for being shit to play cus lex Lang is perfect, as always.
I agree about Give It A Spin - it’s such a luscious and beautiful level! Tranquility Falls was one of my favorite dimensions along with The SN@XX Dimension.
Stay Frosty is one of my favorites, it has easily the best music in the game As for the worst levels, i would include Bears Repeating/Building Bridges and Rush Hour
Great video. I think you should know that Off Beat is not a "Day of the Dead-esque parade," but is a New Orleans Mardi Gras parade, which might be something you have to look up as I guess it is not super well-known outside of the US. The skeletons are references to voodoo, which is tied to the history in that city. And New Orleans is of course well known for jazz.
I agree with the #1 spot. While there are other levels I like, none of them feel as unique, colorful, or downright fun as Off Beat, which is easily the most memorable level in Crash 4, hands down.
I agree with this list, especially number 1! Toys for Bob literally killed it when they made this game. I hope they make more games, because I'm already looking forward to whatever they have next!
Oh yeah, ZEECRAZYGEE!! Off Beat is my number 1 favorite Crash 4 level, too! There’s so much going on in this level - the modern New Orleans-like setting, the musical parade packed with cameos like Spyro, Pura, and Fake Crash, and the vibrant luscious colors to really create an exciting set piece! The music that accompanies it is fantastic!! I love this level so much!! This level reminded me of both Disney/Pixar’s Coco (with its Day of the Dead inspirations and the grindrail section with the ghost trio playing an upbeat tune as you traverse the final section, and where an exciting band awaits you at the end), and Disney’s The Princess and the Frog (with its upbeat music and modern New Orleans setting). With it being set in Mosquito Marsh, A Few Days Ago, they really went all out in the creative aesthetics of these levels, and they are a marvel to behold! From the music notes engraved in the ground and on the wooden posts at the beginning of the level, to the enemies and obstacles going to the beat of the music, it’s all around phenomenal!! I agree with your list completely! Most of these levels are tough - no arguing that, but they’re all unique in their own way. This game provided an exciting challenge for me in a way that the original trilogy did, and I commend Activision and Toys For Bob for keeping the spirit of Crash Bandicoot and Coco Bandicoot alive! Side note: Watching the lights in the buildings turning on and off to the beat of the music was an awesome touch, too!

@@p3rsevere You saw the words "here's the list" and then clicked "read more" , but you didn't want to see the list? That's entirely your fault, isn't it?
Out For Launch is lowkey my favorite level. Was fun to play through and is one of the few regular (not including inverted) levels where I got all 6 gems with little trouble and without a guide! Also all 3 of the dinosaur themed levels are definitely up there as some of my other favorites
I get what they were doing with this game; they tried (and succeeded) at making it shockingly difficult. It got people talking and satisfied hardcore platformers. I beat this game in less than a week, so I'm not going to say it's impossible or anything. But, if I'm going to be honest, I will say that they really dropped the ball with this game. Playing Off Beat showed me the potential this game had to be FUN and CHALLENGING at the same time. If they make another Crash, I'm begging them to take a lesson from Off Beat. Make more levels like that, and sprinkle in the crazy hard levels. It's not like Off Beat is easy, it's just not break-my-controller hard. I still say Crash 2 is the best overall, but this is my second favorite.
I'm fully prepared to do the perfect relics but I'm not going for time trials. It was a huge mistake to not give a run button at the end and I don't feel like tapping square for over 5 minutes to male Crash faster.
Home Cooking is one of my favourite levels because it does an excellent work teaching you the Dingodile gameplay, has very funny cutscenes, awesome atmosphere with that mafia thing running in the bayou. I think the mafia bats that destroy Dingo Diner are a gang that is a rival to Dingodile, and their boss has a coctail shop. It is referenced in the cutscene at the beginning of the level, and you can see posters of the bat throughout Mosquito Marsh. Odd that he doesn't physically appear though. He could be a cool boss for this world.
Was kinda sad to not see Dino Dash on here or Hit the Road any higher, but I definitely agree with you on Cortex Tower and Off Beat being the best of the bunch.
My favourite is probably Dino dash. Great setting, I love the chase sequences, it was a demo level and just a really memorable and fun one. Also I love cortex castle, and I think although this is EXTREMELY difficult, I don’t think it was as tedious as some of the others
Off Beat is definitely my favorite. Not the most challenging but just the most fun. And doing time trials on it has been a blast too. Once you hit the perfect run and you’re gliding home on that rail grind section it just feels too good. Tranquility Falls overall is my other favorite island but in terms of individual levels I like N.Sanity Peak (the chase scene is just too well animated), Crash Landing, Snow Way Out, and Booty Calls. At least so far. I still have to finish the Snaxx Dimension and Cortex’s lab levels
My Top ten would be (in no particular order) 1: Rude Awakening (it isn’t crash without jungle levels and the Jungle Rollers coming back made me happy) 2: Stay Frosty (loved the lab assistants making a comeback and the skiing Lab Assistant brought back WOC vibes) 3: Hit The Road (mannn that chase scene was one of those moments I went oh shit lmao) 4: Blast To The Past/Dino Dash (I’m a sucker for Dino levels haha) 5: Snow Way Out (I’ve always had a love hate relationship with snow levels but this one is by far the best in the series) 6: Booty Calls/Jet Board Jetty (man the pirates dimension was the one dimension I was shocked about how much i liked it) 7: Off Beat (that level was definitely the most unique and I kinda wish it would’ve been its own dimension because I wanted more haha) 8: Stowing Away (I loved the oxide community and the little UFOs flying around that you had to avoid haha) 9: Crash Landed (That Level was difficult for me and I have no idea why but it was unique as hell haha) 10: Cortex Castle (this level gives me PTSD and I love it haha it’s the last level and I’m glad it’s hard as hell The only dimension I couldn’t stand was the sn@xx dimension. That dimension just felt difficult for absolutely no reason what so ever and the only level I can’t sorta liked was the Tawna/Dingodile section
My list; 1) Off Beat(I've played this stage more times then any stage of the game for the dev relics and every time I have, it's gotten up there as my favourite one in the whole game, only complaint I have are the moving faces, like I don't even know what they are or how they relate to Mardi Gras but that's about it!) 2) Cortex Castle/Seeing Double(fantastic example of a final stage, both starting sections are pretty good for Crash/Coco and Cortex, Cortex more so personally, in fact I might personally rank Seeing Double Higher for how fun it is to dash through lasers as Cortex and platform on enemies turned to blocks) 3) Home Cooking(Really fun stage to go through, especially if it involves playing as Dingodile who I absolutely enjoy playing as, I did miss a bunch of crates in this stage which were all hidden behind a fence which I actually might forgive just because when looking at the fence again, it does look strikingly different from the rest of the fences) 4) Stay Frosty(a really fantastic homage to Snow Go from the 2nd game) 5) Blast To The Past(nice visuals and not a stage that overstays it's welcome) 6) Booty Calls/Thar He Blows(Nice sense of progression for Booty Calls from the shipwrecked beech to the village to the vault, and a nice and brief Dingodile section, although that bonus stage is worse then in Booty Calls) 7) Fossil Fueled(Really nice tutorial on Cortex's Gameplay but could've had a better setting to set him up in) 8) Crash Landed(pretty tough due to the Shnurgle and ice physics but really fun platforming sections in between) 9) Draggin' On(really tough but fun platforming with Akano, and a much more ramped up version of the blue gem from Crash 2) 10) Crash Compactor(not really into post apocalyptic settings in general but this stage does a nice job merging that with traditional Crash Gameplay) There were other contenders that would've made the list as well so I figured I'd give them an honourable mention as well; Give It A Spin/Potion Commotion A Real Grind Rude Awakening Stowing Away Out For Launch/Shipping Error
In my opinion, Crash Landed is the best level. It has the best aesthetic in the game, great music, challenging and unique platforming, tough to find boxes and hidden gem, variety in level design with the riding, 2d and 3d sections, a hidden gem path for extra content, a challenging bonus stage (which is rare in crash 4) and is a long level (which I personally prefer). I really wish they made more than just one level on planet bermugular.
Good picks, although the last section of Cortex Castle almost made me rage quit... My favourite Crash/Coco level: Nitro Processing My favourite Tawna level: Hook, Line and Sinker My favourite Dingodile level: Rush Hour (no, seriously) My favourite Neo Cortex level: Fossil Fueled My favourite boss: The Past Unmasked
I just beat the game last night with green/red/blue gems missing (don't tell me where they are lol) Not having played these 3 color gem routes yet, here's my top 10: (10) A Real Grind - Not a very popular one I guess? It's short and neat, placed it on the list for playing too many times but still eager to find out 153th box I've missed lol. Also, this level is good candidate for gaining wumpa and lives once you lose in retro mode (9) Out For Launch - I don't get why people seem to hate it a lot (because of Ika-Ika? But it's used in number of levels afterwards...), it's got one of the best designed bonus levels, the 2D area after bonus which you flip gravity to get through the foes is intense too (8) Draggin' On - Not so many's favorite I bet, but I just don't feel bored replaying this level. A night level in the setting of Tranquility Falls makes it even cooler (but I dont particularly love Off-Balance lol). The fact that you use Akano most to climb up the mountain is splendid (7) Bears Repeating - I know it's super notorious to runners aiming for perfect relic and even box gem alone is tough enough (the latter took me 80+ lives, simply won't try the former), but you must admit the road-to-nowhere vibe of skull route in 1st half (plus music) and polar section (ignoring controlability :p) in 2nd half make it out to be one of the most action-packed in entire game (6) Snow Way Out - A soothing level to play with one of the best soundtracks, recalled how I struggled before I first got hands with completing the level in the demo, now I can do perfect run with ease :o) Everything about this level is decent, it will go down as one of best snow levels in the series (5) Home Cookin' - A signature level for Dingo which well introduces him to players. Though not being too fanatic at the other timeline levels of Dingo, this easily goes on top on my list on how Dingo matches with the bayou and the food truck setting (plus the concept of cooking pot is cool) and recalled how impressed when I first controlled Dingo (4) Hook, Line, And Sinker - Another neat level for introducing Tanwa. Like Home Cookin', the setting suits Tanwa in a perfect way. A refreshing level which you will easily gain satisfaction in almost every segment. The level design on the pirate ship is very amazing (3) Booty Calls - This level has that charisma which makes me play over again and again. The setting of pirates is awesome (like Hook, Line, And Sinker). The railing section is one of the best compared to other levels in the game. You can not easily forget the soundtrack too :o) It's undoubtedly wise choice they show this level in the trailer few months before release (2) Cortex Castle - I'm sure I do not need a detailed complement (and curse :p) of this level since most others have already done here :o) Nothing regarding this level is underwhelming (level design, difficulty, bonus level, soundtrack, how you push your instinct to extreme and apply your skills of the four quantum masks in the end). Unarguably the best final level in the series. This level is very well done though I definitely won't do the perfect relic :o( (1) Off beat - No need to explain that much, this level simply makes you smile, period. The railing part with the ghosts playing orchestra, the cubical platforms which rage when you step on them, the cannon which fires Crash, the piano keys and background music. It cheers you up everytime you play it though.
10. Give it a Spin this level is visually stunning and is a great first level for Akano. 9. Blast to the past. This level is just extremely solid and the rail sections are awesome as the music matches it perfectly. 8. The crate Escape. My favourite side character level in the game. The music is epic in this level and I love the end section. 7. Off-Balance. Great final level of the dimension, felt like it took everything you learnt from the first 2 and then built an even better level. 6. Food run. Perfect atmosphere for a level after beating the big threat in the game. Also the first level to use all the masks 5. Off beat. This level feels like a celebration of crash, a bit like in mario odyssey in new donk city. 4. Dino Dash. Best chase level in crash history, sorry unbearable. 3. Cortex Castle. Outstanding final level definitely the best in the series. 2. Out for launch. The cutscene is awesome and the levels music is a banger. And this level really makes me feel we are in space. 1. Crash Landed. This level blow my mind the most gorgeous and creative level I have ever seen in a crash game. Side notes Rush hour is 1 off the worst crash levels ever made. While I do like the first level I still think Turtle Woods is a better level.
My favorite level in Crash 4 is Home Cookin, cuz you get to play as another Crash character other than Crash or Coco for the whole level and it’s Dingodile, and he has some great gameplay, one of my favorite characters in all of Crash in my opinion.
Cortex Castle is definitely my favorite level since it tests your skill at using the masks in quick succession, and it feels great perfecting it. My only real trouble was trying to perfect Bears Repeating. I at least managed to get better at 100 percenting the other levels, but Bears Repeating will always be a pain in the ass to perfect, it is one of my favorite levels if you’re just playing it casually, but for 106%? F*** it!
Snow Way out Jetboard Jetty Cortex Castle Nitro Processing Off beat Rude awakening Booty Calls and hook,Line as well Are among my favorite I absolutely love them And oh while at it I managed to get the 106% ending after 141 hours I actually enjoyed most of the levels
I would love to hear your least favorite levels in this game, ZEECRAZYGEE! Even though I died countless times in this game on some levels, each are unique in their own way despite the difficulty they provide. I enjoyed this Top 10 list of yours. Thank you for putting Off Beat at Number 1! I hope another Crash Bandicoot and Spyro game come out down the road. This game was loads of fun! 🤩🤩 P.S. Thank you for the tip on that final section of Run It Bayou - I struggle with that section all the time, but I’ll get better at it. Also, Fake Crash makes a cameo near the end of the level!
By the way, ZEECRAZYGEE, what are your favorite dimensions and favorite music by Walter Mair in this game? It has an awesome soundtrack! I’m up for hearing your thoughts
Firstly I'd like to say that this is a phenomenal list of stages and for the most part I agree with all the placements But I urge you to correct yourself about the offbeat stage. It has nothing to do with the day of the dead. That stage is a gorgeous tribute to mardi gras in Louisiana. Mardi Gras is a very sacred and important practice to us creole folk. As a Creole myself I can confirm that the entire mosquito marsh dimension is a tribute to Mardi Gras and Louisiana as a whole, and has nothing to do with day of the dead. Skull imagery isn't exclusive to day of the dead and it's a very important part of our celebration. I recommend you do some research on the northside skull and bone gang to understand just how integral the imagery of the dead is to our celebration. But despite that Much love to you Zee, you continue to make the undisputed best crash content on youtube. Please keep it up.🖤
My apologies, my mind kinda went immediately to that due to the skull imagery, but hearing that, thats actually really interesting, id always heard of Mardi Gras but after reading this comment Iv only just started to look into it, In the UK we have shrove Tuesday but I never knew until looking it up that they were one and the same. Just found out the symbolism of the skull and bones meaning carnival and how its done as an honour to ancestral heritage, thats absolutely fascinating and looking back at Crash 4 you are completely right how they've have used mosquito marsh as a tribute to Louisiana. again my apologues for not realising this at first but also thanks for giving me insight into this, its genuinely really fascinating! Hope you have a lovely day :)
@@ZEECRAZYGEE no problem at all. Even other Americans are still extremely ignorant on cajun/creole traditions such as mardi gras so It's hard to expect someone from the UK to be well read on Louisiana tradition lol But despite that, I Thank you for hearing me out. I appreciate you being mature enough to rectify your mistake. Apparently this is a rarity these days lol
It looks like a spooky level with with creepy dead people. At not one point did I associate it with mardi gras. It wasn't obvious at all to me lol. But hey if you think that's what it's about sure :D I loved it either way
1. Cortex Castle 2. Off-Beat 3. Crash Landed 4. Off-Balance 5. Snow Way Out 6. Draggin’ On 7. Home Cookin’ 8. Give it A Spin 9. Dino Dash 10. Jet-Board Jetty
Here are my top 10 levels: 1. Booty Calls 2. Jetboard Jetty 3. Food Run 4. Rush Hour 5. Out For Launch 6. Blast To The Past 7. Rude Awakening 8. Run It Bayou 9. A Real Grind 10. Crash Compactor
I agree with crash landed even with animal contor he he is more well dising and cutter I only had one box promblem with animal it the one at begging where you jump for the ramp it usually misses .also my favorite demesion is bermugula orbit
Yeah there was a glitch going around. Thankfully it didn't happend to me, and I feel bad for everyone wich lost his save file. But with an early update it was patched (I think its 1.02 but I dunno)
I'm surprised Food Run isn't here just for the setting alone But I bet some of the futuristic city levels are gonna be in the least favorite levels video
Because fuck the crate escape level. Lmao. It literally was the only stage in the game where my death counter got into the 90s (it was like 98). Only like 5 or 6 of which was from playing as Cortex. The crash section essentially completely changed up how the gameplay works out of nowhere with no warning in a way that just doesn't work and felt like a cheap way to kill me

Off Beat is the moment on the game when I went like "wow", the most surprising part of the game for me.
Me too - reminded me of so many old levels, like Band Land from Rayman, and movies like Coco, and The Princess and The Frog
@@ajmohawk2993 Absolutely! That level has New Orleans vibe and I love it😄

It's more so the case when you do the level N. Verted.
So I don't blame you!

I like how when referring to the possibility of doing a list of the worst levels, the screen immediately cuts to Rush Hour.

Out For Launch is lowkey my favorite level. Was fun to play through and is one of the few regular (not including inverted) levels where I got all 6 gems with little trouble and without a guide! Also all 3 of the dinosaur themed levels are definitely up there as some of my other favorites
"Crash landed" level design reminds me a lot of Rick and Morty
Stowing away is my favorite, it's nice to see it in the list
the final level of neon city love the end
Like how you used the Toy Story 2 race music in the honourable mentions.
Me too - I noticed it. Nice touch
A dimensions ranking would be cool now
I get what they were doing with this game; they tried (and succeeded) at making it shockingly difficult.
Totally want to see the other side of the spectrum there haha
Although i'd be shocked if Rush hour was absent from that second list.
Stay frosty for me period.
I got news for you, platinum time trials are way harder then N Sane relic on slow pace
Great list video pal
Was kinda sad to not see Dino Dash on here or Hit the Road any higher, but I definitely agree with you on Cortex Tower and Off Beat being the best of the bunch.
Solid list. Would put Cortex castle at the top personally because it is a bastard masterpiece. Would love to see a top 10 worst list tho
I would Totally like to see your least favorite levels :)
I’m new here and I’m super excited to go back watch all of your old crash videos lol
My Top ten would be (in no particular order)
1: Rude Awakening (it isn’t crash without jungle levels and the Jungle Rollers coming back made me happy)
2: Stay Frosty (loved the lab assistants making a comeback and the skiing Lab Assistant brought back WOC vibes)
3: Hit The Road (mannn that chase scene was one of those moments I went oh shit lmao)
4: Blast To The Past/Dino Dash (I’m a sucker for Dino levels haha)
5: Snow Way Out (I’ve always had a love hate relationship with snow levels but this one is by far the best in the series)
6: Booty Calls/Jet Board Jetty (man the pirates dimension was the one dimension I was shocked about how much i liked it)
7: Off Beat (that level was definitely the most unique and I kinda wish it would’ve been its own dimension because I wanted more haha)
8: Stowing Away (I loved the oxide community and the little UFOs flying around that you had to avoid haha)
9: Crash Landed (That Level was difficult for me and I have no idea why but it was unique as hell haha)
10: Cortex Castle (this level gives me PTSD and I love it haha it’s the last level and I’m glad it’s hard as hell
The only dimension I couldn’t stand was the sn@xx dimension. That dimension just felt difficult for absolutely no reason what so ever and the only level I can’t sorta liked was the Tawna/Dingodile section
Let’s face it, everyone loves off beat
My list;
1) Off Beat(I've played this stage more times then any stage of the game for the dev relics and every time I have, it's gotten up there as my favourite one in the whole game, only complaint I have are the moving faces, like I don't even know what they are or how they relate to Mardi Gras but that's about it!)
2) Cortex Castle/Seeing Double(fantastic example of a final stage, both starting sections are pretty good for Crash/Coco and Cortex, Cortex more so personally, in fact I might personally rank Seeing Double Higher for how fun it is to dash through lasers as Cortex and platform on enemies turned to blocks)
3) Home Cooking(Really fun stage to go through, especially if it involves playing as Dingodile who I absolutely enjoy playing as, I did miss a bunch of crates in this stage which were all hidden behind a fence which I actually might forgive just because when looking at the fence again, it does look strikingly different from the rest of the fences)
4) Stay Frosty(a really fantastic homage to Snow Go from the 2nd game)
5) Blast To The Past(nice visuals and not a stage that overstays it's welcome)
6) Booty Calls/Thar He Blows(Nice sense of progression for Booty Calls from the shipwrecked beech to the village to the vault, and a nice and brief Dingodile section, although that bonus stage is worse then in Booty Calls)
7) Fossil Fueled(Really nice tutorial on Cortex's Gameplay but could've had a better setting to set him up in)
8) Crash Landed(pretty tough due to the Shnurgle and ice physics but really fun platforming sections in between)
9) Draggin' On(really tough but fun platforming with Akano, and a much more ramped up version of the blue gem from Crash 2)
10) Crash Compactor(not really into post apocalyptic settings in general but this stage does a nice job merging that with traditional Crash Gameplay)
There were other contenders that would've made the list as well so I figured I'd give them an honourable mention as well;
Give It A Spin/Potion Commotion
A Real Grind
Rude Awakening
Stowing Away
Out For Launch/Shipping Error
In my opinion, Crash Landed is the best level. It has the best aesthetic in the game, great music, challenging and unique platforming, tough to find boxes and hidden gem, variety in level design with the riding, 2d and 3d sections, a hidden gem path for extra content, a challenging bonus stage (which is rare in crash 4) and is a long level (which I personally prefer). I really wish they made more than just one level on planet bermugular.
My favourite was the one on the alien planet with the “bear” riding section
Damn that was spectacular
I think Cortex Castle is my favorite level, not only is the level design insane, it reminds me a lot of Castlevania the the gothic motif
Honestly I feel like the dinosaur levels don’t get enough love
Dino dash is my favourite level, it’s just so fun and has the best chase
I hate the dinosaur levels, they are the worst ones for me
Good picks, although the last section of Cortex Castle almost made me rage quit...
My favourite Crash/Coco level: Nitro Processing
My favourite Tawna level: Hook, Line and Sinker
My favourite Dingodile level: Rush Hour (no, seriously)
My favourite Neo Cortex level: Fossil Fueled
My favourite boss: The Past Unmasked
Im of the few ones who thinks those final challenges given to tawna and dingodile are excellently designed
I love Cortex Castle, but my favourite level is Dino Dash. Two words: T-REX CHASE!
Well that’s technically 3
What annoyed me is bears repeating because I lost 65 lives did the polar seccsion and missed one crate
crash landed is easily in top 3 for mee
I just beat the game last night with green/red/blue gems missing (don't tell me where they are lol)
Not having played these 3 color gem routes yet, here's my top 10:
(10) A Real Grind - Not a very popular one I guess? It's short and neat, placed it on the list for playing too many times but still eager to find out 153th box I've missed lol. Also, this level is good candidate for gaining wumpa and lives once you lose in retro mode
(9) Out For Launch - I don't get why people seem to hate it a lot (because of Ika-Ika? But it's used in number of levels afterwards...), it's got one of the best designed bonus levels, the 2D area after bonus which you flip gravity to get through the foes is intense too
(8) Draggin' On - Not so many's favorite I bet, but I just don't feel bored replaying this level. A night level in the setting of Tranquility Falls makes it even cooler (but I dont particularly love Off-Balance lol). The fact that you use Akano most to climb up the mountain is splendid
(7) Bears Repeating - I know it's super notorious to runners aiming for perfect relic and even box gem alone is tough enough (the latter took me 80+ lives, simply won't try the former), but you must admit the road-to-nowhere vibe of skull route in 1st half (plus music) and polar section (ignoring controlability :p) in 2nd half make it out to be one of the most action-packed in entire game
(6) Snow Way Out - A soothing level to play with one of the best soundtracks, recalled how I struggled before I first got hands with completing the level in the demo, now I can do perfect run with ease :o) Everything about this level is decent, it will go down as one of best snow levels in the series
(5) Home Cookin' - A signature level for Dingo which well introduces him to players. Though not being too fanatic at the other timeline levels of Dingo, this easily goes on top on my list on how Dingo matches with the bayou and the food truck setting (plus the concept of cooking pot is cool) and recalled how impressed when I first controlled Dingo
(4) Hook, Line, And Sinker - Another neat level for introducing Tanwa. Like Home Cookin', the setting suits Tanwa in a perfect way. A refreshing level which you will easily gain satisfaction in almost every segment. The level design on the pirate ship is very amazing
(3) Booty Calls - This level has that charisma which makes me play over again and again. The setting of pirates is awesome (like Hook, Line, And Sinker). The railing section is one of the best compared to other levels in the game. You can not easily forget the soundtrack too :o) It's undoubtedly wise choice they show this level in the trailer few months before release
(2) Cortex Castle - I'm sure I do not need a detailed complement (and curse :p) of this level since most others have already done here :o) Nothing regarding this level is underwhelming (level design, difficulty, bonus level, soundtrack, how you push your instinct to extreme and apply your skills of the four quantum masks in the end). Unarguably the best final level in the series. This level is very well done though I definitely won't do the perfect relic :o(
(1) Off beat - No need to explain that much, this level simply makes you smile, period. The railing part with the ghosts playing orchestra, the cubical platforms which rage when you step on them, the cannon which fires Crash, the piano keys and background music. It cheers you up everytime you play it though.
Out for launch is great imo. Very fast paced too.
Off Beat, "The setting is fucking incredible!" Damm right 😀
I agree with you on Off Beat because Off Beat is my favourite level too! 😃😃😃
Also the first level to use all the masks
Side notes
Rush hour is 1 off the worst crash levels ever made.
While I do like the first level I still think Turtle Woods is a better level.
Nah the worst crash level is the minecart secret level in WOC where you dont have to touch the controller to win
@@Anex952 yep that is THE worst
i liked rush hour...mostly tawnas part
My number 1 level is easily off beat
10-Rude awakening
9-booty calls
8-hook line and sinker
7-give it a spin//potion commotion
6-off balance
5-stay frosty
4-off beat
3-the crate escape
2-crash landed
1-rush hour
Yes someone else likes Crash Landed (the level) although it is hard.
My favorite level in Crash 4 is Home Cookin, cuz you get to play as another Crash character other than Crash or Coco for the whole level and it’s Dingodile, and he has some great gameplay, one of my favorite characters in all of Crash in my opinion.
10: you
9: can’t
8: rank
7: them
6: cus
5: they’re
4: all
3: super
2: awesome
1: off beat
(Except for the cortex levels they suck)
@@traktor420 and also the polar levels and Rush Hour
I honestly like the polar contors
Imo Cortex Castle is really easy compared to Stormy Ascent
I haven't tried stormy ascent yet , but just going off of my knowledge of slippery climb , Cortex Castle seems a lot easier
Right
Off Beat made me feel what I felt during the Metro Kingdom Finale in Super Mario Odyssey.
F*** it!
My favourite level i crash compactor
Run it bayou is my most hated level
That really got on my nerves
I have been working on Nitro Processing and I am getting better at it!
A harder ranked than ranking the best levels is finding out what levels were actually bad in the game
If you die on the bonus then does that mean you can’t get the perfect relic or is it only death outside the bonus stage
Off beat reminds me of the first Savanha level in Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze, with the festival going on.
Snow Way out
Jetboard Jetty
Cortex Castle
Nitro Processing
Off beat
Rude awakening
Booty Calls and hook,Line as well
Are among my favorite I absolutely love them
And oh while at it I managed to get the 106% ending after 141 hours
I actually enjoyed most of the levels
I would love to hear your least favorite levels in this game, ZEECRAZYGEE! Even though I died countless times in this game on some levels, each are unique in their own way despite the difficulty they provide. I enjoyed this Top 10 list of yours. Thank you for putting Off Beat at Number 1! I hope another Crash Bandicoot and Spyro game come out down the road. This game was loads of fun! 🤩🤩
P.S. Thank you for the tip on that final section of Run It Bayou - I struggle with that section all the time, but I’ll get better at it. Also, Fake Crash makes a cameo near the end of the level!
Him: let me know about worst levels
Also he: rush hour video
Me: yes
By the way, ZEECRAZYGEE, what are your favorite dimensions and favorite music by Walter Mair in this game? It has an awesome soundtrack! I’m up for hearing your thoughts
If you think The N.Sanely Perfect Relics are hard. You’re gonna have a blast getting the platinum & Dev Time relics.
im going for platinum relics now............pain
On Cortex Castle I died 140 some times
Firstly I'd like to say that this is a phenomenal list of stages and for the most part I agree with all the placements
But I urge you to correct yourself about the offbeat stage.
But despite that
Much love to you Zee, you continue to make the undisputed best crash content on youtube.
Even other Americans are still extremely ignorant on cajun/creole traditions such as mardi gras so It's hard to expect someone from the UK to be well read on Louisiana tradition lol
But despite that, I Thank you for hearing me out. I appreciate you being mature enough to rectify your mistake. Apparently this is a rarity these days lol
It looks like a spooky level with with creepy dead people. At not one point did I associate it with mardi gras. It wasn't obvious at all to me lol. But hey if you think that's what it's about sure :D
I loved it either way
100% agree "off beat" is the best level!
1. Cortex Castle
2. Off-Beat
3. Crash Landed
4. Off-Balance
5. Snow Way Out
6. Draggin’ On
7. Home Cookin’
8. Give it A Spin
9. Dino Dash
10. Jet-Board Jetty
Finally someone who shares my viewpoint 😂
Here are my top 10 levels:
1. Booty Calls
2. Jetboard Jetty
3. Food Run
4. Rush Hour
5. Out For Launch
6. Blast To The Past
7. Rude Awakening
8. Run It Bayou
9. A Real Grind
10. Crash Compactor
Love off beat. I would love to see a future crash game return to it but in a more open world sense like some of twinsanitys hub levels
I agree with crash landed even with animal contor he he is more well dising and cutter I only had one box promblem with animal it the one at begging where you jump for the ramp it usually misses .also my favorite demesion is bermugula orbit
11:06 that ps1 toy story music tho
Agree on 1, GOAT level
My favourite levels are
(Can't remember the names)
The first tawna one on the pirate ships and the first crash level in bermugulas orbit
"Hook, line and Sinker" and "Out for Launch"
You are welcome
Yeah those thanks
I agree off beat is my favorite level in the game
Is it me or did your save file get deleted ( I have seen people lost their safe file on reddit)
Yeah there was a glitch going around. Thankfully it didn't happend to me, and I feel bad for everyone wich lost his save file. But with an early update it was patched (I think its 1.02 but I dunno)
I always thought Off Beat was based around Mardi Gras.
I need to see your top 10 least favourite and also top 10 hardest levels to perfect relic?
who can explain to me the booty calls thing
I don't get the joke
I'm surprised Food Run isn't here just for the setting alone
But I bet some of the futuristic city levels are gonna be in the least favorite levels video
Because fuck the crate escape level. Lmao. It literally was the only stage in the game where my death counter got into the 90s (it was like 98). Only like 5 or 6 of which was from playing as Cortex. The crash section essentially completely changed up how the gameplay works out of nowhere with no warning in a way that just doesn't work and felt like a cheap way to kill me
Off Beat. The best. No argument. No doubt. Just like Future Frenzy from CB3
Tranquility falls is my favorite dimension
Pls do the 10 worst levels to get the N sanly perfect relick on
my list:
10: jetboard jetty
9: ship happens
8: building bridges//bears repeating
7: rock blocked//Dino dash
6: shipping error
5: no Dillo dallying//run it bayou
4: rush hour
3: the crate escape
2: crash landed
1: toxic tunnels
