Big big big RESPECT to Nike and Jordan here in the Ph. So many people (myself included ._. ) can't even get any hype/ limited/ special edition sneakers because maraming nambabalya at namamakyaw for their own benefit. And it's honestly soo tiring. In the end, hindi parin namin napigilan ang mga gahaman (gahamans gonna make gahaman (ano daw?? Lol)) but, this is still progress and a step in the right direction.

Hi Sir Carlo, Im one of the 150 that won the Jordan 4 Manila and I was not asked naman to play basketball but was asked to wear the shoes until I exit the store. For me I hated the Idea of then letting us wear the shoes, honestly its our property na since we PAID for it, we purchased the sneaker, hindi naman sya free na para i dictate nila sa amin to wear it, second is for safety as you mentioned a lot of people were waiting outside to offer to buy the shoes, and I experienced it also, what if we were mugged diba like what happened sa states before that people were getting mugged and sneakers are stolen whenever may release si Jordan, some were even killed...para kami naglalakad ng naka expose yung 350k na pera (since thats the resell price of the shoe) not everyone that won are resellers, like what i said, we won the raffle fair and square and we paid for the Item, so its our property already... did jordan brand let those who purchased the Dior wear the sneakers sa store? It was done in bad taste

Kudos to Jordan Manila for doing this para at least naman ma regulate ang resellers, kasi parang people who really want to wear it needs to spend a lot of money to buy it sa resellers. Kasi for me reselling culture really hurts the middle Income shoe enthusiasts tho it creates a sense of exclusivity & leveraging the brand. Hopefully in the future tamang balance lang ng price and branding para naman wider scope of enthusiasts ang ma reach 😉🥰

Maganda rin sana kung mag-implement ang Jordan ng follow-up sa mga nagpurchase after a month to check if in possession pa din sila nung pairs na yun. If wala na sa kanila, then implement Rule 13: if caught reselling, banned from future purchases. Pero sure ako na mahirap iimplement 'to. Hassle sa part ng Jordan. The store's policy only take effects within the store. Selling it is a different story. Since it was already purchased. Well I didn't get the opportunity to cop one, but if the rules that you need to wear it in store is in the terms and condition for the raffle then no issue with that or terms and conditions may vary as per management, those buyers may had missed reading it, but if those terms are not stated on it or its and impromptu decision of the management then there could be a legal issue with it. But what the hell you get in line to buy the shoes and shoes are meant to be wore.

I think they shouldn't have done that since it's the buyers' or customers' right to do whatever they want to do on the things that they buy. Because at the end of the day, they bought it and it's their inventory already, and Nike or Jordan Philippines doesn't have the right to force them to wear it if they don't want to.

I heard from a few of the winners that this wasn't really the case. They were asked to wear it, but not necessarily hoop on it. I agree with what you said though, there's no way you can't completely devalue a pair this limited with this much hype.
Personally, even if you're a sneakerhead to your core, I don't think it would be practical for most people to keep something that could earn them more than 350,000 pesos. This pair is only going to go up in value as the years pass by, unless they do a GR of the exact same thing.

My take is,150 pairs, pair #23 on display, pair x with kiefer,x number of pairs for nike athletes and VIP (lets say 60 pairs including kiefer),if my approximation is close the true number of pair raffled and paid is less than a 100...so why make a press release for a raffle for 149 slots...but having folks wear the their pair is big company flex 😎

I think that it was a good decision on the brands part. Since, resellers are just taking all the shoes and other people, like myself cannot get a hold of any kind of pairs even though I would like to have one for myself. Nevertheless, congratulations to all the winners and enjoy your grails!

Smart idea by jordan and nike store na pinasuot nila para nmn ndi abusive mga resellers, pandemic na nga gngwa pang negosyo tapos mabigat pa.. Gnwa ang sapatos pra ienjoy at isuot nmn tlg.

Tama lang yan. Tsaka it’s their brand naman. Even Ford does it on their Ford GT. Yes I know it’s a big difference (kotse and sapatos) pero it’s the same. Buti nga walang demanda sa jordan eh sa ford meron.

Since its their store, we should follow their policy, if we cannot comply, then just don't join the raffle, I know some are really reselling it as times are really hard nowadays, but because of the hype and limited pairs, Jordan store made sure that the shoes went to people who really liked it and will wear it :)

Now it's a matter of consistency to ensure that shoes purchased from them won't be dominated by resellers.

while yung iba sa atin is iyak ng iyak about the resell price of it. ung tga ibang bansa na mga kolektor is willing to buy it for what ever the price is. kaya pansin nyo na kahit mamuhunan ang mga reseller satin ng 300k - 350k a pair e still meron parin willing na bumili sa mas mataas na resell value as of today. kasi sa mga solid na kolektor the history sa likod ng j4 manila ung mas nkakapag bgay ng value dyan plus 150 pairs world wide ! only a true sneakerhead will understand the game bakit ganyan at naiintindihan na baka pumalo ang price ng ganyan kataas kahit pa pinasuot yan o d msabi BNDS kasi sinuot na still j4 manila 150 pairs world wide padin yan 👊 thanks for a great vid idol carlo 🙏

And as you said sir, di rin naman bababa gaano presyo nyan kasi nga 150 pairs lang.

I actually think what they did is right. When I first heard about jordan store manila, i was scared about resellers taking the chance to buy in bulk and sell them twice or thrice the price, and it’s ridiculous. Thank God they made rules like this. I get the point of resellers/reselling, but sometimes it is just too much, sobrang nakakalula patong.

Honestly this is a big hit to the reseller community, honestly it really stings yes pero kulang pa yan, dapat magkaron ng crease at least ung shoe bago palabasin ng Jordan Manila ung lucky buyer. This honestly is a strong blow sa reseller community, you can’t always have that grail in a perfect and crisp condition. Sana kayo din maranasang makakuha ng “L”, no hate aryt? I myself has no choice these days than to entertain these resellers since ang kalaban parati sa Pinas is exclusivity and lack of supply.

Good Job JORDAN MANILA. sana ganito lahat gawin sa lahat ng special release,I'm not against reseller. but for ridiculous amount? wag nmn sana. para atleast magka chance ung ibang pagipunan, if ever.

  • @MultiRainday

Carlo is right. All 150 pairs are used after being bought so the price ceiling will not change. This would add more value to the shoe since it's first time in history for this to be done. GOAT actually take and sell used shoes.

Yeah I agree with the store policy, the limited shoe was really intended for customer to use it to wear it not to resell it may point din yung store kase by the end of the day mas kumita yung reseller kesa sa store sympre lets respect the team jordan and nike ph for making this design for manila

well it depends, if the rule of you winning the raffle and stipulates that Nike PH will have to ask you and wear 'em.. then I guess you have no choice but to comply.. otherwise you will not be part of the raffle.. that simple.
