From what I had heard, the NFL did not like some of the more extreme aspects (things like taunting or excessive celebration) of NFL Street and it really hampered what could be added to the game. Although the game was mediocre is was actually one of the better project experiences I worked on during my time at Tiburon.
Legend has it if you finish the tour without turning the commentary off you get a cinematic where Trey Wingo screams gibberish at you on a loop until you delete your save data

This game was so much fun to play with friends the crazy amount of quick time chains was hilarious. If you don’t play this game seriously it’s actually a lot of fun

Play NFL Street 2 and see if you can beat Xzhibit and his crew. Loved the fact that he managed to get himself not only put into the game but put into the games arguably the best QB on the game.

Madden, fifa, nba live we’re all struggling trying to build on their new gameplay engine. The last 2 ea sports big games made were atrocious. Nba street homecourt was way worse than the prior games and nfl tour seemed like they put 6 months of development into the damn game

The NFL standings in 2007 were so weird. Every team in the North division (in both the AFC and NFC) had winning records at home, but horrible losing records on the road. Example: The Browns and Steelers both finished 10-6, but only lost 1 game at home, each.
