    SwingVision normally shows average speed, not speed off the racquet. Based on how high up they are hitting the fence they look to be a bit over 100 mph.

    very nice precision on the serves - personally I'd take that over a 100mph serve

    Google this Video :Biggest Mistake Ever?! ATP Pro vs Amateur Player Tennis Match
    The Amateur has great serve with abbrevated swing , but at first he doesnot move his racket.
    He waits till the toss is hight enough

    where is radar placing.does it show the point of max speed?
    is your goal ,to make your serve faster?
    are my tips helpfull?
    how fast was your serve before?

    • @sebtennis
      @sebtennis  ปีที่แล้ว

      No it doesn’t show max speed. Yes I want to make it faster , you tips are the best, my serve was like in the 80-90mph range

      @@sebtennis thank you. there are 2 types of great fast modern serve :
      1) Raonic type :
      he is very strong man , with big muscles.
      he has hesitation in trophy position / break it trophy position. he do it to rotate his shoulders.
      2)Kyrgius type:
      he is skinny and he has almost no shoulder rotation , but he has faster hand speed and no break /hesitation in trophy position.
      he has staged swing on serve : he has hesitation before the racket is coming up.
      so he makes his toss overtakes his swing
      so you can try this type of serve.
      PS this type of serve caused very high toss to me , so i use semiabbrivated swing.
      to get toss overtaking swing i change postion of my left hand : it is higher.
      But in general i use Kyrgius type of serve.

      Hmm I’m not on the kyrgios build but I think I’ll be more like eso Uc when I get older so idk

    Why the massive step backward? Seems to add a lot of variability without contributing much pace.

    • @sebtennis
      @sebtennis  ปีที่แล้ว

      It definitely gave more power, I had 30+ aces in the tournament after this video. But I changed it now cuz I kept getting injured

      Many pro's take quite a big step back and it helps with forward momentum.

    Add more torso rotation. You're stopping the rotation once you hit the ball.

    Try soft poly on the mains, or gut. Easy +5-10mph

      I tried that and it wasn’t that great. But I currently use Kevlar on the mains

    You racket is reaching trophy position very early , before the ball is reaching highest point of the toss.
    so you have to wait and have a break in trophy position. i think , if you change little bit your timing and have no break in trophy position , you would increase the spead of your serve.

    • @sebtennis
      @sebtennis  ปีที่แล้ว

      Basically keep the motion more fluid?

    • @thebigmonstaandy6644
      @thebigmonstaandy6644 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sebtennis yes. you need the motion without break in trophy position. you have a break in trophy, because the racket in to early in trophy position : you have abbrevated motion, both hands go up at same time.
      you need to delay little bit you right hand.
      try this extreme exercise : you make low toss ,during you toss you right hand stays without motion.only after you end your toss motion you can start you hand motion.
      it is to extreme , but you would know , how it feels to serve without break and can adjust later your motion

      @@thebigmonstaandy6644 I don't know about this tip, my serve is always like 10mph faster if I stay more in trophy position. also abreviated motion. actually, even my coach suggested that I should do the same - stay more in trophy and the radar seems to prove him right

    • @thebigmonstaandy6644

      @@BeatsByDezea Best server dont have break in trophy position : Sampras,Kyrgius,Karlovic,Isner,Tanner.,Johannson.Only Federer had little hesitation. Roddick,Alcaraz have very special trophy position : they have abreviated motion, but they rotate shoulder late, after the racket reached trophy position. abreviated motion cause shoulder pain to me , same for Roddick and Alcaraz. Alcaraz also changed his motion in this year. Did you messed you average serve speed? i suppose you can rotate shoulders more, if you stay longer in trophy, but in general you can also do it without break in trophy. Roddick,Alcaraz,Rafter,Rios,Monfils had abbreviated motion. who else? PS 4 on them had shoulder or back injuries. Hurkacz has alos this motion, but he makes a break before trophy position and has difficult motion

    • @BeatsByDezea
      @BeatsByDezea 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@thebigmonstaandy6644 Yes, the time I need to stay in trophy to get more speed on the serve is quite small, similar to what Alcaraz does now. Serve is not shoulder friendly be it abreviated or not, I wouldn't be so quick to blame the abreviated motion for the injury - it's one of the most common injuries in tennis which can be caused by the serve next to abdominal strains. Risk can be lowered by lucky genetics, hard physio work, proper warming up and cooling down, building up your muscles.
