You might check out combat abrasives for belts. Excellent quality, good range of materials, much lower cost than most of the industrial suppliers. They're a big name in the knife making world. Glad to see another video!
@@craigsmachineshop2040 - The notcher is really nice. I played around with it a little when I got home, showing off on everything I threw at it. Very smooth and I will put it to good productive use soon. Thanks for helping me add another classic tool to the collection. And thanks Craig for the shop tour.
The shop is looking good. It looks like the floor to the shed is pavers. If those are just sitting on sand/gravel a 1500lb mill would be a pain to level and keep level. May be worth it to see if you can get some scrap steel sheet to put under it.
They look really nice. I do need a large work envelope though. I tried to look up the specs but the specs page on the website wasn’t working. Do you know the work envelope and HP?

Wow, thanks Stan! Great prices! They even have the non-woven.
Such an awesome progress! I love small and compact production workshops. Thanks for posting these updates!
Thanks Phil. Yeah, trying to fit it all in a small shop is challenging. Lol.
Just found your channel today, really like your videos. Just my speed.
Great progress Craig
Thanks Joel. How is the notcher working out?

@@joell439 Great to hear it’s working out! Great meeting you, was fun showing off the toys. Lol.

Sorry, just saw this. Yeah, I might have to pour concrete for it.
Room for another Tormach!!! That will be cool.
Hey Greg! Yeah, sales permitting. 🤞. How is it going?
Wow, I didn’t realize you had an 1100. Sweet! I guess I’ve kind of been out of it for a while or I forgot. Lol.
Use a chop saw for those bars and grind the ends. We used bar stock like that for chip hooks.
I usually cut 20-30 at a time on the bandsaw. Not sure the chop saw cam handle that. We go through about 12,000 a year.
It is great watching your shop and your machine/skill-set grow! Nice
How have you liked the Pierson work holding tools?
Thanks! The Pierson system is great. You just have to me mindful of the hold down mechanism and the pins when designing the pallet.
Whenever I cut multiple round pieces in horizontal saw I just weld the ends all together
Yeah, I need to get a welder and learn how to use it one of these days.
you should realy consider a Syil its worlds better than a tormach, unless you just need travel
