Great stuff. I marched out in 16/99 from Edinburgh (Air Force) and these are some of the greatest times in your career. You make friends in boot camp that last a lifetime. Catching up with an old mate in a couple of weeks in fact.
The best part is, once future employers see your work history they can't wait to employ you.
Thanks for your service Darren, keep at them Billy Badheads :)

ㅤ ㅤ Thanks. Yeah I got posted to Edinburgh as well, they got some pretty good facilities there now. As for the civilian employers I’ve been out for about a year now and unfortunately from what I’ve gathered they seem to find it hard to fully understand how certain skill taught in the defence force could be usefully them.

A fine display, great marching. Well done. Now it's 2024, and Australia is about 1.99million troops short for a war. Sad that our military is so lacking in modern ships, modern weaponry, and nuclear powered submarines. Nuclear weapons are sorely needed. India, Pakistan, France, UK, US, Russia, China are nuke armed. These soldiers on parade are willing to lay down their lives for Australia, the least they're entitled to is .....something seriously good to fight with.

Well everyone's experience is different but basically Kapooka isn't that hard, you'll probably find the repetitive tasks like polishing brass, cleaning weapons and theory lessons somewhat tedious and that's where the mental stamina comes into play. Other than that just follow your instructors directions to the T as fast as possible and always help out anyone struggling cause Kapooka is all about group punishment, sorry "retraining". Hope that helps, if you have any specific questions I'll try getting an answer to you

I also believe I wouldn’t be so biased towards them if they had to perform at the same physical level as their male counter parts (by this I am referring the the physical exam that is required to be taken before being enlisted and any other scheduled check ups).

We call all Australians and New Zealanders, in Gallipoli ANZACS. So if you visit Gallipoli you will be referred to as an ANZAC for the duration of your stay. There your nationality doesn't matter. You are considered sons and grandsons of ANZACS. In Gallipoli it is written as ANZAK. Locals view ANZAKS as part of the Gallipoli peninsula's people.
