I know most hardmen still lose every now and then but Cain has had the most embarrassing ones, there’s no way a supposed top hardman should have lost to mark Wylde, terry or Eli
Yeah but Phil Mitchell lost to Gary Hobbs, Billy, Tom Banks and Christian. So they're pretty even when it comes to losses and feats.

Lol Cain didn’t lose to Mark Wylde, Mark just got a lucky punch that didn’t even phase Cain. Beating Mark up would have been too easy and not achieved much, Cain wanted to expose Mark, which would have hurt him much more than a few punches
Eli was probs one of the hardest dingles and Zak said he was a former bare knuckle champion

@Carl Rees can't agree with that last statement mate, Cain definitely doesn't fight like shit. His shots are absolutely unreal, and pack a lot of power. However, as shown in this clip sometimes he plays mind games instead, like that fight outside the pub where he just let Wylde lay him right out, new era Cain of this day and age wouldn't have let him land a punch but that was clever, and very strategical, so that Wylde would be lifted instead. Reminds me a lot of when Gary Windass let Ali Neeson beat the shit out of him, so he could have him struck off as a medical practitioner (his passion) and arrested in the process, had he fought back Ali would've most likely been beaten to a pulp.
@Carl Rees I'd actually say his punches are pretty much the most powerful and convincing on the show, with Aaron coming a close second. Obviously when he was younger he had less experience, and it's kinda difficult to drop your own Dad (most of the time) During that era though, Zak was lethal, in his prime.. and a pro boxer, if I'm not mistaken? Obviously as his son, Cain is going to pick up some of those genetics. That's a reason there.. also, they have to have their resident hardman, and Cain is the perfect blueprint for that. He has a certain look, perfectly evidenced when Ross Barton grabbed Belle behind the Woolpack bar and Cain went for him, the chilling death stare alone foreshadows his fighting abilities. As for body type, back when Holly was alive, and dealing.. and that little scrote had that enormous bodyguard.. "Chunks", I believe they called him? That guy was double Cain's size, and yet still Cain dropped him on approach with a nutshot and a nice right.. so size doesn't really come into it. The guy was so hurt he couldn't even fight back. In terms of skill, the only other character on his level would be Graham, a fully trained ex SAS vet and Cain still managed even him a couple of times.. so there's your fighting training for you. I'm not saying he's untouchable, Nate put up a pretty good fight against him a couple of times, but that's his son so it's kind of expected. Apart from that.. of course he's going to come back harder after a hiatus, sometimes he only has to warn people and they get the message, but when the fists fly, Cain is definitely king there 👊🏻👨🏻👑

@Ryan Wilson A lot of these are from his first stint where he was more a trouble maker than a hardman but when he returned in 2009, top dog Zak was getting old and the writers needed someone to take his place, that's when they made Cain the hardest character in the show.
Tbh even in his 2009 return initially he wasn’t that tough, he got punched by mark Wilde, roughed up by John a few times without retaliating and even Jay grabbed him once, but in 2012 onwards after making him more of an anti hero than a villain they also made him invincible 😂

@Carl Rees I don't care how dogshit it was, a win is a win to me. Fight scenes don't always have to be Fast & Furious level to judge them. Cain's had alot of crap moments but I believe his fight with Graham showed what he's truly capable of. Not many soap characters would beat Graham and especially not anyone in Hollyoaks.

Sean vs Jack in 2019 was a great example of a quick yet really even and good fight I have no idea why Emmerdale couldn't do similar

Yeah, I don't think so. Phil and Cain are just about equal when it comes to losses and equal when it comes to feats.
There not equal cain got battered a lot back in the day in straight up fights whereas Phil didn’t a lot of phils loses we’re sucker punches from Gary billy and other people.

@@darrylball3880 All Terry did was punch him when he wasn't looking and drag him out, I don't see how that's a loss. Mark's punch barely did anything to Cain and Eli tackled Cain to the floor while he was taking his jacket off. If you want to play that game, I could bring up Tom Banks punching Phil, Geoff Morton twisting Phil's finger and Jay sending Phil flying to the floor after dodging his punch.
