    Can you please start putting a direct link in the description that goes right to the recipe that you're making? It makes it much easier than having to search for it each time. Please consider!!! Thank you!

    you know laura,
    i am 99% vegan and probably 85% of what i eat is fruits, vegetables, and sweet potatoes, but i love your videos. the energy you exude is so fun and you seem so kind and down-to-earth. plus, you've always been yourself on youtube, which is awesome. i don't even particularly like cooking, and yet i watch your videos haha. however, i did recently make a vegan sweet potato pie and it was delicious :) anyway, you still inspire me and i enjoy watching you cook. thank you for all you do ^_^

    Carissima Laura, I have been watching your channel for some time now and I wanted to tell you how much I APPRECIATE your channel. I am Italian/American born my parents are from Napoli, a lot of what you make is a lot of what we cook too, thankfully I still have my mom she is older now and most of what she use to make are memories, I wish I would have payed more attention back in the day! I think you are AWESOME!!!!! I refer to your channel many times when I want to make something from from the past. I tell family members and friends about your channel, and how wonderful it is, I feel like we are family through your cooking and make it a priority to check out your website daily. Hopefully maybe some day our paths will cross. What a PLUS to have the makeup channel too! I refer to that channel also. THANK YOU, THANK YOU Laura. Best of luck to you and your husband. God Bless your you tube paisano! CIAO.

    You guise, you guise. I made a toasted coconut version, with toasted coconut flour and sweetened coconut flakes mixed in with the rice, and I added coconut extract along with vanilla to the marshmallow and butter mixture. It's divine.

    Hi Laura, I've been watching your videos for a few years and have loved learning how to recreating your recipes at home. Especially your thanksgiving turkey recipe. One year after I moved out of my parents house I cooked my first thanksgiving with my roommates all on my own and it was a huge success thanks to your recipe. I was wondering if you could do a recipe for Louisiana style boiled garlic butter shrimp? Thank you Laura.

    I make these using Kraft Marshmallow Cream and they are outrageously delicious!!

  • @BridgetoSomewhere
    @BridgetoSomewhere 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yes a big pot; a six quart or larger. I use 2 sticks butter (can use 1 stick butter, 1 stick margarine), 1 pound KRAFT marshmallows (no substitutes), and Kellog's rice crispies (no substitutes). I melt the butter and marshmallows carefully and add about one half a giant box of rice crispies. Mine turn out about like hers in texture and stickiness and they taste so much nicer like that. Mine make a very large (next size up from 9X13) pan although you can use 9X13 & they will be thicker. They taste better after they have sat for a couple hours. Do not refrigerate. Am not trying to upstage Laura but had same problem with tough dry treats so worked out my own version.

    Secret to marshmellow-y soft Rice Krispies Treats? Don't let the marshmallows melt all the way. Not even close, really. Just melted enough to stir/blend the cereal into. One of the best kitchen tips I ever learned!

    You can add more depth of flavor if you separately toast half the amount of cereal in a pan (or in the oven, spread out in a baking sheet) and combine it with the other half of cereal that isn't toasted. And since you're using unsalted butter, you can add a _small_ amount of sea salt to the butter for even MORE flavor (if you did happen to start with regular/salted butter, the end result might end up being too salty... no surprise).
