WOW! STUNNING! Thank you SO much for making, and sharing, such an amazing video of such an amazing mountain. I have driven to North Wales, and back home to Swansea, a few times over the years - using the two Cadair Idris roads - and the scenery is outstanding… But nothing like what I’ve just experienced by watching your video. Thank you… DIOLCH.
Such all round quality Alex....thanks. Very impressed that you addressed the realities of scaling Tryfan and that it is no walk in the park, where things can and do go wrong, mostly for the unprepared/inexperienced without sound navigation/route finding skills. It's not the location of Ogwen Mountain Rescue teams most call-outs for no reason.
What an amazing day you got in Feb to do this hike! This is very much on our list for this year as we've never tackled it in our many adventures in Snowdonia. thanks for the further inspiration!
great video alex love the views im doing cadair idris and aran fawddwy on 3rd & 4th june so just started watching what its like and loved this im looking forward to it even more now 😊
I know that memory taints with age, but I remember a hike up the Devil's Kitchen along the Ridge down past a quarry to Bethesda. Now you are talking years ago, Alex, but that hike to me was fantastic, and I remember it like yesterday. Perhaps one for a later, longer hike for you. As for this vlog, it is absolutely outstanding as always. Thanks for sharing.
👋 Hey there! I absolutely loved this video! The scenery in Snowdonia National Park is breathtaking 🏞, and your hiking adventure looked like a lot of fun. 😃 I can't wait to see more of your outdoor adventures!
Stunning video! How long would you say it took from leaving and getting back to the car park . Thinking of wild camping half way and then finishing off the rest of the hike next day.
Great vlog 👍.. we're both 64 ,still active hill walking, although I said I'm done with the bigger stuff after the Glyders did me knees in (you'll find out in years to come 😂) Cadair Idris still beckons though.. which route down did you take as you seem to have avoided the skree .. thanks in advance
Another great video Alex, but a bit of a slog on that first bit. Always thought that if we had four legs like dogs it would be so much easier. 😀 Fabulous views!
Thank you Peter! Yes that first section is pretty brutal but definitely worth it for the views you get once it’s done! Dogs make it look far too easy 😅
I hiked this on Sunday I did the exact route but reversed it Went up in 25c heat and down in monsoon conditions with lightning and thunder great day 🙌🙌
Thank you very much and glad you enjoyed them 😁 parking at Cadair Idris seemed pretty good considering it was a Sunday can imagine it being busier in the coming months. Ogwen Valley for Tryfan gets very busy on the weekend especially when the weather is good!
Just completed this on Sunday. Wish I had seen your video before. It was tough but well worth it and the weather was amazing! What SLR camera do you use for your pics? They look fantastic. Have given you a follow on IG 👍🏻
Hi mate looks amazing love the vid. Can you help im going to that area with the family end of this month. I’m allowed out to do a wild camp. I have not done anything high before and don’t want to over do it. Can I ask How long did it take to get to the lake ? Is it easy to navigate im now expert. We’re would you wild camp at the lake or higher up ? Thanks very much Cheers Graham

Beautiful video Alex, it has made my day watching it.
Thank you 😊
What a fab route that is, great upload Alex, that is on my list now, near the Mach Loop as well! Thanks for taking the time to share this with us!
Thank you very much! Highly recommend doing it 😁

Thank you very much Chris!! Devils Kitchen, Y Garn and the Glyders are on my list of places to film this year. Stunning part of Snowdonia! Cheers 👍😁
Great work with the gang mate! Looks like you caught a beaut day - especially at the end. Sunset at the end was a stunner too!
Cheers bro!! Couldn’t have asked for better weather, sunset was beaut but added an hour on to the drive home 😂 worth it though!

Great content again! Planning a few visits to Wales this year myself. Do you share your routes anywhere?
Thank you very much! I don’t currently and it’s something I need to start doing. I’ll try attach the gpx file in the description over the weekend 👍
Such an inspiring video - was the path easy to find with signs? I am a regulary at Coed-y-brenen and really want to climb Cadir!! So Impressive!!

Enjoyed both this and the Tryfan uploads mate. Gonna have to give them both a go. What's it like for parking on a weekend?

Hi mate where can you acquire permission to go to wild camp there?
Do you have the gpx file of the route you did?
Alex, thanks for another terrific video though not sure if Max was leading the way at th-cam.com/video/j7SADjM3zZ4/w-d-xo.html !
Thank you Cliff! Dogs always make it look so easy don’t they!
