    That reminds me of my first T injection. Hot flashes. I needed to turn up the air-con and then after a while I felt cold.

    i have to go on (hopefully) blockers soon, and this video if really informative, so thank you! there arent many videos like this, especially for someone like me who is uk based. i agree that it isnt fair that someone should have to be on blockers for a year before hormones (especially if youre 16!!) but hey, whatever will get me to get on hormones quicker. unfortunately, the way things are going for me at the moment, i've figured out i'll start t just before i'm 18, which is really not what i want. but it's reassuring to hear advice and see someone who's a few steps ahead of me in the process. ive thought about going private because its what i need, but i dont want to pay. eh, its a bit of a shit situation, and i feel down about it a lot of the time. but.. anyway thank you so much for this video, keep it up dude!

      +Evan Bishop Thank You! I was devastated when I found out I had to go on Blockers but as much as it was annoying, it has gone way faster than I thought it would! The way I looked at it was at least it's better than being on nothing. Good luck with your journey😊

    hey just wanted to let you know that i came across your video because i recently found out the procedure is the same in my country (sweden) and realized i knew nothing about starting hormone blockers as i moved from the states recently were you do start on t directly (in most cases). after almost two years wait time i finally had a meeting with a gender therapist who approved me for hormone blockers and hopefully i'll start this month. and so now i feel like i know nothing (also it sucks waiting another year after waiting two years in this country alone). any other advise you have would be greatly appriciated. thank you and thank you for taking the time to make this video :)

      Hi Ash! I've almost finished on blockers now and I honestly don't think it could of gone any faster! The time has flown by so If your worried about being stuck on blockers the time does go really fast! I was gutted about having to go on blockers first but I came to the conclusion that it's better than being on nothing. The hot sweats are pretty rough but your doctors should be able to help you with those. Good luck with your journey!👊

      Sam Barnes thank you again. the hot flashes scare me tbh as I already receive hot flashes as a side effect of a medication I'm taking and I do not deal well with heat (I've stripped down to just a t-shirt and we have I think like 40 cm of snow rn and still been uncomfortable). Do you have any tips? As well I get EXTREMELY tired due to a reason of medical things going on rn. I've heard blockers tend to make you tired? did you feel that effect? if so how bad was it? thanks :)

      I don't have any tips on how to deal with the hot flashes apart from buy yourself a portable fan like I did😂 After 6 months of being on Gonapeptyl my hospital switched me onto Decapeptyl which should help reduce side effects. I don't know what your situation is but you could speak to your doctor about switching as well if you get bad side effects. I don't ever feel tired from the blocker so I can't really say anything about that! :)

    I may be starting hormone blockers because my mom won't let me start testosterone. She won't even call me by my preferred pronouns or name. 😣😧

    hi sam do you know if you have to have both parents consent to go on hormone blockers in the uk? thanks

      Hey Layton, I can't say I'm 100% sure but I would of thought that as long as you are living your day to day life as a guy (presuming your ftm?) and you are living in an environment that is safe to transition in (i.e - not physically/mentally harming you because you aren't cisgender) then you should be fine :)

    Do hormone blockers refuse the size of your breasts?

    • @chrisbrand2162
      @chrisbrand2162 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, hormone blockers don't reduce the size of your breasts. In the first month that I started hormone blockers I felt like my chest actually grew, but I might have just been imagining that. Hormone blockers don't really change anything except that they stop your period after a while and stop any other changes from happening, like breast growth.

      Doctors will tell you that they will but the chances are they won't, even if they do it's normally people who have a higher fat percentage and it's just the fat going not the actual breast tissue.

    Do hormone blockers shrink breast tissue?
