Guys, you always crack me up with your antics. I've lived in Kaimuki for almost 20 years and this is the mecca of food and dining with so many great places! Pipeline is simply my favorite place for great sweets. And you didn't try the malasadas... Their malamode (malasada and ala mode) is unreal...a must try. Triple chocolate brownie is sinful but I digress. Mahalo for what you do and I must try kawaii bowl.
Thanks to you two my husband and I were able to explore and enjoy all the food that you both recommended. We were there since the 20th of February and just got back home to Minnesota this morning 😩 thanks for all the food videos!!!
Amanda & Felix! Another awesome episode! Wow you folks always make the food look so good! Also thanks for the shout out, really appreciate it and especially because some of your viewers have come over to check me out too, mahalo! Can’t wait for the next episode! Aloha 😁🤙🏽
I've been on an Amanda and Felix eats binge watch so I'm really trying to watch all your videos. You guys are so awesome. Love your vibe and your food videos...Mahalo!
Awesome guys that you’re helping out the locals!!👏🏻 We will definitely check some of these out if/when we visit😋🤙🏻 And everything looked yummy today too you guys🤤🤤
Love Kaimuki! Grew up there but now live in MILILANI. When we go to visit fam, we have to stop at Happy Days, Broken Rice, Cow Cow, Pipeline, Scoonies... yes, all in one visit. Then we drive home and grind! Love your videos! Keep um coming!
You guys are too funny...its not just a Hawaii thing Cubans eat rice and fried egg with fried spam and sometime fried sweet plantains. Love you guys Mahalo for the video!
Amanda and Felix you both are the first local foodies I have run into on my TH-cam page which has been a fun ride. Pipeline malasadas in my opinion is way better than Leonard's bakery. Thank you for all the local places you have both put a spotlight on.
Seriously, love you guys. Can’t wait for our trip in May! Keep locals eat coming. Love eating locals!! Also, any tropical fruit stands? Taking my Vietnamese parents and they’ve been asking about all the good fruits!!
On the ninth island binge-watching your awesome videos. The food looks so ono! Now I have a long list of new restaurants to try once I get back home. Hawaii has the best food. Mahalo for keeping me up to date on the local grinds. Your sister and you both are so cute. Aloha!
Always enjoy and appreciate your content. Planning on trying kau kau grill sometime this week because of you guys. Thank you for supporting and sharing with us local places to eat. Looking forward to the next episode
We loveeee all your videos. We will visit the island this May and my husband said when we go to these establishments, make sure to mention your names / channel. You truly help future vacationist showing all these these savory food joints.
I'm going to Honolulu tomorrow with my best friend for my 30th bday and I've been writing down and planning on going to some of the places you both have reccommend.. thank you for what you do 😊
Howzit Amanda & Felix! My name is Dave & recently started following you guys. I moved from home to Oregon and started watching your channel just makes me miss home even more!! I have been to Pipeline before and love the malasadas there! And yes there cakebombs are yummy!! So I have a few recommendations to try out and I'm sure you will enjoy them. 1st couple places is in Kaimuki and they are Saint Louis Dr Inn. Prices are fairly cheap, I use to go there whenever I had field trips in school and next to them is an Okazuya that's also pretty inexpensive and also good as well, although it's best to hit them in the morning because they tend to run out really fast. Another place is W&M Burger which is across from 711 in kaimuki. Awesome burgers and drinks as well. The next 2 places are owned by my classmate Alex Le and his brothers which also owned Toys & Joys up in Kaimuki where Pipeline currently is. The 1st location is Pig and the Lady which is downtown and their 2nd location is in Ward Center is Piggy Smalls. Both locations are the BOMBdigidy!! Another place to try is Ray's Cafe located a little past downtown going to kalihi, Ray is an awesome guy and they hook it up!, so check him out and he's also on Instagram. If you like Mexican food, try out Los Chaparos! Awesome food and reasonable price. The last place I recommend is Youngs Fish Market, my go to for Hawaiian food which is located across where you bought the taro malasadas from. And last place for dim sum is Happy Days Chinese restaurant in upper kaimuki. Great selection of dim sum and Chinese food. By all means if any of these suggestions are good or bad, let me know by DM me personally. Ok well mahalo nui loa and hope to hear back from you!
Aloha! We've eaten at all of the places you recommend! My brother went to St Louis so we spent lots of days eating in that surrounding area! As for Pig and the Lady/Piggy Smalls, whenever we crave vietnamese fusion food it is a go to! Ray's cafe is another go to! We actually ordered that for Felix's sister's birthday brunch with the fam last year! The chef's name is Felix too!😆 Los Chaparos is another Felix's favorite Salsa place! Happy Day is another Dim Sum favorite! I grew up eating there as well! Mahalo for watching🤙🏼
@@AmandaFelixEats Oh wow right on guys, glad you have gone to most of those places, if I can remember any other places from home I'll let you know. But as for me living here in Oregon is so different than home and lots of places here are still unopened and also recovering from the snowstorm we had a couple weeks ago. Some places don't have power still yet. But lucky for me, I have power so I've been cooking at home for the most part and have gotten pretty creative. Anyway, I'm on FB and IG if you want to add we can share some good stuff and can let you know about places up here. Ok hope to gear from you guys soon, aloha🤙🤙
Arghhhh I really want to watch this but we watch all your videos as a family and it's nearly midnight here in the UK so everyone else is asleep! 😂 Love your videos guys, thanks for keeping us dreaming of Oahu during lockdown!!
Hopefully you'll make it over here one day. We can't guarantee the weather but we can guarantee good food! We're hoping we can get back to Oahu next year but only if we're done with the masks... couldn't deal with 20 hours on planes in masks! 🤯
After watching this I ordered 1 of everything from Kawaii Bowl. It was good. Thanks for supporting and advertising local. Told them I found out about them thru you all. Hope these places gives you all free food for great advertisement.
Aloha Amanda & Felix! Mahalo for the birthday wishes, you both are very kind. Photo Luke has a great channel too. For people like me who do not live in Hawaii and was unable to go out there in 2020 due to the pandemic, I feel as though I'm right there with you both with watching your vlogs (it warms the heart), even my 90 yr old Mom watches your vlogs along with me (we would love to meet you both when we are out there in December!). I've tried the Pipeline Bakery cake bomb and it was so ono, it almost tasted as if the cake, especially the bottom was soaked in honey or some kind of sugar syrup (I had ordered online and had it shipped to me a few months ago), I don't remember all of the flavors ordered, but I think the guava one was my favorite. I could never understand why some restaurant establishments would not want free advertisement of their place, but I appreciate the fact that you respect their wishes with not showing them in your vlogs and/or mentioning their restaurant name. As always, look forward to your next vlog!
Aloha Paula! Thank you for always supporting us! We're so happy we can bring you and your mom a small part of Hawaii through TH-cam! Mahalo for watching🤙🏼
Had to go to Pipeline after watching this video and have to say the malasadas are the best. Fresh or even after several hours later they are still soft and fluffy. Really good!
Triple yum for both of the places I'll look forward to eating them keep up the good work you guys are doing a great job friend of mine in Hawaii is also a subscriber and she keeps a list of all the places you guys have been that she wants to go to with me when I get over there pretty cool
That pork belly bowl looks so ono. When I was a kid in Hanalei my mother used to make something called kau yook with pork belly and in between the slices of pork belly was slices of potato and I haven't yet figured out the sauce that was over it. I've got to learn how to make that dish. I need a local cookbook. Maybe it's in there. What you & Felix were chomping down sure looks good. Mahalo.
🌺🌺🌺🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼🌺🌺🌺. Wow. I have no idea what park that is. Lemme look again…. Nope. Still nothing. lol. Guess I don’t venture enough 😄. Another great video 👍🏼
So my family are set to be in Oahu at the end of April and ever since I've watch your videos, my list of foods to eat have gone from just a 2-3 places to now 10 plus. Every video I've watched so far has at least one place I wanted to try if not all. Keep up the fantastic videos! And yes, I clicked the new content notification. 😁😁👍. Btw, was the banh mi at least good?
Nice video as always, I liked the little puka cake, I wonder if they have some sugar free desserts, us diabetics always gotta suffer when we see all these delicious desserts and we cannot eat them, 😞😩 ... oh well, such is life, lol... keep up the good vids, you two, I'll keep watching, aloha..🤙🤙
Hello foodies! Just want to tell you guy. My grandma said Felix is very handsome. And my 10 year old sister said Amanda is so cute with her bangs. 😀❤️🌴
Mai Lan Vietnamese restaurant. 1224 Ke’eaumoku street. My siblings always go there and they say there crab 🦀 curry is 🔥. You guys probably ate there already. Keep keepn on fam chee 🤙🏽
Because of you folks... my curiosity was piqued and I went to the (no can mention / "no name") Bahn Mi place on Waialae. 🤣🤣🤣 I ordered 3 different Bahn Mi to do my own taste test review. HOLY MOLY!!! Let me just say... quoting the Terminator... "I'll be back!" 😋😋😋 Seriously, your viewers should check out this place. Even if they didn't want you to video record... pictures would have sufficed for you to do your review. Just say'in. ??? Anyway, Mahalo for not mentioning the "No Name BBQ" bahn mi place... it was ONO Delicious. 😋❤😋❤😋❤ Just wanted to add... Yup! I agree. Pipeline Bakeshop & Creamery is the BOMB. They're gosh darn awesome! Their peanut butter cookies are crazy delicious! Their malasadas are lightly crispy on the outside, and super soft and fluffy on the in inside. Absolutely heavenly. 😋❤😋❤😋❤
Don't get out to the Kaimuki area very much, but one place I'd recommend in the area is Diamond Head Market and Grill. Try the portobello mushroom burger or the plate lunch at the drive in window. Or inside the market any of their scones and the lemon crunch cake. Actually all their desserts are really good!! Give them a try if you already haven't.
Whenever we go to Diamond Head Market I cannot leave without a scone! Been going there since they opened after the burger/plate lunch place that was there before them when I was a kid! Mahalo for watching🤙🏼
Oooo y’all are so cute!!! I’m so excited to visit Oahu now \( *~*)/!!!! I love food and, y’all look so happy n cute when y’all try the foods; can’t wait to try them too
I loveeee watching you guys. It’s just hard sometimes because Amanda eats with her mouth open. It’s so hard fir me to see people’s food in their mouth. But love you guys.
The price sounds right up my alley, but when I visit I use THE bus system. I'm afraid that by the time I get back to my hotel it will be cold. 😔 Great video tho. 😀
I know exactly which banh mi place on Waialae you guys were talking about. Their sandwiches are actually pretty good though, but shave ice not so much. Also, imo, Pipeline has the best malasadas on the entire island, and the Saigon's Restaurant you guys passed at 2:31 is the best value for Viet food in Kaimuki, including $6.50 banh mis. Source: I live just off Waialae.
You convinced us to try Saigon's restaurant!😆 But when we called to order the banh mi they said they don't do banh mi's on sundays😭 Guess we gotta try again some other time😆 lol
@@AmandaFelixEats The quality of the food is average, but the prices are really low. As long as you understand what they are bringing to the table and aren't expecting the best food, you'll be satisfied and save a few dollars every time you eat there compared to other Vietnamese restaurants in the area.
Saigon's Restaurant next to Pipeline is one of my all-time favorite. They are super friendly... I love them and their food. * Spicy Lemongrass Chicken Sandwich * Oxtail Soup * Summer Rolls (sauce for it is so good) * Coconut/Haupia Tapioca Pudding I truly love this place... the food and the owners. ❤😋🤙
I agree. The (No Name BBQ) bahn mi place is GOOD. The ironic thing is... I checked out this place because of Amanda & Felix. If they didn't make it such a mystery of this no-can-mention place, it wouldn't have piqued my interest to find and research this (No Name BBQ) business. This place has Super high reviews on Yelp, and after trying 3 of their Bahn Mi, I totally agree with you and Yelp reviews. 😋😋😋 5 Shaka rating 🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙
Hey guys, thank you for letting me know about Kawaii Bowls! Missed the pork bowls from Your Kitchen. Interesting, but I can't find the Kawaii Bowls website or on Yelp. About that egg. It's not tempura. In Japanese it is, "Hanjuku tamago fry", or in english, "half-cooked egg fry". A shrimp tempura has that flour coating. But when it has panko on it instead of the flour, the Japanese call that 'ebi fry'. So that katsu-style egg would be an egg 'fry', not tempura. To me Pipeline has the best haupia ice cream. It's the bomb!
Have the two of you reviewed the malasada from Pipeline? My wife and I tried the malasada there back in 2017 because I read that the owner got her start at Leonard's. However, we were so disappointed because the malasada tasted like it was fried in really old oil. I'd like to give them a try again, especially for that cake bomb. But convincing my wife to go back there will be a challenge. I know that park really well. Kapaolono Park. Used to play our Senior Little League games there. Also where the Waialae AJA team used to practice. Oh yeah, Mackey Feary used to hang out there, too. Of course this was way before he became famous.
We have not tried their malasadas yet! Some people in comments are recommending it so we'll probably try it next time! Every time we've gotten their cake bomb we have not been disappointed so hopefully you can give the cake bomb a try! 🤤 I've spent many summers at summer fun and lots of swimming lessons at Kapaolono Park! Mahalo for watching🤙🏼
You both be knocking out videos. Do you usually ask permission if you can record in the restaurants you visit? My gf and I will be in Hawaii and want to know what the process is for recording video in restaurants. Are most restaurants/businesses okay with recording them or the inside?
That's the one! I couldn't remember the name. I used to drive past it every day on my way to work at KCC. Also, Jake Shimabukuro lives a block away from there too (or at least he used to if not anymore). :-)
Well no matter what business it is if you don’t want the customer to video or mention the business then you can only assume something shady is happening there OR if you give a bad review they don’t want anyone to know it was bad! But I don’t see why you wouldn’t want free advertisement and if it’s good it’s better for business! Why open a business if you don’t want anyone to know about it? I’ll skip it!
@@howzit9397 I have the same thoughts, something is strange. Another place they went did the same. Makes me suspicious that the owners are hiding from someone and just want to get by.
@@howzit9397 Because of Amanda & Felix hinting of this place, it piqued my interest, so I researched and found the (not named/no name) place. Then, I went and ordered 3 of their bahn mi, to do my own taste testing... they were all DARN GOOD. But my favorite was the BBQ Pork Bahn Mi. What was also nice, was the people/workers there were very pleasant. They kept thanking me for my business. I would highly recommended this place. 🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙 (5 Shaka rating) This (No Name BBQ) bahn mi place has super high reviews on Yelp, so hopefully, you'll reconsider your decision and check this place out for yourself, because they are worth trying. Also, according to this video post from Amanda & Felix, the "worker" was okay with them taking pictures, it was due to the owner not being present that she didn't allow them to video record. I'm sure the owner is SUPER UNHAPPY with the worker's boneheaded call 😬... who knows? she may have been fired.🤷♀️ In any case, Amanda and Felix still could have done the review with pictures of the place, but they chose not to for their own personal reasons. And, by them mentioning that weren't going do a review, as well as hinting they way they did of this place, viewers could either choose to research and check this place out for themselves, as I did, Or NOT... all because this place (worker) not allowing them to record a video. 🙄 It will be extremely sad if a local business is tarnished due to a mistake or misunderstanding... which totally goes against supporting local businesses. I can understand if a business totally sucks... but after trying "No Name BBQ" for myself, they are far from being sucky. The high reviews on Yelp are accurate. This place is worth checking out. Anyway, I hope in the future Amanda & Felix will reconsider their stance on not reviewing an establishment just because they don't allow them to video record... pictures are known to be worth a thousand words. 😊🤙

Personally, I respect that.
@@AmandaFelixEats I thought you said they were okay with pictures just not video because the owner wasn't there? Pictures would have been fine to do a review.
@@ChopChopsBabyHuey We were busy taking videos while in the shop and they told us not to use our videos after we paid and was about to leave the store... didn't feel right to stay in there after the fact taking pictures after they clearly told us not to film.. so we left without pictures.
@@AmandaFelixEats while editing, couldn't you have turned video footage into pictures? Hey, I completely support you over your prerogative not to feature a business for whatever reason you choose. But to hint about a business and not review them with the explanation you gave, which then lead some of your viewers to make "shady" comments... 😬 (cringe) You folks are fortunate to have a well deserved large following, as well as a strong influence on your viewers, which is pretty powerful stuff to promote a business, but it can also hurt a business as well. If the food or service sucks, they should get a harsh review. However, something that has nothing to do with the food or service, such as not allowing video to be taken, then indirectly have viewers pass judgement on an establishment over video allowance, is kind of counterproductive in supporting local businesses. And, it obviously shows how an image of an establishment can easily be tarnished over a mistake or misunderstanding, especially in this case by a boneheaded employee... not the business owner. 😬 I was mainly disturbed by some of the "shady" comments, or anything that implied a tarnishing remark by your viewers, as well as you supporting them with a ❤. Over video vs. pictures? Yikes! So, for example, because of your review on Kuhio Grill, I went there with excitement to try their food, and especially to experience their super friendly (Hilo-Style) service. Let me just say, I did not get the same experience from the same person that helped you. She was not at all upbeat as she was in your video, and did not help me open the door when I was trying carry out a huge box with a heavy load of plate lunches that I picked up for my family... there was no other customers in the place other than me... she may have been having a bad day...🤷♀️ I still gave them a 22% tip, which came out to about $27. Did they deserve the tip? Maybe not for this particular day, but I don't want to have one off day be my final judgement, as well as not doing my part in supporting a local business. I'll will go back and try again on another day... hopefully, I'll get your kind of special treatment on my next visit. 🤞 My point, I was influenced my your review, I didn't get what I was expecting, but I didn't hold it against them for this one off incident. I'll be fair and try them out again. Sooo... maybe give NO NAME BBQ a second chance... just a friendly suggestion... 🤷♀️... because my experience there was far different from what you experienced... I took a lot of pictures, but I think they WOULD have allowed me to take video too. I only took pictures because I was sending them via messenger and text to my friends, family and co-workers... that's one of my ways for contributing in supporting local business. Plus, I have a big mouth for food and to spread the word via coconut wireless. 🤣 Anyway, just wanted to say, I truly enjoy watching your videos, and lots of times I have cracked up over your humorous and entertaining demeanor. So please don't think I'm hating on you. I'm just sharing my thoughts and opinion. 😊🤙
@@ChopChopsBabyHuey Thank you for your honesty and respect, we really appreciate your support and your passion for supporting local businesses. We're sorry you had that bad experience at Kuhio grill... but like you said sometimes even establishments have their off days. As for the pictures we could have made them into stills, however, when an establishment makes it a point to tell us they don't want us to film we take that very seriously. We don't want any altercations after the fact so we take extra precaution and rather just scrap the whole footage itself. In the end, this is a vlog of our foodie adventure so we try to be transparent about our experiences so we mentioned what happened to us. We didn't want to directly throw shade at any establishment and left it to our viewers imagination to think what they want to think. People will make shady comments no matter what, so we came to the conclusion that keeping it vague was the most friendly. At the end of the day, they didn't want us to film so the next time we feature sandwiches it's gonna have to be some place else. We are fairly new to this TH-cam platform and every video is a learning experience for us. Honestly speaking, Hawaii's food establishments are still trying to understand TH-cam/social media and the effects of it on their business, so hopefully one day this establishment will be ok with filming in the future.
Some sad they treated you guys like that after the fact you paid. Here you are supporting local if only they know your platform would bring them business. Sucks to be them.
According to Amanda & Felix, this business (worker) was okay with pictures, just not video because the owner wasn't there... which the owner is probably P.O. about this worker's boneheaded call. However, Amanda & Felix still could have done their review with pictures of the place. I've watched another local TH-cam content creator that does food/eateries get asked not to film or take pictures, and still she highlighted the business, and did a honest review. Amanda & Felix could have handled it the same way. Just saying, it didn't have to be a no-go to do a review of the food and business. And, I did check out this place because of Amanda & Felix's video. I did my research... high reviews on Yelp... had 3 of their (No Name BBQ) bahn mi... I fully agree with the high Yelp reviews. 😋👍🤙❤

As for Pig and the Lady/Piggy Smalls, whenever we crave vietnamese fusion food it is a go to! Ray's cafe is another go to! We actually ordered that for Felix's sister's birthday brunch with the fam last year! The chef's name is Felix too!😆
Los Chaparos is another Felix's favorite Salsa place!
I could use that right now Amanda and Felix you’re making me so hungry
Felix can you give me the name of the restaurant again please that you have that make him move to be rice Did you ask her to eat in please thank you
Just got to Oahu today and can’t wait to check some of the places you’ve visited!
Awesome! Hope you enjoy the food and your stay here! Mahalo for watching🤙🏼
Arghhhh I really want to watch this but we watch all your videos as a family and it's nearly midnight here in the UK so everyone else is asleep! 😂
Love your videos guys, thanks for keeping us dreaming of Oahu during lockdown!!
Aww thats so sweet! We're so glad we can bring you a part of Hawaii through TH-cam!
We can't wait to travel to the UK someday! Mahalo for watching🤙🏼
Thats great! We're so glad you enjoyed it! Mahalo for watching and supporting🤙🏼
Guys that looks great I need that food in my life thanks guys

Love these foodie finds, especially the bowls.... hope she has a storefront soon.
We hope so too🤤 Mahalo for watching🤙🏼
Love runny egg on rice. Perfect. Stuck inside here in LA so I’m enjoying dining out thru you guys.👍
So glad we can take you along dining with us! Mahalo for watching🤙🏼
Triple yum for both of the places I'll look forward to eating them keep up the good work you guys are doing a great job friend of mine in Hawaii is also a subscriber and she keeps a list of all the places you guys have been that she wants to go to with me when I get over there pretty cool
Cool! We hope you can enjoy all the places we've gone🤤! Mahalo for watching🤙🏼
That pork belly bowl looks so ono. When I was a kid in Hanalei my mother used to make something called kau yook with pork belly and in between the slices of pork belly was slices of potato
and I haven't yet figured out the sauce that was over it. I've got to learn how to make that dish. I need a local cookbook. Maybe it's in there. What you & Felix were chomping down sure looks good.
Mahalo.
So much nostalgic flavors! If you perfect the recipe let us know!🤤 Mahalo for watching🤙🏼
That musubae is a new one I like try.

Nope. Still nothing. lol. Guess I don’t venture enough 😄. Another great video 👍🏼

Wow! Hawaii is such a small world🥰 Mahalo for watching🤙🏼
Hahaha bradah look like he was jealous when Amanda was eating giving her the side maka you too are great.
I've been overseas for several years. I hope Kim Chee 2 is still there. My family had a lot of yummy dinners there. Super nice family owned business.
We’re not in Hawaii yet but we ordered our Musubae and Bae bowls in advance already! Haha! Thanks Amanda and Felix!! 🥰
Wow that looks delicious!

You gotta try the lilikoi bar at alamoana foodland farms. To die for
Kapalono!! Have you guys reviewed Fort Ruger Market yet? Still making my way through the playlist 😂
Hello foodies! Just want to tell you guy. My grandma said Felix is very handsome. And my 10 year old sister said Amanda is so cute with her bangs. 😀❤️🌴
Aww how sweet of them! Thank you for such kind words🥰Mahalo for watching🤙🏼
I ordered 3 different Bahn Mi to do my own taste test review. HOLY MOLY!!! Let me just say... quoting the Terminator... "I'll be back!" 😋😋😋
Seriously, your viewers should check out this place. Even if they didn't want you to video record... pictures would have sufficed for you to do your review. Just say'in. ???
Anyway, Mahalo for not mentioning the "No Name BBQ" bahn mi place... it was ONO Delicious. 😋❤😋❤😋❤
Just wanted to add... Yup! I agree. Pipeline Bakeshop & Creamery is the BOMB. They're gosh darn awesome! Their peanut butter cookies are crazy delicious! Their malasadas are lightly crispy on the outside, and super soft and fluffy on the in inside. Absolutely heavenly. 😋❤😋❤😋❤
very cool!
Runny egg over hot rice with a drizzle of shoyu! Thanks for gaining weight on our behalf Amanda and Felix. Keep up the good work! Love you Kaimuki!!!!
We hope we aren't gaining too much weight! 😰 Mahalo for watching🤙🏼
@@AmandaFelixEats I believe that location was called Burgerland in the '60s.

Soft boiled over hot rice and shoyu. Mmm.
Yes!! Mahalo for watching🤙🏼
The price sounds right up my alley, but when I visit I use THE bus system. I'm afraid that by the time I get back to my hotel it will be cold. 😔 Great video tho. 😀
Can you go to The Pastele shop and Gulick deli in Kalihi. It’s so good.
Damn do you guys workout with all those goodies you eat ?
Can you guys try the bald guy food truck? I believe they are by Giovannis
* Spicy Lemongrass Chicken Sandwich
* Oxtail Soup
* Summer Rolls (sauce for it is so good)
* Coconut/Haupia Tapioca Pudding
I truly love this place... the food and the owners. ❤😋🤙
Back in the 80's
That bahn mi place with “No Name;” it’s a shame they didn’t let you film cause their sandwiches are awesome.
5 Shaka rating 🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙
Mahalo for the insight! And yes, we need to revisit pipeline for their other offerings! 🤙
Did Kawaii Bowls open up a store front. You had mentioned that they are possibly opening up one soon. But, haven't updated us on this.
Unfortunately they haven't. No recent updates on their status
@@AmandaFelixEats Thank you. That is sad. Hopefully they will open back up soon. I would love to try what you guys had tried.
Hello Amanda and Felix, Have you been to HY'S steak house yet ? Local business now 40+ years in Hawaii.
Aloha! We've been many times just haven't filmed yet😆 We definitely have it on our filming to do list though! Stay tuned🤤Mahalo for watching🤙🏼
Was that unnamed Vietnamese Sandwich place No Name BBQ Sandwich?
That Broken Rice..
You both be knocking out videos. Do you usually ask permission if you can record in the restaurants you visit?
My gf and I will be in Hawaii and want to know what the process is for recording video in restaurants. Are most restaurants/businesses okay with recording them or the inside?
Most places are welcoming, but there are some older, less accommodating places too! Mahalo for watching🤙🏼
Kapāolono Community Park
That's the one! I couldn't remember the name. I used to drive past it every day on my way to work at KCC. Also, Jake Shimabukuro lives a block away from there too (or at least he used to if not anymore). :-)
Correct🥳 This park is so special to me🥰 Many summers at summer fun here and swimming lessons! Mahalo for watching🤙🏼
Wow, you would think Pipeline would like the fee advertising.
I don't think it was Pipeline. It was some Bahn Mi place. They didn't share the name or any videos/photos from the place.

This (No Name BBQ) bahn mi place has super high reviews on Yelp, so hopefully, you'll reconsider your decision and check this place out for yourself, because they are worth trying.
It will be extremely sad if a local business is tarnished due to a mistake or misunderstanding... which totally goes against supporting local businesses.
I don’t like runny eggs🙁 I’ll try anything else
Me neither
I noticed Kawaii Bowl hasn’t posted on their IG for a year…are they still in operation?
They aren't currently operating.. possibly opening a store front soon!
is shirikoya japan walk at ala moana open ?
No news as of yet
Is Kawaii Bowls still in business?
Kapalono park
Correct! Many summer funs and swimming lessons spent here🥰 Mahalo for watching🤙🏼
Kawaii means cute in Japanese , it’s pronounced ka-wa-eee. But good job describing da grub.
that first bowl looks like a bunch of flab.
Why would a restaurant not want free advertising? Sounds sketchy...

I also watch other local TH-cam content creators, that do food/eatery reviews, and they too have been told not video record, and even NO pictures, but that didn't stop them from doing an honest review. Personally, I respect that.
Thanks for the egg porn!
What does pipeline have to hide. Only a fool would not let you film
It was actually a different shop that served sandwiches. We did not include them in the video out of respect for their privacy.
😬 (cringe)
You folks are fortunate to have a well deserved large following, as well as a strong influence on your viewers, which is pretty powerful stuff to promote a business, but it can also hurt a business as well. 😬
I was mainly disturbed by some of the "shady" comments, or anything that implied a tarnishing remark by your viewers, as well as you supporting them with a ❤. Over video vs. pictures? Yikes!
So, for example, because of your review on Kuhio Grill, I went there with excitement to try their food, and especially to experience their super friendly (Hilo-Style) service. Let me just say, I did not get the same experience from the same person that helped you. She was not at all upbeat as she was in your video, and did not help me open the door when I was trying carry out a huge box with a heavy load of plate lunches that I picked up for my family... there was no other customers in the place other than me... she may have been having a bad day...🤷♀️
I still gave them a 22% tip, which came out to about $27. Did they deserve the tip? Maybe not for this particular day, but I don't want to have one off day be my final judgement, as well as not doing my part in supporting a local business. I'll will go back and try again on another day... hopefully, I'll get your kind of special treatment on my next visit. 🤞
My point, I was influenced my your review, I didn't get what I was expecting, but I didn't hold it against them for this one off incident. 🤣
Anyway, just wanted to say, I truly enjoy watching your videos, and lots of times I have cracked up over your humorous and entertaining demeanor.
