Hopefully arcsys can make some changes, let me know what you liked/dislike about the 3v3 beta and come disc easier to chat :D discord.com/invite/raynfgc
Personally my big thing I want is one health bar per person making it so everyone has more of a chance to play and one person can't just hog the main slot also if they were to do this probably nerf or get rid of the healing skill and another small thing is make switching out for the main person just one button instead of 4
i feel like the assist abillities shouldn't even be in the game or at least have an option to turn them off. they clutter way too much when 4 people are constantly spamming them
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they didn't do the beta for balance and more just to stress test cause though i had fun, i dont think they even tried to balance it. Its just raw chaos, fun though.
1. Give each player their own health bar proportional to they own character’s HP. This has to happen. 2. Assists must be less frequent. I agree every 30 seconds seems about right. The power of them is fine, but it’s so frequent. 3. Tagging needs to be able to happen multiple times, it needs to be near instantaneous, it should be where the incoming player requests a tag, and the main player simply presses all 4 attack buttons and the tag applies instantly. No cool down or X out because the assist character just did something. 4. Same with assists, tweak their power and responsiveness, but mostly make them a bit less frequent. 5. Need to pair teams with similar connections, we need to see what the ping and rollback would be before the match just like normal matchmaking. Also we need to be able to switch up mains discretely based on the incoming team.
Everything you said, and yeah separate health bars with only one round. Right now, it's little more than a meme that most players will spend a few hours with max. Chaos can be fun, but not 100% of the match.
I think assist should still be invincible, but not invulnerable. If you hit an assist when it's out, they get knocked back and there's a time penalty, maybe an extra 1 or 2 seconds. This would add a little bit more thought behind using assists as if you use an assist mindlessly you not only waste an assist, but get penalized for doing so.
I believe people using a meta or using the best possible team comp to win is something that would obviously be the death of the mode. Its a party game and its not really meant to be a serious or competitive mode, and i think people need to stop analyzing it as one if the game mode is going to flourish. There are objective problems like the lobby system and the inability to re-queue with the same team after a match but doing things like giving each individual character a health bar and forcing people to play would kill the mode. The mode should be balanced around the idea of it being a party game rather than a fighting game. Reducing the amount of damage assist do or making it take longer to use some items would be fine but it would be a bad idea to force people to fight even if they dont want to or having individual healthbars that causes a team deficit if one team member dies.
I mean this very respectfully but this has got to be the worst take ever. Who tf is playing a FIGHTING game and doesn't want to FIGHT??? Nobody who wasn't already interested in Guilty Gear is playing this mode, and the game being pure chaos because there is an assist every 7 seconds and nobody can see what is going on, does not make it any more fun for anyone. Giving everybody their own lifebar, simplifying the gameplay by reducing the frequency and amount of items and assists, and giving clarity can turn it from Mario Party to Team Smash, which in my opinion would be way way more interesting and fun
@@Raynfgc When the maximum amount of rematches occurs the leader of a lobby is sent back to the lobby screen. Initially it appears as if your teammates do not rejoin you, but after a short delay they do. The team stays together. You do not have to recreate the lobby.
Like you said, assist and spells are broken. Pressure and combos gets interrupted all the time and players can win or get close to winning by playing defensively. Assists and spells can do the work for them. I actually lost to players less skilled than me because I can’t play the game.
Honestly, I HARD disagree with giving one health bar to each person. The whole point of the design of this mode is so that people have the option to hang back if they don’t feel like playing, to allow newer players to have fun supporting more experienced friends (or just take a break/have a more low key experience). Giving everyone a health bar would force people to engage with the game directly each match, totally ruining that, and I’m not convinced it would actually fix any of the game’s design problems either.
just turn it into KoF. needing *five other* good connections in GUILTY GEAR STRIVE was a red flag from the beginning. should be 1 player vs 1 player, 3 characters per player.
I think they should also make Assists hitable, You can just mash unstoppable assists so quickly that you never get to actually do any combos or actual gameplay. As you've said they should slow down assists and make them less frequent but also make them hitable so that they cant just Danzai spam and you just have to hold that shit, ggs go next.
The fact that assists cant be stopped by hits is cheap. Personally i dont understand why they couldnt make this a more traditional 3v3 tag game like dragon ball fighterz. And the have items makes it feel like im playing mario kart. Also the shared healthbar is a terrible idea, again they should have just made it traditional marvel style stuff.
@@ShellShocks14 see the first time they announced it I thought that's what they were going to do. I was very surprised to see they went a half mahvel half kusoge route instead. I feel if they made some cote changes this mode could be more viable and not so random

Also nerf the fire floor skill that one is so annoying
Yooooooo, hello blade

just FYI you could set tag to a macro in the 3v3 beta but it's still weird that they made the base input that

people with unstable connection shouldnt be aloud to play

If they separate health bars, and make assists unable to be used when in hitstun, it would be fine.
Anyone else like how big the screen is in 3v3, I kinda wish I could use that size in 1v1

My idea for the obnoxious swap button was just to set it to the right stick or some button you rarely if never use 😭
You do not have to back out and create the team again when returning to the queue screen you imagined that
no your team has to rejoin on you it doesnt keep you together

hey rayn,do you play asuka as a secondary or was this just for this video?and if so what do you think about him?(not only 3v3 but in general)
I've played a fair bit of asuka I think he is really good but very punishing if you mess up

Delusional pls never type again
i agree with you! some should be able to play a support role and not feel forced to take main position
If you don’t want to play Guilty Gear then don’t play Guilty Gear

Couldn't agree more hitable assists adds small bit of nuance that I think can make it much more engaging as an assist player.
I still dream of the game having a proper arcade mode with adjustable difficulty
Kusoge Gear Strive: Blazing Bullshit edition
It needs to work more like dbfz with every character having their own health bar and stuff
buff zato
Nah they should fix Slayer tired of getting 2 tapped
Second or third?

or they couldve gone KoF style. imagine building teams that compliment each other as the match goes on.
