Wow! This is the first time I see something accurate about her life. Thank you for telling her story. Yet, I’d like a proper biography/movie about her but sometimes I wonder if it’s already too late. I’m glad to see that some of us still remember and honor her. Love you forever, Cap.
Thank you for your comment, my only goal was to provide an accurate retelling of her life! There are so many inaccurate sources out there and very few authentic sources so I fear a biopic would be difficult but I would love to watch one someday, more people need to know about her immense talent.
Capucine was a dear friend of my family. She told us about a conquest she won : Starlette Claudine. The winner was dressed by Jacques Fath. Jacques Becker was a member of the jury. Does anyone knows about it ? Claudine was a magazine for young ladies. I was a child or a teenager at this time. I wish I could remember better. I was so very fond of her. ❤
So happy to see that some people remember capucine 💜I love her soooo much and I saw the building where she lived in Lausanne. There is a great interview of her on TH-cam, it‘s in French I could translate it if you haven‘t seen it
Oh how wonderful! I've always wanted to visit Lausanne just for that purpose, it must have been a surreal experience. I would love to have a translation, unfortunately many of her interviews aren't translated
@@midsummernightswork totally, It was very moving to see where she lived « chemin de primerose ». It was a really quiet place. I can definitely translate the interview, where could I send you the translation?
I saw her in an episode of hart to hart and wanted to know more about her. she just had a striking presence there was just something very different about her that stuck out
Very well put !!!! Couldnt hv described her more properly!!! I've always said that Audrey Hepburn is our modern day Nefertiti....but with all the charm!!!!
She did not hide her orientation; in an interview with Bose, she said that she would not like to be called a lesbian. she respected men and valued them. at the same time, in the same interview, she admits that she would not like to be called heterosexual. however, the first marriage with Piero Trumbo, then Feldman, Holden makes one think.
Refined beauty.
Walk on the wild side.❤❤❤❤

So fascinating. Thank you for this wonderful tribute.❤
Well done. What is the music in the last third? It's so familiar it's driving me crazy
I like your specific British accent! It has a cool, unphased, couldn't-be-bothered quality. Good video essay, as well!
Thank you, I was trying my very best to keep my excitement to a minimum, so that worked😅
@@midsummernightswork Mission accomplished! The deadpan voice also helps the listener focus on the actual information.
I am in love with this women
More people need to take notes and fall in love with her too!

I remember that episode, one of the few instances she played a villain, and she pulled it off brilliantly!
@@midsummernightswork I loved her character in the ep! Had Jennifer going around stealing jewelry like a crackhead 😆
What a face. Incredible. A caucasian Nefertiti.
Very well put !!!!

Le film Le Foto di Gioia sera projeté à la cinémathèque française le 6 décembre 2024 sous le titre Delirium. Capucine y joue le rôle de Flora.❤

Because she wouldn't put up with the industry's sexual advances
