Take a trip to Laon and see the similarities: th-cam.com/video/BP9vRLaHnlc/w-d-xo.html

It's super close to Paris too. Just 25 mins by train and then 30 mins by bus. There used to be a rail line to the city, but they decommissioned it in the 1950s. We have added this city to our favourites list. It's just lovely there.

Sounds like a great plan! We would like to visit Croatia in the near future too. From what we've gathered, it's a gorgeous country.

@@AntonandSinan it certainly is. I would like to live there as I have dual citizenship. My parents migrated to Australia in 1970. Something is calling me to go back to Croatia.

It's close to Paris, so it shouldn't be a problem. It's right next to Chantilly 😊
edit**: if you are visiting Paris and it's part of your itinerary, of course!

I stayed with a host family for several days over Easter weekend in my senior year of high school. This was towards the end of our tour of northern France. The family was really nice. Their home was built into a Roman wall. The basement had these giant Romanesque columns. The Rachet family. I think about them sometimes. That trip was almost 30 years ago now.

That's pretty cool. Travel experience truly leaves an imprint on us, parts of it stick in our minds forever. Perhaps this is one of the many reasons why we started the channel in the first place. Thank you for sharing this.

Salut Guys! Yes,this town looks great. Medieval vibes indeed and those pretty stone houses and streets crossing, so charming. I like what you said,Anton..like an open museum. I was waiting for the moment we enter the cathedral with you. I love it. Its beautiful and the preserved statues and ornaments and even colours as Sinan pointed, just great. I'm sure there was a lot more to be seen and experienced there. A day is not enough, I can feel it. The architecture is pretty. Kind of bringing you back in time. I hope you enjoyed the local beer in the heat :). You looked happy and satisfied from the visit. The trip was worth it and I enjoyed watching you and hearing the info and stories in it. Well done and thank you both 🙃👍☀️

PS about the beer, it's made with honey, it's light and has beautiful, sweet aroma. 😊

@@AntonandSinan C'est reciproque. My pleasure. How interesting about the beer. I personally don't consume beer and alcohol by personal choice only, but I am always keen and curious to hear details about food and drinks in general. And specifically since I enjoy watching you,I am interested to know your opinion and experience when you have any f&b here and there. So ueah, thanks :)
