Great to see these modeled and being worn, the effort you went to in making these really comes across, those buttons are sublime - well done buddy, pity we didn't get to see all the extras you put in
Amazing work, it's been awhile since the Savage one has been this exited! Make a deal with Caterpillar or something on those pants they absolutely look like work-wear ready to go!
I'm definitely getting some Mr Hammond, Jurassic Park, vibes with the all and the glasses. Cross over cosplay, oh oh oh you could do the cane with a tiny xenomorph in it instead of a mosquito.
I noticed the mug/cup as soon as Adam took his first drink. There’s some nostalgia there for me as we had those when I growing up. I’m impressed by the knee pads and the number of pockets on those pants.
Im so glad we have this channel. I have no friends and especially no friends who are into stuff like this so Adam has been that friend for me. Love seeing you get excited about your new things! Wish i could dress up with ya and have a bunch of funny reenactment moments
I saw that mug at the start of the video and was thinking “hey that’s from the movie!” I remember my mum having those years back too and thought they looked like the ones in the movie, so glad to have that confirmed all these years later 😄 now I need to see if she still has them stashed away
Adam, I'm a HUGE fan and a sci-fi prop collector of over 2 decades. I've also ordered one of these costume from Adam, including the jacket. I'm so excited to wear this. Thanks for being you! I LOVE Tested. -C

Writing a book is hard. Its years of grueling work agonizing over every word. Props to you. COVID has been such a soul crushing drag. And the internet can be a terrible place full of haters. You walk a hard road and I wish you well.
The thing I see most people do is just get a couple cheap F-91 watches and 3d print cases to stick them in that make them look like the Nostromo crew watch.
The shirts are quite baggy in the movie! Worn mostly open with a military green short sleeve T shirt underneath (except Ash). Most of the crew wear blue wings.
Fantastic work, Mr. Ezekiel! I made a Dallas shirt and pants from scratch a few years ago, as well as the jacket - and wore them to DragonCon a few times - and it took me over 6 months to complete. I even hand-embroidered the wings, and those things were a PITA; and let me tell you I thought I did a great job until I saw these wings :P - they are perfect. So I have a true appreciation for the effort involved, and wow, the whole uniform is amazing!
Hey! I think I see some of the Custom Pencils I made Adam, in that top pocket. Glad to see they are getting used..they were supposed to be a practical item and looks like they totally let you customize your utility use for this shirt!
I just purchased the ivory uniform from Adam Ezekiel and its just magnificent. I chose the silver wings. The craftsmanship is beyond this galaxy. It fits perfectly and is so comfortable. I also got Brett's hat with the bullion scrambled eggs and it has become my most favorite hat ever!
Oh I am going to be making so many modifications to my favorite pair of pants after seeing this. The same-color knee patches especially, subtle, but they add so much to it
I wonder if their is any significance to the colour of the piping used on the shirt? The German army in WW2 used different coloured piping (known as waffenfarbe) to denote individual branches within the armed forces. For example Rose-Pink, as shown on the Aliens crew shirt, this was used to denote Panzertruppe.
The costume designer; John Mollo was also quite the history buff, a collector of antique military uniforms and the author of several books about military fashion, along with his brother, Boris Mollo. Different coloured piping was commonly used in military uniforms mostly Russian, British and American since the ~1850's. And is common to this day. In Alien's case I think Mollo just implemented his passion to detail and military history. I also think that the piping was added at a very late stage to the uniforms, in order to add more detail. You can see on film that the piping is sloppily sewn under the collars and pocket flaps :) Besides, the colors just work perfectly.
So Great for Adam to share his know how and what products and tools to use. A blessing for those who like to turn ideas into realIty. ⛩Thank You Adam.⛩
Note from someone who makes stuff for other people to wear and wash and wear again. I ALWAYS pre-wash my fabric before I cut and sew. Then it's done all its shrinking before I make it to the client's measurements.
adam has went above and beyond with this he will surely have orders coming in for the uniforms and maybe other tid bits with that level of detail i think he can do a WY company uniform folder for all levels
Do we know what the shoes/trainers/sneakers were that the crew/actors of The Nostromo wore on set. Tried to replicate them using Converse as a basis, but they never seem quite ‘right’.
The Medium looks perfect on you, for a utility shirt for work it feels more believanle if its a bit looser and confortable. Plus if I remember well the Alien crew wore their clothes in the loose side
Correct! sloppy and untucked. Except for Ash, after the wakeup scene, he is always fully dressed, buttoned up and shirt tucked nicely. Odd.. is the film maker trying to tell us something?
At 12.12 when Adam says "can I make my butt look good" the subtitle say boat. I like the subtle Finding Nemo reverse reference there ;) Totally unintentional I know ;)
NOOOOOOOO, don't put it in the dryer!! If it's 100% linen, line-dry it. 100% linen wrinkles BAD, so I hope it's actually a blend. That all said, DAMN, they are gorgeous!
Is that the pen Dallas pokes into the acid hole in the deck? Wonder if you could make another replica of the damaged pen by modifying a Vape machine to make the smoke?
Huge fan of Alien, and that whole universe. Amazing wings and costume man 🤯 wooooow.. watched the movie again last night. I have lost count how many times I have watched Alien. It is still so good ❣ you got the coffe mug right too 😘 cheers in that. They come in lots of different colours.
@@davidwarren9204 The crew never verbal that, they just call it "The Company". But if you look closely in the opening scene, its written in one of the computer screens and it's even imprinted in red on Kane's undergarment..
The green jacket John Hurt wore in Alien is an interesting one; it has what seems to be a unique three-cornered version of the Union Flag, and appears to be a short-lived aircrew jacket for Royal Air Force large aircraft crew. Perhaps it implies that John Hurt's character Kane was a Brit and once served in the military. Essentially it was a jacket to wear over a light flight suit. IIRC, it was only issued for a few years fro the late 1960s to the early 1970s, and only used a small number of aircraft (probably the Hercules transport). It was something that 'army surplus' fans could only rarely get, like the WWII paratrooper's Denison smock was by the 1980s.
I just got a Nostromo patch set for a grey jacket I got working for a company during covid (I'm a stagehand, maybe back to that next month??) The jacket had some company logos on it and I'm covering them up, the jacket is a dark grey all weather style that wouldn't look really out of place in that world so I thought I should keep it and just make it useable.
Alright, i have a question about the ‘story’ in the clothing as seen in the movie. Please pardon me if this is a long standing debate on RPF as i am not a member there. Ever since the various Alien books published back in the day (enhanced by more recent publications), i have had the idea that the crew uniforms are as brutalized as everything else on the ship. Washed ineptly and not always following instructions and too many times. So the colors are faded and a bit ‘tainted’ and no longer as issued. The piping for example may have been a red that just instantly washed out or maybe space bleach was used instead of the company approved stain remover. My feeling was that only Ash’s clothing was ‘as issued’ because, you know, robot. Mind, i’m not married to this thought, it’s just what seems logical given the overall look of the ‘world’ . Space truckers/oil platform workers just doing what it takes to get it done with what they brung. Thoughts? Btw GREAT cosplay goods and i am envious 😁
I think they opted for pink for how it actually looked under production lighting, as with the jackets. The lighting changes all and for ages they were debating the actual colour of the jackets because different shots appeared to show different colours. Even the shade of green for the t shirts was hotly debated!! They seem to agree on Pestachio for now anyway.. Obviously, when someone for up to the actual props, the debate was settled.

Hey Adam, Casio did a reissue of the F100 worn in Alien. It would be a good one day build to make a prop out of it
