I have the most games on the PS2 and it's my favorite. I just checked my list and I have 879 PS2 games. Of the other consoles listed, the Nintendo Wii I have 668 games. For the PS1 I have 254 games. For the xbox 360 I have 432 games. For the PS3 I have 552 games. For the Xbox one I have 73. For the PS4 I have 242. For the NIntendo Switch I have 7 games.
I have an Xbox One S (4 physical games, 19 digital games, 23 games in total) and a Nintendo Switch OLED (13 physical games, 24 digital games, 37 games in total),
I have the most games on PS2, Wii, Wii U, 3DS, Switch and PC. Defienitily I have the Most Games on PS2 over a freaking 50 games easily. Ps2, Wii, Wii U and 3DS belongs to my childhood. Defienitily love PS2, Wii and 3DS! 😊❤

The library that appeals to me the most is PS2.
I have always had both the Nintendo 3DS and the PS Vita and love them both but the Vita runs circles around the 3DS in every aspect from technology, graphical prowess to game library and other features. One of the most underrated handhelds ever made.
I'll have to disagree with game library. If the vita had more exclusives (and good one's) then they would've definitely sold more and see a vita 2. Agree with everything else

You can't include previous gen hardware games and back catalogues. They need to be games made for that console specifically. Otherwise this list is meaningless...
Not all recent or later consoles support all parts of the backwards compatibility.
Some PS4 games, while only certain amount, aren’t playable on PS5; and excluding digitally for some on PSN, none of the games before PS4 games are even playable.
While Xbox Series X/S does offer much more backwards compatibility than PS5, same as PS5 not all of the games before Xbox Series X/S are playable on Xbox Series X/S, and this doesn’t even include Kinect games and any others that require (a) peripheral(s).
Nintendo Switch only support Switch games for physical games. Backwards compatibility are only digitally playable on NSO while not others and depends on what games you are talking about.

@caetmoniza8907 the point is you don't buy (for example) a PS4 to play PS3 games. Yes backwards compatability is great but those weren't made for the console in question. A great example is the PS Vita, which was infamous for being an amazing piece of hardware but completely lacking the support from developers and failed due to the lack of games that justified buying the console. Yet it makes this list because you can play PS1 and PS2 games on it.
@@nickcrouch1258 not exactly. This list is simply about consoles with how many games can be played and that includes backwards compatibility. That still sounds like backwards compatibility aren’t playable on recent consoles. While some games get re released for later consoles, that doesn’t mean backwards compatibility games are excluded

Vita had some of the best experiences for me. The fact that I could play ps1 and psp games on top of some solid ports and the consoles own games, made it the best handheld that I’ve ever owned in my opinion.
I always had a DS and PlayStation 3 when I was a kid now I got a switch and im enjoying it!

The Switch 2 game library is going to be insane. With the New Power of the Switch 2, there are many more third party games, especially because Microsoft is now going cross platform
don't forget the Original Xbox Games too, seeing as you can get the DUKE Controller to use with Xbox One, Xbox Series X & S, which means the Xbox Console Library is now HUGE, as in how many of the fans in the comments and seeing this comment, had a Original Xbox account and brought several games from the original Xbox Store

The Nintendo Switch has the most ginormous library of games to be rank #1 at the end of this video?! Damn… after five general years (as of 4-27-2024 of this comment as a Switch Gamer of course) since I got my Nintendo Switch on 12-25-2019 a.k.a Christmas Day 2019, its no wonder I’ve amassed a library of 74 Digital Switch Games and 60 Physical Switch Games which total my amount to 134 in total nowadays, and I’ve been a Switch Gamer since Christmas 2019 of course. Its no wonder I have so many of them while I’ve only been a PS5 Gamer for two years (also as of 4-27-2024 of this comment as a PS5 Gamer of course) now as well, its also no wonder the Next Generation Successor to the Switch has been pushed to 2025… I wonder if the Switch will actually beat the PS2’s 13 yr lifespan record, one of these days, I wonder what?

@@dom0_2007 for final number of playable games on PS5 is not yet finalized, just like Xbox Series X/S and even Nintendo Switch. It may be because there are some games playable on PS4 but not PS5, only talking about PSN, but there may be some other factor into this

The switch is the kind of system that after its life cycle I will only own the first party Nintendo games. I’ll probably have 20 games the most even though the console has like 2 billion games in the eshop lol

Switch is probably the best to play modern titles on thanks to it's portability (if you don't count the steam deck as a console)
But for a box you plug in to your tv I'm mixed between ps4 or ps2 both have a lot of great games
But if we're talking about just the number of games, I'm going for pc, the amount of games (I know it isn't a cobsole but still, including shovelware and "those" Games) on the platform is insane

Starting with the 360/ps3 with the digital stores, there was a rise in indie games + anyone can put a game on these stores. Which is why there's thousands of games for $1

I'm sorry but for me PS4 is the best. Just... U have a lot of games, so unique, so different... U want western? U have Red Dead, u want terror? U have Alien Isolation or Outlast or RE, u want adventure? U have Uncharted, u want mythology? U have God of war, u want history? U have AC, u want heroes? U have Spiderman or Batman... For real for me is the best I'll never change it (unless it broke then I have to)

Even after over a freaking 7 years the Nintendo Switch is the Best Console with the Most Games and Super Mario Odyssey is the Best Switch game of All Time. I like you started this video with Super Mario Odyssey and there is Nintendo Switch Red Mario Oled version what came in last year's october 6 with Detective Pikachu Returns game. But Pokémon Scarlet and Violet and The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom versions of Nintendo Switch Oled are more awesome looking Switch Oleds. 😮❤

The commadore 64 couldn’t be considered because it was a computer but you could include the Commodore 64 Games System. All carts to my knowledge were compatible with it. As always please correct me if my facts are wrong 😊.
I completely agree with others that backwards compatibility should not count towards the library. It should only count if you need the console to play it. Because this list is not about computers, we can not count if they came out for computer. We are pretending they don’t exist for this example lol.
For instance, if we only payed attention to the games the switch has that have only ever come out for it, how close would we still be to that 10K of games? I’d love to see how the list changes when you can’t count a game that came out for the Nintendo entertainment system in 1985 today. Other consoles could have made the list and I would have loved to see which made it on.

Yeah while I think that reverse compatibility shouldn't be for inclusion... it's just so the jump from number 2 to number 1 isn't just completely mind boggling which it still is.... but they are right the amount of just pure shovelware titles on the platform is absolutely ridiculous and almost makes being at the top of this list pointless because approximately like 90% of the games are borderline unplayable... such a shame
