Nicolas Party: Sottobosco / Hauser & Wirth Los Angeles

“Sottobosco” is the title of Swiss artist Nicolas Party's first solo exhibition in Los Angeles. At Hauser & Wirth Los Angeles, the New York-based artist presents new paintings, sculptures, site-specific murals, and an architectural installation. Nicolas Party is best known for his unique approach to landscapes, portraits, and still life scenes created in pastel. With the new works, he explores the sub-genre in Dutch still life paintings called Sottobosco. In this video, Nicolas Party provides us with an introduction to his exhibition that is on show in the south gallery of Hauser & Wirth Los Angeles.
