Always felt I needed a pocket Miguel. Never realized how simple his combos are. He looks fun and I like how he throws everything into his blows. Whoo Hoo!
He is the best in the hands of fearless players. You get right up in their face and swing your +frames in their face. no fear. except when facing people with 11 frame high ch launchers like steve and the like.... then you cry while getting demoted, that matchup is hard at least for me
Nice guide! There’s probably gonna be a few more people who will wanna try the new Miguel and this is great for those people. It also helps show the combo potential and reliability of his new screw move
just bought tekken 7 and miguel was the first guy i looked at and thought this is a manly man, total noob to tekken and this guide is very helpful! thx very much!
I really struggle to connect the df1 after the dash, is there a big brain trick to it or do I just need to grind the execution? I most often resort to just dashing in and ff2,1-ing them
That screw into df1 into ff21 combo ender is giving me some trouble to pull off :( I might eliminate that last df1 completely for the sake of consistence
I had the EXACT same issue and I figured it out just now. when you do df1 into dash 21 (or dash 22) you should release the df1 (put stick/pad/keyboard) in neutral and then buffer the ff move. You can buffer forward ot FF moves without going into savage, the trick is not doing a forward input before returning your movement to neutral.
@@AqworldsAuildere thank you for this! I don't really "know" how to do a crouch cancel but I was able to land first hit a couple times after trying to crouch cancel!
I'm not sure if it's guaranteed, but my friend enjoys playing Miguel and with his shorter combos that end in forward hold forward 2,1 he's always able to get a stomp on me as a follow-up. I try to get up ASAP with side rolls or just down back and only if it's a longer combo I can block or get out of the way
Tekken community is kinda toxic. Every character is kinda broken in a particular way (some more so), but people don't admit it. The main problem with Miguel is that he's not played enough so people don't memorize the matchup very well, the same problem with ~50% of the roster. I think Miguel is super cool :)
0:40 why is that combo so insanely fucking hard? I thought miguel was supposed to be an easy-ish character... I come from Bryan and I find this character much harder to combo with. These timings are way too hard to do in normal matches unless I'm missing a crucial part to make the combo easier. Buffering the fF2,1 after df1 is insanely hard
Any idea why my combo count drops when I try to do the F F2,1 ender sometimes? Is it a timing issue? It usually happens after I try to connect it after a DF1 Any and all help is appreciated, thanks!
@@RyzingSol That's simply not true. If you input f after df1 connects, you go into 3+4 stance. You have to wait a LONG time before pressing ff2,1 after df1 connects to buffer it.
Sorry, but man, I am from Spain and his dub is dope af and the accent is 100% neutral Spanish (good because a lot of Spanish characters in the history of videogames have Mexican accent for some reason, like the villagers of Resident Evil 4).
The angry Spanish man got buff!
Typo! d/f+3,1 is d/f+4,1.

Hold back at the end of the combo and your character won't be grounded. They do a somersault and get back on their feet. No guaranteed damage.
