I actually like recast statues. It's not about how much money you can spend. No matter if it is a recast or an authentic one. It's just all about the love, the passion and the memories that you share and experienced with the anime. And that is, what I think, the most important part about collecting 😊❤
Here's the thing. Once statues are released the studios rarely, if ever, release a second run. You don't get in on that run, you don't get the statue. If the alternative is either paying a 2-3x markup from a reseller or nothing, then I see no problem with recasts since they usually come long after the studio has sold all their stock. Hell, the original creation of the statues is already morally gray as is, what with them being unlisenced.
I honestly think the recast obito is very nice, just a shame the wooden hand base looks that terrible, they really should've made that base better. Love this content, please do more of these recast videos soon, it's great content and my favourite video from you so far! cant wait to see more of these coming from you.

I’m just getting into Demon Slayer & just this morning bought a statue of that character in your avatar picture. It’s a 1/8 scale from Aniplex Inc. It looks so cool, he’s bringing his sword down and all the flames have taken the form of a dragon moving forward, can’t wait to get it, but it won’t be released for another year.
Oh, I love this Obito statue and of someone would ever bring me even the cheap one I wouldn't complain! The Gaara is indeed too ugly compared to the original though. Thank you for showing us!!!
I really enjoy your video and this kind of content like Fake vs Authentic I really love it. I have a real one and got to buy bootleg one and compare what different of them its fun! and some KO bootleg fake Statue did a good job I'm not tell that u should buy fake one better than real one but buy what u can afford and make u happy. One of my favorite fake statue is Goku GT Genkidama its did amazing job (with some glue to hold it tight) and fake Kisame statue is amazing too!
love your content bro, but this bootleg vs authentic is probably my favorite type of video you upload here, I've shown these vids to people who ask me why I spend so much on figures/statues and it's an eye opener for them to see the massive gap in craftsmanship and quality work. I don't say this out of spite towards anyone either, I just think it's just good educational content and a fun watch...everyone's financial situation is different too and this might be the only option for some so it also gives them a chance to see what they can get on their budget.
Official pvc scale figures have a lot more care put into then then this video could ever show, and they have something resin dosent have at all (unlicensed statues), quality control. We can look at good smile company who dose have some issues but there figures are hand painted, the amount of care put into then you couldn’t believe. myethos who dose a lot better then any unlicensed resin statues bam has never showed, bam has never showed a official pvc figure making people think they are bad when they can be and probably will be better then the resin statues depending on the manufacture
There is actually some high quality recast of these statues that cost 90$ and it really looks alot like the authentic. Ive already purchased the singularity workshop naruto & sasuke recast. I also have the dream studio itachi recast and its pretty well made.
From my experience collecting GK resins, resin recast and bootleg are very different. Recast studio will buy mold designs from the original studio and use it to produce statues after they release. It’s 99% as the same as authentic one and only slightly cheaper or the same price. Bootlegs they have to sculpt themselves using cheaper materials & paints and way more cheaper
I’m only just getting into statues, I’ve never bought a statue in my life of any size, but I seen the Berserk statues on Gem Mint Collectables channel & found them amazing, so I then started reading the Manga & fell in absolute love with the story. That’s now led me into other Manga like Seven Deadly Sins, One Piece, Demon Slayer, Attack On Titan, Hellsing etc. So now I’ve bought two 1/4 scale Prime1Studios Berserk statues, two 1/10 scale Seven Deadly Sins statues, and just this morning I bought a 1/8 scale Demon Slayer statue. I also got a few of those little Pop Up Parade Seven Deadly Sins character statues that I can place on the shelves around the Manga, I can’t believe they look so good for only $40, the sculpt & paint looks great.
I'm with you Bam authentic over fake because of you I bought my first resin statue off favgk and i love it I even did a unboxing video for it on my channel.
Honestly it depends, for example I have bootleg transformer movie masterpiece figures, they are half the price but have better paint and fixed the original versions issues.

tbh i like the fake gaara statue because of the 'cheap' lined in the sand/stone cause for me it kinda adds better effect but the authentic one does look far better but when a person doesnt have the money to buy the authentic one id judt buy the fake
Guys, just do like I do. The only problems with fake statues are the paint and the stand. The quality of the figure itself isn't that horrible. What I do is, I buy cheap statues. paint them with the citadel contrast paints, so nothing from the plastic shine comes through and build a stand with some styrodur, glue and paint myself. You have to invest some time, but your creativity isn't limited.
When you consider the price difference the original ones being almost 10 times the price the fake ones are quite good. For someone who is not able to afford the authentic ones these are a great alternative.

Space is the biggest premium you really have. So id rather one 1 super cool looking authetic statue I saved two years for then 20 super cheap statues filling up my shelves. but your milage may vary
Agreeing with pretty much everyone else when you say one statue is 500 and one is 50 I mean you could get 10 different cheaper made ones that as you admitted in the video aren't that bad. To me they all looked fine obviously not as good as the originally by at least they don't cost a months rent
the bootleg Gaara is not TERRIBLE but I'd personally repaint his eyes myself. of course the original has that love and charm that only the creators and people who are passionate about the characters put in. I say its mainly the price difference for some people. I can honestly say I'll never own a $400 Gaara statue XD would love to but never will.

The ones you chose don't look half bad at first glance. You realise the problems over time. The biggest butcherings I've seen are Fairytale statues. I wanted to get one but I couldn't find one that was even decent. I sure was not going to spend premium price but the low priced ones were way worse than what you showed here.

Its still better to buy authentic things rather than buying bootlegs or KO. yes undoubtedly most of the authentic figures/resin statues are pretty over priced, but if you tried to saved up and buy the authentic one rather than buying 2-3 bootlegs/KO figure (quality over quantity), you will received an happiness that you will never ever experienced when buying the bootleg figures/statues. (sorry for bad englsih but hope you get my point) still its your own money , what matters is your happiness but hoping that you guys will support the real creators and not the copy cat one.
One of my issues with these bootlegs is the cheap and possibly toxic materials used to make them. If one of the bootlegs burned I’d hate to see what kind of fumes would be coming from it.

There are these blue tablet like things that were specifically packaged with the hands and I assumed they were moisture protection? Are these some sort of sticky/stickum? How do I use it if so? Edit: oh this is the blue tack I heard you say. I guess I just put a lot of this in the hand slot and it will stick
