      Who is dividing Nigeria? The North has to put more effort in fighting insurgents and Nigerians have to stop the politics of ethnicity and religion. It is destroying our society.

It's not Lagos but, the city is growing fast & so is the cost of living! In the evening I was shocked, I swear I saw different kinds of sport & luxury car you could think of! The Centenary City Abuja was launched in 2014 but suffered delays due to government’s scrutiny under President Buhari’s watch. All has been cleared now, and the President officially endorsed the project in Q3 2018 and this was followed by a re-lunch in September 2018. The project is totally private sector driven now with no Government involvement and it is an Economic Free Trade Zone.
    It is a business explorer’s dream and you can create your rate of return to suite your portfolio’s needs. Investors i personally have reached out to are happyly trooping in to participate this 2019

  • @donhasco1374
    @donhasco1374 9 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    Come on guys.. This is a public private partnership (PPP) project which is fully funded by a Dubai based investment company. The Nigerian government has no say whatsoever in what happens in it as it is a private investment, but will surely reap its rewards once it is concluded. So to everyone saying it is not possible due to power issues and all what not; everything has been put into consideration, and all things being equal, the city should be set in 10 to 15 years.. We all need to be optimistic for once for the sake of our dear country. Yes, some foreigners will live and work there, but it is all a means to an end which is to bring in Moore foreign direct investment into the country. Many Nigerians will also live and work there, thereby integrating Nigerians to how mega cities and urbanizations are run. For the records, I think this is a more viable and sustainable project than the Eko Atlantic City.. But both projects need to be lauded and supported, as among other things; they would help in the attitudinal change of Nigerians, making us realize that there is a whole competitive world our there for is to explore. I'm sure the world cannot wait to explore the new Nigeria!

It has been tried everywhere. The poor and the middle class dont benefit. The money of the rich is parked and rarely trickles down to the people. This is what is happening right now EVERYWHERE in Africa. A few new shiny buildings cant be the deodorant for the rot that the elites left the people. A country with very little in the way of industry is going to build another city for the rich. Rwanda is trying to do the same thing. A country 25 years after the civil war that has built a cleaner country with some infrastructure, but it's people still make an average salary of just over $2.00 U.S a day. They are building these kinds of cities too. Only a few of its citizens can live there. Their neighbor countries are poor and cannot afford to go there or vacation. They offer very little in the way of industry. It will likely be a disaster.

      Spread the development, so that someone from Eastern Nigeria MUST not have the need to be in Abuja! Let people have choicest.
      Have you been to Washington DC?
      Compare it to other US states.
      What are our legislators doing? Are they sleeping?
      What kind of dumb rulers do we have?

      Nigeria has been gradually building all her wealth, infrastructure for awhile now. Even more like mega projects are being built like Eko(African Dubai), Centenary City, Imperial international Business City, Ayimba Economic City, Orange Island, and Greater Port Harcourt City. Other projects such as homes, buildings, hospitals, roads, dams, powerplants, and rails are being completed every year. Nigeria will be in the top 10 largest economies come 2050-60. Nigeria has one of the fastest growing middle classes in the developing world. GOD BLESS NIGERIA home to the richest and most influential Black Man Aliko Dagote, and the most Independent, Wealthy, Progressive, Industrious, and cultured Black People in the world. Nigeria's Rich are 99% Black unlike the other African countries who's wealthy are primarily White Colonist and Asian immigrants. All Nigerian businesses are native owned and expansive all over Africa.

    Renders on renders on renders, always showing renders!!! Where are the results? You are still on the "Approved projects" level, and i'm pretty sure they aren't finished yet. Stop downgrading other countries that are actually doing things for their people please!! Have a good day.
