Great composition! You are the only person on the internet I have found that does such a good job not only staying faithful the original but also being acoustic friendly. Having a lot of fun learning along with these videos.
mate!!! just discovered your channel. I was looking for the standard tuning take on this song because all I find are the drop tuning variations. I've been covering this for a while now but haven't been happy with the progress, so I ended up putting time into wicked game instead. I'm glad I found this now, I feel motivated again to continue this song. btw I'm a massive HIM fan, I'm assuming you as well? gonna check through the other HIM tracks you did 🤘 dude awesome awesome renditions of the songs
Thank you so much, brother. Yes, HIM was my favorite band growing up. My first tattoo was a heart on my wrist, like Ville has. At one time my collection of albums, singles, alternate releases, etc. was about 40 deep, and I was fortunate enough not just to get the retrospective box of vinyl, CDs and a USB that they released, but also to catch them in Michigan on their farewell tour. It means a lot that you found my video useful. It's taking me a long time because I'm busy and very easily distracted, but my long-term goal is to try and make acoustic, sing-along-able tutorials for every HIM song. Wish me luck, and feel free to stick around for that journey!
@@MrTomfooligans of course man, I am looking forward to all your work. I've got the heartagram on my left forearm which I surrounded with the same sleeve pattern that Ville has, it's only half sleeve tho, I want to get whole arm eventually but wanna have the rest a different design because it didn't feel right copying the whole sleeve of his haha. I discovered them in 2002, and instantly loved it. it sounds cliche but I honestly don't think I would have survived high school without discovering this band. I unfortunately never got to see them live because they never came to South Africa.
I'm glad you're finding them handy. I recorded It's All Tears but didn't like it. I'm also taking an online course in After Effects right now which I think will make adding the on-screen chord cues less of a slog, and hopefully I'll be able to raise the production quality at least back up to where it was before. Thanks for watching!
thank you ever so much! Great song, great tutorial - and it's not easy to do this acoustically! Also a great thumbs up for the play-along at the end, very helpful for practice!
while trying to play the riff it reminds me strongly Bullet the Blue Sky) so if it`s true, I`m so glad because two of my most favourite bands are connected by music, gave me such different but brilliant songs
