Yeah, I'd be down for a comparison vid to both the Sigma 16 and the 24GM. I love using my 15 for everyday shooting. It's a great compact setup on the FX30!
I'm afraid it's true, Sigma 16mm FTW! But it would admittedly be nice -- on rare occasions -- to have more controls, and I also hate the unremovable petal hood on the Sigma. But it pairs nicely with their 30mm & 56mm lenses.
Would also love to see a comparison between the 24GM !! Didn't even know this lens existed and have been eyeing the 24GM for a couple months now, might have to save some money and go apsc
For depth of field, yes. It will be equivalent to a full frame 22.5mm f/2.1. But the light gathering isn't affected by crop factor, so it still lets in the amount of light of a f/1.4 lens regardless
Would you say that f1.4 would work well for filming concerts? I am worried about it missing focus with the depth of field being so shallow. Thanks Glenn
At this focal length and the distance I'd imagine you're working from your subjects, I think the depth of field will be pretty manageable. Keep in mind that depth of field increases as you move further away from your subject
This is what I needed. Been looking to purchase the fx30 and an wide angle lens
Would love to see the Sony 11mm.

Cool. Thank you for the feedback

As you mentioned in video, for APSC camera. Not only the focal length is cropped but the Aperture also x1.5 (F1.4 x 1.5 = F2.1) am I rite?

I immediately paused and liked this video when I saw the Garbagr Pail Kids card...I'm an 80's kid, what can I say 😂

@@PhillipRPeck thanks Phillip. 👍
Dont forget the active stab works better with native sony lenses. Everyone forgets or does not know
I pretty much never use active stabilization but it would be a good thing to compare for a review's sake
that's crazy, so wide it can fit your monitor into the shot!!!!
Is the 15mm full frame ?
No. It is for aps-c

Thanks a lot
