I just flew a 414 which is similar to this. Brought it from CA to FL. I had an experienced MEI teach me the ins and outs of it, and I must say engine operation was single handedly the most important portion of the learning. keeping tempatures at reasonable levels and keeping the climb at a fast speed for better cooling. You really thread the needle on the CHT gauge near redline (just around 400). She was a beautiful plane to fly, and surprisingly not very hard to land and take off in. Make sure she's trimmed right for take off and she will easily lift off the ground.
I just left another video sight where AP mechanic warned against this airplane saying only the most experienced pilots should attempt to fly it. They said it's a nice plane when flown properly, but like in this video here, 7:49, how narrator describes how sensitive the engines are 'case crackings' and all. In fact, the last 'crash briefing' video I saw was a pilot in this plane who's engine overheated, then froze up, and they crashed. Is why the AP mechanic said this plane isn't for weekend warrior types, but rather for pilots with some serious logged hours behind them.
@@AviationBase got it. That makes sense. For this range of around 700K I would expect the finest quality of it with modern avionics and interior. I thought the common average is about 250K to 450K for most of them seen on the market.
Because the 421 will cost about $900 and hour, the King Air 90 will cost 1500-1800. The bigger King Airs only cost more and more. You need seriously deep pockets to play the turbine game
I have dealt with Raymond villalba twice. Dis- assembly & export C of A for two C172s of mine were done at E& E Aviation. I was extremely satisfied by the service he provided
Love the 421C and 421B...awesome aircraft!

What a Beautiful Airplane this is the Cessna 421Golden Eagle and it's from my Era the 70,s ofcourse when everything was Big, Bad and the Best !!! ❤❤😅😅
I've always loved the "delicate" engine conversation. Translation, you have to respect your machine and not abuse it.
lucky to get those photos while it actually flew!

A better aircraft
Why 700K?
New engines, avionics, paint and interior, no corrosion and so on.
@@a.b.6233 ok, but none of the shown ones in the video had this complete refit. For 700K it must be pristine in condition and specs.

Since there is no single price for a used 421, we take an arbitrary number within the range of the price for used models. In this case 700k

700k for this ??? Just get a used kingair and have a REAL plane !
Yes, the price for a 421 is between 400k and 800k

Hard to get excited about an airframe that old.

The most expensive to operate, maintain, and insure piston twin there is

should look like new inside.......nobody is inside much while it sits in the shop getting engine repair!
