    A Yak-28 but no Harrier?

    • @JoMiMi_h
      @JoMiMi_h 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

I know you might already know this, but
The Yakovlev Yak-38 (Russian: Яковлев Як-38; NATO reporting name: "Forger") was the Soviet Naval Aviation's only operational VTOL strike fighter aircraft in addition to being its first operational carrier-based fixed-wing aircraft. It was developed specifically for, and served almost exclusively on, the Kiev-classaircraft carriers (heavy aviation cruiser in Russian classification).
The Harrier, informally referred to as the Harrier Jump Jet, is a family of jet-powered attack aircraft capable of vertical/short takeoff and landing operations (V/STOL). Named after a bird of prey, it was originally developed by British manufacturer Hawker Siddeley in the 1960s. The Harrier emerged as the only truly successful V/STOL design of the many attempted during that era, despite being a subsonic aircraft, unlike most of its competitors. It was conceived to operate from improvised bases, such as car parks or forest clearings, without requiring large and vulnerable air bases. Later, the design was adapted for use from aircraft carriers.
      >>The Hawker Siddeley Harrier, developed in the 1960s, is the first of the Harrier Jump Jetseries of aircraft. It was the first operational close-support and reconnaissance fighter aircraft with vertical/short takeoff and landing(V/STOL) capabilities and the only truly successful V/STOL design of the many that arose in that era. The Harrier was developed directly from the Hawker Siddeley Kestrelprototype aircraft, following the cancellation of a more advanced supersonic aircraft, the Hawker Siddeley P.1154. The British Royal Air Force (RAF) ordered the Harrier GR.1 and GR.3 variants in the late 1960s. It was exported to the United States as the AV-8A, for use by the US Marine Corps (USMC), in the 1970s.
      >>The McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing) AV-8B Harrier II is a single-engine ground-attack aircraft that constitutes the second generation of the Harrier Jump Jet family. Capable of vertical or short takeoff and landing (V/STOL), the aircraft was designed in the late 1970s as an Anglo-American development of the British Hawker Siddeley Harrier, the first operational V/STOL aircraft. The aircraft is primarily employed on light attack or multi-role missions, ranging from close air support of ground troops to armed reconnaissance. The AV-8B is used by the United States Marine Corps (USMC), the Spanish Navy, and the Italian Navy. A variant of the AV-8B, the British Aerospace Harrier II, was developed for the British military, while another, the TAV-8B, is a dedicated two-seat trainer.

You did a pretty good job building the planes, but I see one problem you have that you can fix. Set only your horizontal tail fins to pitch, don't have the fins on your main wings doing the pitch. Set your vertical tail fin to yaw. And have all your fins on the main wings set to off except only the couple on the tips (those should be set to roll only).

By the way , the Wright flyer wasn't exactly a plane , it didn't actually *fly*, he *glides*, it needed a catapult to boost it in the sky.
Santos Dumont one actually flied with no boost or assistance.

This list does not include the Condor flown by Gustav Weisskopf
Flown first (the No.21 model) in a two flight demonstration in August of 1901
Then on January 22, 1902 (the no.22 model) was flown in front of 17 witnesses.
Both models used a 20 horsepower engine for flight, and a secondary 10 horsepower engine for ground travel.

Here's what I found from Wikipedia, you've built your yak 28 wrong: The Yakovlev Yak-28 is a swept wing, turbojet-powered combat aircraft used by the Soviet Union. Produced initially as a tactical bomber, it was also manufactured in reconnaissance, electronic warfare, interceptor, and trainer versions, known by the NATO reporting names Brewer, Firebar, and Maestro respectively.
It is twin-turbojet powered, and has a top speed of 1,840km/h

hitman22 The AR15 was developed in the 60's and it's the standard issue rifle of NATO countries today. The 1911 has been used for 106 years now, etc. This is because a good design, like the Cessna, lasts well after its introduced.

Those weren't the first seaplanes. I think the first seaplane that ever took off was in June 1905, I think the dude's name was Gabriel or something? He took off from towed glider and flew around 140 meters.
But the first ever successful seaplane flight was in 1910 by Henri Fabre.
