The music doesn't match the occasion
You set up the layered tray thing wrong. You're supposed to start with savory and snacks at the bottom and work your way up to the top with sweets for desserts.
The table you set and all of the place settings and decorations were lovely. You spent so much time on the elegant food and then the guests arrived and quickly ruined it. I felt bad that most guests bought cheap grocery store items, dumped their tons of purses, diaper bags, baby toys etc. all over the place. I think for future parties, hire a baby sitter, set up a jump tent or have the Dads take all the kiddies to the park to play while the ladies can relax and dine. Have guests leave all "baggage" in a guest room to keep the party room elegant and clutter free. Also, I think I would have set a dress code theme of "English Tea" or "Downton Abbey Meets Sex in the City."

IMO...tea parties are for ladies. Men and kids take way from the vibe of an authentic tea party. Call it a brunch.

HIGHLY FAVORED I think that’s totally appropriate, especially if you’re hosting! It’s more fun that way, being able to try different dishes that others bring ❤️ and it makes it a little easier on the host

Why are you all shouting so much? Is this a tea party? Or somethin else? The food is beautiful though....you made me hungry.
Why.is the man and the babies there? A tea party is suppose to be some relaxing enjoyable time of only women.
