His mom moved to Florida and he didn't want to go - he also said he didn't get along with his stepdad and he acted out, gave him mom grief - so Whitney invited him to stay with her. He was around 18 at the time, Bobbi Kristina was 14. He says this in the Dr. Phil interview in 2016. But also Bobbi Kristina also said the same thing in 2012.

First of all, Whitney adopted him, so he was Bobby Kristina's adopted brother. He witnessed both women's deaths, and they died under similar circumstances. Also, he never denied the marriage rumors. Bottom line, if he wasn't a professional "creep".... then he was in the ranking top ten!

I don't believe a single word that boy says...he doesn't seem genuine, and I'm deeply suspicious as to his motivations with regards to both Whitterz and Bobbi K. I think he was after the pound notes, and has abandonment issues (along with anger management problems). This whole story, from Whitterz on through, is just a painful tragedy, played out in front of us all. My heart hurts for Whitterz and her little girl. Success...fame, money...what a price they've all played, all because Whitterz was blessed with an exceptional gift from God. Maybe it would have been been better if she hadn't shared it with all of us, though I feel 'richer' having had her beautiful voice in my life. God bless them, and us, all.

I always believed from day one that Nick Gordon killed Whitney to get closer to the money through Bobbi Kristina and then he killed Bobbi because she was about to leave Nick for good and go live with her father Bobby Brown in Los Angeles 2 days after her death. Also, it surprises me how Dr. Phil seems like he actually believes Nick Gordon’s Academy Award act. Overall, this was such a tragedy and we lost two great people who loved God. There will never be another voice like Whitney Houston’s. She was phenomenal and angelic and her music is forever ageless.
I agree if you look at the interview when Dr. Phil brings Nick back after rehab he asks him about them getting Married he says that’s the only thing he regretted. They were at the justice of the peace & he suggested they hurry up to get on the road for a trip to Florida & they would get married when he came back. They never did & I believe he regrets it because had he waited those 30 mins to say I DO all of Bobbi Kris’s inheritance would go to him her Husband. I’m glad they didn’t but now Pat Houston has it & after hearing the leaked tape her daughter put out of her trashing Whitney & Bobbi was horrible she hated Whitney too smh she had nothing but vultures around her.

My ex (a religious studies professor at a major university in chicago) was a narcissistic sociopath. He literally performed this EXACT SAME act with me in the living room of his condo-tearless “crying” and all. My ex and Nick have the exact same face, facial expressions, and posture.

I saw the actual interview. We need to remember he was just 12 years old when he moved in with the family. He was from a dysfunctional family tha moved in with a rich, celebrity dysfunctional family. Chrissy was just 8 when he moved in. As children, they considered each other to be like brother and sister and she looked up to him and he was protective of her. That was the dynamic from the beginning. Two children living in chaos looking out for each other….and both covering the secret that Whitney, mom and mom figure, was a drug addict.
He is in a lot of pain. They all were addicted to drugs. Yes, he was enabling the daughter. They were enabling each other. They clearly loved each other since she was 8 years old. In her interviews, she said she had a crush on him since she was 14. They were not blood related so it is no surprise that when she got a little older than that, he saw her in a different way. Three things that were very clear in the long interview: 1. He very much loved both Christina and Whitney. 2. He was heartbroken that he could not revive Whitney and thought he let them all down; 3. He considered himself to be Christina’s protector. He was heartbroken over her passing.
Whitney died in 2012 and her death was related to her drug use. Chrissy died in 2015 and her death was related to her drug use. And, this young man died in 2020 of a heroin overdose. It is all tragic.
