One of the most spectacular versions of the Passion in my opinion. But maybe it's because I live in Rotterdam 😉.
But... Putting someone from Amsterdam on top of the Erasmusbrug in Rotterdam, that's a tricky one 😂.
The Passion is a Dutch musical-biblical event about the suffering and death of Jesus Christ, which has been held annually on Maundy Thursday since 2011, each time in a different Dutch city. The event will also be broadcast live on television. This was great again with so many people and so much passion and all of the Netherlands are looking forward to this💖
This song comes from the television spectacle The Pasion. Every year in a city in the Netherlands, the crucifixion of Jesus is re-enacted with Dutch artists who play a role and sing songs in the story. People can then walk with the cross throughout the city. Thousands of people do that as a memorial to someone. In this clip you can see the Judas kiss. Three years ago, an American version of the spectacle was also performed. It is one largest television broadcast in the Netherlands.

This is such a great show, every year there are many millions of spectators. The people that walk in the procession with the white cross are from all different backgrounds, and many different religions and there are even a lot of fans that are atheists. I guess it is about mutual respect and about a powerful story and amazing concert. Thanks for your reaction ;-)

When corona is behind us and the festivals are starting again, i really would advise you too flight to the Netherlands to join the Passion for once in your lifetime. This is an experience you want to have, believe me. This is huge, its spiritual and its almost godly. Its hard to describe but its nothing like a normal concert as this is way bigger. You are literally a part of that big and famous "musical" story where Jezus got crusified and where he rises from the death. "The passion"

And in a different city too.
With a new cast to play the roles as well too.
This is a great play or musical.
Its the easter story played out each year in a different city in the Netherlands with songs and story telling called The Passion :)

They actually brought The Passion to the US, but it wasn't successful.

They use songs from now to tell the story of Jezus. Every year in a different city. They use the most beautiful places of the city to film this.
such a great event every year.. just before Easter, they broadcast the story of the last days of Christ. Every year they have a different cast of Dutch performers who act out the roles of Jesus, Maria, the disciples.. and they use pop songs, sometimes change the words a bit so they fit the story better. This particular year Danny de Munck played the part of Jesus Christ. And this song tells people that there are no goodbyes !
