Toppers in Concert is an annual concert series by The Toppers, held in the Johan Cruyff Arena in Amsterdam since 2005 and with more than 40 sold-out shows it is the longest-running concert series in the Benelux. At the tenth edition in 2014, they’ve welcomed their two-millionth visitor. They once hosted a Christmas edition in Rotterdam Ahoy! Their repertoire consists mainly a mix of covers and original material and every year the concert has a different theme and the guest are asked to dress accordingly and boy! they do. I’ve been to almost every edition and it’s a party whether you like the music or not, it is like standing in a huge bar/club and everyone around you is having a wonderful time! I can tell you from my own experiences that the after-parties are epic with lots of jamming as they will all start to sing with the band playing at the party!

Anita Meyer, well... she is just great! Although she has a 'superstar status' overhere in NL (whatever that may mean), she is a very kind and friendly down te earth person. Just great.
This concert was if I am correct in the Johan Cruijff Arena (Ajax football club home ground) in Amsterdam. Normal capacity 55.000 sooooo.....
Fun fact: at 8.25 the camera catches a man with spectacles waving - he is our Prime Minister.

Its a sing-a-long concert that happend for a few days every year before The Covid, The Arena ( Johan Cruijf stadium ) holds between 55/60.000 people per concert, and they have had some world stars from all over the world as guest performance and ofcourse our local artists. They might be corny but its always a party, and apperently plenty of people need this otherwise they wouldnt be selling out every concert each year.
Been there a few times myself even tho Dutch music isnt really my thing, i did have an awesome time and loved the english sing-a-longs!

This Venue is the Johan Cruyff arena in Amsterdam. It's the home of ajax one of our best soccer clubs. The toppers concert are anual concerts mostely for 3 days in a row in may. Each night there are 50.000 People attending the concert. Every year there is a theme, that why yoy saw all those People Dressed up. Every year they have guest stars and the music is really varied. All kinds of musicstyles are passing by. Its just such a party, love it. I try to go every year. Hopefully next year there will be a toppers concert again. Thanks for your great reaction💕

Funny enough, I really enjoyed it.
It's one happy and big family together by De Toppers. But also bij Amstel Live shows.
The Toppers, went twice to their concerts. With Friends and family. Having a blast. Dress code , so everybody is wearing the same colors or theme. And then sing your heart out
Whether you like this or not , music is still music at it's core.
And this binds us , almost everyone is somehow touched or moved by it.
Taking away the personal feelings about this or taste in liking , "De Toppers" do this every single year.
The professionalism that is needed from everyone involved to deliver such a show and performance is to be commended.
Now , personally...
They needed to grow on me.
But they did.
They are giving the audience an unique experience.
They bring different themes and dress codes to every single concert.
And the shows sell out almost every single time.
No matter the formation they are in , they deliver!
The point that HxC brings up that for a moment in time you can forget all of your personal worries and unite is part of this amazing experience.
And those memories will resonate and will become powerful thing to look back on in times of difficulties or rejoice.
The magic of Music , no matter the genre...

The toppers in concert is THE music sing along party each and every year.. 4 of Holland's best male singers join on stage and perform loads of songs we can all sing along to..
They have a theme each year.. and these outlandish outfits.. it's great fun !! This was in the early years.. when Gordon was still with them.. he left.. then Jeroen van de Boom joined and later Jan Smith joined too.. Rene Froger and Gerard Joling are the only 2 original Toppers still remaining.

I actually attended this concert. They got big screen showing the lyrics above the stage, making it easier for people to sing along. Seems like fun was their goal, succeeded much.

Every year this concert is far over the top,sometimes also a dress code for the people .This is a medley all from Anita Meyers songs.

The Toppers are a temporary group, consisting of four guys who have individual careers. They come together once a year to do this sing-along concert. In this video, all songs are hits by Anita Meyer. You should have recognized René Froger (the guy who did Beauty and the Beast with Celine Dion 30 years ago and with Emma Heesters). The guy with the sunglasses was later replaced by Jan Smit, the host of Beste Zangers.

I have been to the toppers several times. every year this event is held in the johan cruijff arena. it is held over several evenings and there are between 65,000 and 67,000 people every night

The huge bunches of flowers were for the mothers of the Toppers.
This venue is the Amsterdam Arena (now called Johan Cruijf Arena). It's a football stadium and holds at full capacity over 50,000 people. For concerts this is 72,000.

Haha de Toppers 😆, I wouldn't play it at home but when you're there it is one big party. As we say in Dutch it is "gezellig", everybody dressed up in the theme. Very funny to hear a man from America reacting om de Toppers 🤣🤣 oh and it is very funny that our prime minister is also partying along. 😄

hey HC did you know that the guy in the audience at 8.15 in the middel waving is the president of the Netherlands these concerts are very popular under the selebs to they always spot them and they are always between al the other visitors without being bothered that is typical dutch that that is posible ... that is a very dutch thing

I went a few years ago to a Toppers in Concert show. It was fun. Yes it was corny, but that you know on forehand. Just a fun night out with. Everything is 'over the top'.

The flowers were given to their mothers, only one of the mothers is still alive, this was a few years back, only Gerard Jolings mother is still alive, sorry for this comment, there is always a theme cloths wise. Gerard Joling also did the Eurovision, he did fine.Gordon too with 2 others, this was not a great success .
