The council should be falling over themselves to attract anyone willing and able to invest £billions into Birmingham right now. The council have shown they’re inept at managing anything, including our money and the questionable policy decisions for decades. Birmingham was built by its great workforce and the vision and leadership of pioneers like Matthew Boulton, James Watt, Joseph Chamerlain, John Cadbury ect, people we are in short supply of today. If Sir Tom Wagner has the vision, desire and finances to redevelop a derelict, deprived area of the city, that the council themselves can’t, they should roll out the red carpet, give him all the support he needs and hand him keys to the city. He’ll achieve more positive change for city than the current councillors ever have.

A timely piece this, hopefully will calm down any negativity - fact of the matter is that Knighthead have put so much money in already they are not for turning, TWs interview was his way of lobbying the pinhead politicians, ensuring the support is going to be there to prioritise the infrastrucure for the development
Only good news if you know how these things work

Birmingham council need the likes of Wagner &co . Don’t let us forget that our new owners are pivotal in aiding an ailing bankrupt Council. Cherish Wagner and encourage- that’s the reality. Do not discourage.

I think the main thing Blues fans need to remember is that Knighthead are investing in Birmingham City because they are investing in Birmingham the City. BCFC is just a good way of making their in roads into Birmingham.

😂🤣😅..You know nothing about Birmingham city...Wagner loves the football club...Spent around £30million improving the stadium..It's all about the football..Gary Cook & Tom Brady where the main instigators in building the new stadium...Sorry you just Reek of jealousy..🤢

@jord5626 So his interest in the football club is just a rouse to get his feet under the councils table..God knows why he attended games with no interest in the football side..So they're just property developers..Oh I see now.🤔

As regard to transport to and from the new stadium/entertainment quarter would not a monorail be an idea running from Moor St/Snow Hill to the new entertainment quarter relieving traffic off the road.

It is good to hear from Tom Wagner on what is happening. The silence has been telling. I have been waiting to hear what was going to happen with transport links. There is no way that such a development can go ahead with the current transport links in place. The Government needs to step up and make good on the leveling up narrative that we have been hearing from Westminster in recent years. Our Council does not have a good track record of selling our City...BUT TW would be aware of this before investing....our Council does not have a good track record of supporting BCFC . Transport infra structure is a huge issue ( for everyone) Generally this City is poor regards sports projects ... look at Leicester with their football and rugby.. we are lacking as a Second City and need TW to help drive us forward..it would not surprise me if this 'project' went flat but remain hopeful that TW has the staying power....KRO

The council and the government should be biting Tom Wagners hand off,--the chance to regenerate one of the worst parts of the city,--which will be next to the HS2 area and on the fringe of the city itself,--its a no brainer,-they need to realise what a great chance they have to improve the city even further,-KRO.
