Watched proudly as my great grandfather was in the 36th Ulster division,,he was a joiner in Harland and Wolff ,,was a proud member of the orange order,,,he came home making Ulster proud ,, work there myself in Belfast,, awesome Band ☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️ and from East Belfast ☘️☘️

So good to see bands from the Emerald Isle coming over to Great Britain to play , it should never be forgotten of the the sacrifice of the men of the UK from Great Britain and Ireland gave in the the First World War , my ancestors from England and Scotland fought alongside these proud Irishmen
Amazing,There is not many flute bands marching who are still playing on Premier "Royal Ace" snare drums,The sound from these snare drums is so distinctive an absolute delight to listen to,Thank you David Cardwell for uploading this amazing video.......It's so good to be able to hear the flutes also.
@@wor53lg50 A bodhran is more like a large tambourine minus the cymbals there are cross supports across the back which the player uses to hold it while it is struck with a double ended drum stick or tipper with the other hand, it can also be struck with the heel of the hand. The Lambeg is much larger that a traditional bass drum, the drum sticks down have balls on the end, they are more like canes which strike the skin. Lambeg drums are not usually accompanied by other drums or flutes, in some counties they perform solo or in a duo accompanied by a few fifers (which I enjoy as it kind of makes sense to the rhythm of the drums) other counties have they play solo which I'm not to keen on as it just sounds like a rattle and I can't get the tune, there again I'm not that musical. It's those counties traditions if the Lambeg is accompanied by fifes or not.

36th.Ulster Division. Employable and well presented parade. Time factor: the dress and uniforms,etc. were 'spot-on'. Playing popular marching tunes for All to enjoy. (Orange Orders could do well following this example)

So much to like about this video, even if it is half step marching. I am from Sweden but think UVF stand for Ulster Voluntry Force? That means these are civilians, even if i think a few have served. Over all a really well performed march and especially like the one handed cadence of the right handed drummer.

Generations of the same family make them drums, the guy who's playing it probably made it himself or his dad like his dad before done the same...

Undoubtedly. If you're able to visit the Somme Heritage Centre which is between Bangor and Newtownards. All 3 Irish divisions are honoured.
Loyalist estates across Northern Ireland commemorate the Irish Catholic battalions too as they are ignored by their own Irish government.
